Policoro is an ideal location for a vacation that combines the pleasures of the sea, town, and countryside. Completely renovated in 2014, the 900 square ft apartment is on the first floor of a two-unit apartment building. It contains an eat-in kitchen with new appliances, a living room with a pull-out couch for two, 2 large bedrooms (with a queen size bed in one and a two single beds in the other), a bathroom with tub and shower, and two balconies that overlook the town. All the furniture is new. Thanks to its location in the heart of town -- only 200 meters or 656 feet from the main street and central Square – guests can reach the central bus station, the supermarket, the post office, and a number of banks, café’s, gelaterias, and shops in a few minutes The apartment allows guests to enjoy the tranquility of the town and its varied amenities, as well as the pleasures of the sea, with its clear, clean water and full seaside beach facilities, The beach is close to town, and can be reached by bus (the bus stop a few feet from the apartment), bicycle, or by car. The long beachfront of Policoro is bordered by two rivers, the Sunni and the Agra, and is surrounded by pinewoods, which invite long, relaxing walks on foot or by bicycle. Beside the sea, there are many other attractions: •One can visit the National Museum of the Siritide, where one can see the art and archaeology of Greek influences ancient town known as Siris and Heraclea, flowering centers of culture and commerce of the Magna Graecia. •A few miles away is Metaponto, another city founded by the Greeks, with archeological ruins, the Palatine Tables, and its own museum. Il Parco Nazionale di Pollino, one of the largest parks in Italy, is only 70 kilometers from Policoro. It is blessed with rare species and breathtaking panoramas, and is famous for its Loricato Pines, a symbol of the park and its wild, uncontaminated nature •You can discover characteristic peasant villages, small towns, and locale farms where you can savor traditional regional and peasant dishes and Mediterranean specialties. •Traditional festivals and musical events are held throughout the region in the summer months. The apartment house is situated in the center of town, within reach of everything you need. The beach is 2 km away, Matera 70 km, Taranto 70km, and all the ancient towns are quite close by. Calabria is only 10 km away.

No. 11 is located in the heart of the old town of Matera, the Sassi. The breathtaking view has been featured in several films, such as James Bond, the Passion of Christ and Ben-Hur. This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !

Nello spazio esterno, arredato con tavolino e sedie, è possibile incontrare e fare amicizia con la mia gattina e con il mio cane, un dolcissimo Border Collie .
