  • Beautiful home and Doria was a great host and ensured I had everything I need for my stay. I was there to experience the birth of my great grandson and she was wonderful about me having to leave in the middle of the night when I got the call the baby was on his way. I would not only recommend her home but when I come back I look forward to staying again. Barb

  • Doria was a fabulous host, and her place felt like home away from home - very relaxed and comfortable. The location was ideal since we were biking the Bizz Johnson trail and Doria's house is right down the streeet from the trailhead.

  • Ryan and Denises place on Gold Run is a treasure if you get the chance spend several days here. We love to spend at least 3-5 The cabin and the cottage are cozy. The pond was frozen over this last visit. My grandson comes and we sit by the fire , play games, walk the property, Throw rocks in the river ( his favorite) I love the sounds of it at night. This would be my ideal place to retire Don’t miss out on a beautiful home centrally located close to everything in the surround area, This place will always hold a special spot in our hearts Bonnie, Brian and family

Our lodge styled hotel includes our new brewery & Pub. We are obviously a hotel so taxes will be collected at time of check in.
  • Place was great! room clean, bathroom supplies provided, free coffee/water, internet, and a nice view of sunrise. Super friendly staff. Only thing i would say to be aware of is that it is a smoker friendly hotel for anyone who's allergic.

  • It's a hotel! And a pretty good one. The rooms are well maintained, the staff is polite. There's a hot tub. As far as I can see, it's probably the most comfortable hotel in the area.

  • My boyfriend and I love this place more than any other airbnb. As a born and raised local, this has always been my favorite property in the area. We stayed 3 weeks and had every amenity needed for a extended stay. It's perfect as a weekend get away if your tired of the grind. Hard to get much signal but good enough Wi-Fi for calling and streaming if you cant fully unplug. We highly value privacy so this is perfect. Even when the main house was occupied we didn't feel encroached on. Nothing in sight but forest and a stream. Keep the window cracked and you can here the creek all day.If you are a fisherman like my boyfriend this place is heaven. If not,you can pan for gold instead. My hosts were just as great and always eager to help and responded quickly. I live 25 minutes away and already want to go back!

    Danielle2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so sweet and just what we needed for a quick get away. It was affordable, cozy and beautiful.

    Bailee2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Ryan & Denise’s cabin. The place was clean, quaint, and had everything we needed for our one night stay. The river was beautiful right next to the cabin and the place was easy to find with instructions provided and close to town. The loft was a little hard to get to, fold out couch was comfortable for the night and extra sheets were provided. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the property during daylight. Would recommend to others. Note there is another house on the property that you walk by to reach the cabin.

    Charles2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely the best place to stay in all of Susanville, clean beautiful scenery and Ryan responds quickly if you have any questions, couldn’t ask for a better host, Ron and Kitty

    Ron2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t go wrong with this place. Super cozy/cute/clean. Owners are helpful & responsive.

    Jessica2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! Our experience: we arrived after dark (DLS had ended), which made it difficult because there were not many outdoor lights on. But once we got to the cabin (not to be confused with the cottage) we were good. The cabin is a comfy in-laws quarters with a big main room for kitchenette/den/fold-out couch. Smart lock was a bit sticky maybe because of the cold. Internet was fine, but the router is in the cottage, so we needed to go in to it to reset and get access. Pretty quiet, rural neighborhood that is right off the beaten path and a great stop when you want to explore the area.

Camping mini-cabins we offer are a step up from tent camping, offering basic shelter without the hassle of setting up a tent. This listing is for a cabin we call "Definitely Not the Ritz" and features 3 beds with only a bottom sheet that sleep 4. There's a small nightstand a couple chairs, that's it. This is *almost roughing it*, but we won't spoil your stories if you tell your friends you actually were roughing it. Sleeping bags/blankets, towels and other toiletries are guest's responsibility
The shower and bathrooms for this listing are shared with the other camping cabin guests and the tent campers. It's in a common building about 100 feet away. A coin operated laundry and game room with pool table, ping pong and arcade games is steps away. There is a 5000' runway nearby that allows for convenient fly-in access to our location from virtually anywhere.
The view of the lake from the front of the park is great, but access to the lake is either a few minutes north if you're launching a boat, or about 30 minutes to the south if you want to swim in the lake from a beach as the only beach on the lake is at the south end. Beach parking is free, but the marina parking is $6 four our guests after the discount we've negotiated from the usual $8.
  • Great place. Would definitely stay there again. The convenience of the bathroom and showers was fantastic. The hosts were outstanding.

