The Voorhuis of our national monument farm has been renovated into a fully luxurious suite with its own facilities. The original details, such as the high ceilings, the bedstee walls and even an original bedstee where you can sleep, have been preserved. Studio Thoes (Drents voor “thuis”) is volledig gerenoveerd. Het gebouw waar de studio zich in bevindt is gebouwd in 1936 en was vroeger een kruidenierswinkel. Na deze periode was op deze locatie een bruin café en snackbar gevestigd. In 1996 is het opgesplitst in diverse appartementen. De authentieke sfeer aan de buitenzijde is zoveel mogelijk bewaard gebleven, waardoor de studio een unieke en knusse uitstraling heeft. Reserveer nu uw verblijf en ervaar Meppel op zijn mooist!

The Nutcracker: cozy farmhouse front house

On one of the most beautiful rural roads just outside the village of Sint Jansklooster is the renovated humpback bridge farm from 1667. We have furnished the front house of the farm as a cozy stay for 2 guests who are eager for peace and privacy. The comfortably furnished front house has a private entrance . You have access to 2 canoes and a men's and women's bike. The many cycling, hiking and canoe routes let you experience the National Park Weerribben-Wieden in all seasons.

Staying with the farmer, who wouldn't want that? Discover the countryside. Enjoy the space and tranquility. Nice wooden little basic house, under the oak trees, with a cozy interior. In this area you can walk and cycle, such as "het Reestdal" and "het Staphorsterbos". In the area there are entrepreneurs who sell local products at home. Een prachtig houten huis gelegen op het erf van mijn ouders. Kom tot rust in een oase van groen van voorjaar tot begin najaar, een prachtig warm herfstgevoel wanneer de bomen van kleur veranderen of de knusheid opzoeken in de wintermaanden. In de prachtige omgeving zijn veel plekken te bezoeken. Giethoorn, vestingstad Steenwijk en de Havelterheide. Verder zijn er drie nationale parken in de buurt, NP Weerribben Wieden, het Drents Friese Wold en het Dwingelderveld.

Welkom in ons unieke tiny house, verscholen in een privébos aan de rand van het charmante Friese dorp Noordwolde. Deze moderne accommodatie is ideaal voor rustzoekers en natuurliefhebbers. Geniet in de zomer van je ruime prive tuin met zitgedeelte, een veranda en een hangmat tussen de bomen. In de winter zit je heerlijk knus binnen bij de houtkachel die de ruimte binnen no-time verwarmd. De tinyhouse is compact maar van alle gemakken voorzien!

Ruinerwold, 18th century farm

Our monumental farm is located between Meppel and Ruinerwold. The original front house offers space for up to 9 adults or 6 adults and 4 children. Since its construction in 1756, this front house has remained unchanged, and the oldest beams date back to the 12th century. The farm, one of the most beautiful in Drenthe, has been a national monument for more than 60 years and is not open to the public, but fortunately is described in several books.

Our lovely house is an old renovated farm, with all the comfort of today. The house has all the comforts, within walking distance of the beautiful historic center of Meppel (450 meters) and train and bus station (280 meters).