  • I can’t say much because we just needed a place to crash on our way to Crater Lake. Arrived at 10:30 pm left at 7:45 am the next day. The cabin was nice because we didn’t want to have to set up a tent late at night. Shower was hot, bathrooms clean. Beautiful area but we were not there long enough to have much of an experience to share. Frankie was super helpful and the store staff was friendly.

    Charlene2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Like Frankie says - it is camping without the tent. Basic but comfy. Had a nice steak grilled on the provided fire-grill. Enjoyed the sunset and the quiet. Thanks!

  • This place is super cute! Loaded with fire wood for the nightly bonfire and close to so many out door activities. The people in all the town's around showed amazing hospitality and really helped us to have a great time out there. The weather was warm and sunny so we 4wheeled into some great hiking spots. If you're looking for a mountain getaway and need some peace and quite I'd recommend this place to many! Also Mark is really nice, as well as all the staff there and so helpful. Mark gave us the best driving tip to get home and it made the end of our trip the best it could have been.

Eagle Lake RV Park offers tent spaces for more adventurous campers. Nestled among the tall pines on flat terrain, each site offers a fire pit and picnic table. Just bring your own tent and you're in business! The clean showers and restrooms are conveniently located only steps away. A playground and game room are also available for guest use.

  • Once I arrived, I did not stay at the camp site. A storm was brewing above us and pitching a tent wasn't too enticing. I was welcomed and shown the tent place and its amenities. All as described.

Cute farm homestead Wide open vast country Horses grazing, chickens pecking the corn and Piglets playing in the mud. Come see ranch life in person.
Unit C - is a cozy studio guest house Separate from the farm house in summer months this house is open to book In the winter months we substitute the guest house for the private master suite which also is a studio with private bathroom bedroom and private entrance. Access to main kitchen, dining hall with stove and baby grand piano in living room.
Close to Honey Lake, Amador and Susanville :)
  • We stayed in the Master bedroom suite at Troma's. Troma is very nice and accommodating. She made sure we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was fun to wake up to the sound of the roosters. We would definitely stay there again. It is much more personal than a hotel.

  • The cutest farm animals. Exactly what we were hoping for.

    Brendan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! It is a farmhouse, with historical significance, so please go into this experience knowingly. This might not be the best fit for everyone, but our family had a wonderful time. Our host allowed us to help feed her animals and this was definitely a highlight of our trip! The piglets were especially cute! The location has picturesque views of the mountains and sunsets/sunrises were spectacular. Beds were super comfy, the fireplace kept us warm and we all slept well. Janesville and Susanville are conveniently nearby for any additional amenities one might need. Many thanks for hosting us!

    Reve2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Troma was a wonderful host! She made me feel at home. Even brought me some sweet tea (I’m from the south so that was such a nice surprise!). She tolerated my unusually energetic dog too. Great stop over in the middle of a long road trip

    Ashley2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a place to relax , forget your worries and spend some time with animals in a great farm setting this is the place. I was the first to book at Troma's place and she is well on her way to being a Superhost! I booked at the last minute and received a quick response. There was another family staying at the main house who also booked later the same day. I communicated with Troma through email and by phone with no problems. As I got closer to the property she let me know that she had some last minute items to get for me and the other guests, but I was more than welcome to get settled. When Troma came back she provided outstanding hospitality getting me settled as well as the other guests (who arrived late into the night), all while taking care of the duties the farm required in between. Amazing!

The camping mini-cabins we offer are basic, ready-made shelter - a step up from the hassle of tent camping. This listing is for a cabin we call "Definitely Not the Hilton" and features 4 beds with only a bottom sheet that sleeps 5. There's a small nightstand and a couple chairs, that's it.
There are great hiking trails to explore around the lake. One of the best all-skill level ones is detailed here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/eagle-lake-recreation-trail The view of the lake from the front of the park is great, but access to the lake is either a few minutes north if you're launching a boat, or about 30 minutes to the south if you want to swim in the lake from a beach as the only beach on the lake is at the south end. Beach parking is free, but the marina parking is $6 four our guests after the discount we've negotiated from the usual $8.
  • A really unique experience staying in a cabin in the woods, scenic drive, central store had all the amenities needed, Frankie was a really cool and helpful guy that was accommodating with my late night arrival.

  • Amanda was super sweet when we met her. Her home was sparkling clean and was even trying to go way out of her way to make us feel as comfortable as possible.

  • Just as the description says; a room in a sweet mountain home. Amanda and her dog Tilly were both very hospitable. We had a nice clean room with a private bathroom. The place was quiet and a wonderful vintage fireplace kept the lovely tree house warm in the otherwise cold November day and night. If you know the danish word “hygge”, Amanda’s place is full of exactly that ☺️

  • Mandy is a great host. She is very thoughtful and considerate when sharing her home with us. The place is super comfortable, all the details to feel at home. The house is very quiet and the area peaceful. Only 15' drive to lake Almanor/Chester town and 45' to Lassen park. Her beautiful dog Tally is very friendly and playful! She totally deserves to be SUPERHOST! thanks Mandy!!

  • I only crashed there for one night, but it’s a clean place and a great value stay!

    James2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Super close to Lassen. A lovely home with a cute pup! Wonderful hosts, I felt welcome immediately. Bed was very cozy and the sheets were super warm- so nice after a long day of hiking. Wine and coffee provided and I got to try some delicious home made soup over some lovely morning conversation. Would return! Thanks again!!

    Jess2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at Amanda’s. We were looking for a nice dog-friendly place to stay near Lake Almanor, and were happy to find Amanda’s charming and comfy home in Westwood. Everything was cozy and clean, and the bed is very comfy. Our Husky Ellie had a blast playing with Amanda’s lovely dog Tilly. Amanda is super friendly and made us feel right at home. I loved the sweet and whimsical decor of the house, and would definitely stay again! Westwood is a small and quaint town, and was a perfect place to stop on our way up from the Sierras to Bend. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you Amanda and Tilly!

This charming little studio cabin is located in the popular Hamilton Branch area of Lake Almanor, CA. Enjoy everything Lake Almanor has to offer which includes boating, fishing, kayaking, biking, motorcycle riding or hiking. We are also short drive to Lassen Volcanic National Park too.
This cute little casita is equipped with a queen bed, linens and all the essentials you will need for a nice get away. It will sleep 1-2 adults comfortably. The casita is close to fishing, kayaking, hiking, restaurants, bike trails or if you prefer just relax, barbecue and revel in the surroundings. It sits across the street from the lake giving you wonderful views the osprey flying about, the lake and the mountains from the deck.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Renee & Tyler's casita. As others have said, it is small, but very clean and well appointed. We loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings, drinking our coffee and looking out over the lake. It was quiet, peaceful, and we would definitely stay there again.

    Ann2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • It is a small space but everything you need is right there. And if there is anything you do need extra, Renee and Tyler will do everything they can to accommodate your needs.

    Joan2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a golden nugget of a place situated on a hill looking down at the lake. You can enjoy morning and evening meals on the deck watching Mr. and Mrs. Osprey hunting for their chicks. The casita is situated perfectly to watch the sunlight playing on the lake when the afternoon breeze kicks up. It is tiny and clean with sink, small fridge and microwave, and tiny adequate bathroom while cooking happens on the deck's grill. Wonderful getaway and great possibilities for exploring Lassen or enjoying the lake. Enjoy this gem!

    Noelani2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for your hospitality, Renee and Tyler! Tyler promptly came to the rescue when the plumbing misbehaved - much appreciated. Breakfast on the porch and stargazing in the yard were highlights!

    Helsa2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The little casita was beautifully decorated and organized upon arrival and packed with everything we needed! The outdoor space was our favorite part, it made the place feel more spacious and was a peaceful place to relax in the evenings. Renee responded super fast about arrival and checkout. Though she left us to do our own thing, but I think she could be really helpful for guests with more questions about the place and the area! The attention to detail was evident, they even left coffee, tea, and granola bars for us :) Highly recommend!

    Jadyn2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The CASITA has a fabulous view and cool breeze from lake Almanor. Early check in time and many amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable. Great location with lots of local activities.

    Kathy2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cabin. The property is located in a superb spot with phenomenal views and few neighbors. The drive to Mt Lassen is pretty short and makes for the perfect spot to stay. The cabin is super clean and you can tell attention to detail was paid in every regard. We will be back!

    Todd2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Renee & Tyler provide many amenities in this tiny home away from home. They came to welcome us and show us around the casita and deck and gave us great tips about restaurants, etc.

    Paola2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's home exceeded expectations! It' such a beautiful area and a perfect cozy home. We stopped in on a road trip between Death Valley and our house in Oregon-- if we would have known what an awesome area it was and what a wonderful home we would be staying at-- we would have planned a longer stay! The luxurious soak in the claw-foot tub was a definite highlight and we loved all of the country/vintage style decor that made it clear that it was such a loved space. We plan to return over the summer to enjoy the area and the space more thoroughly!

This is a 570 sq ft building with BR, BA and living room. The inside was rebuilt in 2018. Outside siding is vinyl and will be replaced in 2020. It is located in Indian Valley which is beautiful. Lots of deer, turkey, and bear. We rent only when we are in the main house or when our caretakers are there. The kitchen has a coffee and tea maker, refrigerator, hot plate, electric skillet and microwave. We added a new cabinet with sink. When we are there we can arrange to provide breakfast.
There are a few projects still to finish on the outside but the inside is finished. Heating is electric heaters. Portable AC but summer nights are in the 60s.
We are 12 miles from Lake Almanor, 5 miles from Round Valley reservoir. We can guide for birdwatching or tell you where to go. Bicycling is very popular around the valley.

  • I stayed for one night with my father and sister after a day of hiking in Lassen Volcanic National Park. We checked in late, so we called Mark and the other hosts ahead of time, and there was no issue. The place was quite spacious. I slept on the sofa bed, and it was decently comfortable. I'd recommend this place for a short stay for exploring the area.

  • Good place for what you pay! Host is nice and ready to come at any time to help with anything. He gave us firewood for free, which was pretty nice of him. We stayed one day there and we found all the kitchen essentials that you would want to have there (salt, oil skillet etc), also there were clean towels and single use shampoo and gel. There were 3 chairs that we used to sit outside by fireplace (for which firewood was provided by host). FAU/Heater was working great. It's not luxury place in any means, but it's good for what you are paying 👍!

  • The one bedroom log cabin was so comfortable! It is a sweet little cabin with a nice front porch that just draws you in. Bright and clean inside with a comfy recliner and couch along with a nice bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and had such soft sheets that we just wanted to sleep in! We were there during the Paul Bunyan Blues Festival which is a nice small town event celebrating Westwood's logging history. Enjoyable parade, arts and crafts booths, food, beverages, logging competitions, live music and several inflatable blow up slides and "jumperoos" for the kids. Thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations!

The cabin is tucked away in a beautiful forest by the cascading rivers. Not to mention you can still hear the trains passing through. How cool is that!! The cabin was really inviting and cozy. There were plenty of fresh towels, pillows, clean linens, and even small toiletries in case you left your shampoo and lotion at home. The shower is a bit small, but awesome cause the hot water runs fantastic !!! (I wasn’t sure if it would only because the cabin is older but pleasantly surprised) The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pots, cups, utensils, a coffee maker, microwave, stove, fridge, freezer and bbq grill outside with all of the bbq supplies. Highly recommend you bring some steaks, casseroles, veggies to grill and burgers. It’s nice to cook your meals while you stay. The outdoor bbq area is private to the cabin so you can enjoy your own conversations and cook at your own pace. The 360 views were amazing. You can’t beat the hike at Cascade Trails. It’s a pretty easy 3 mile hike (6 miles in total) I suggest to take a light backpack with water and some snacks. It’s very well kept so it’s good for beginners and kids and even pets. There is no WIFI or TV, but that’s why I chose to stay here. It’s nice to deplug from everything. If you must I suggest to download episodes of your shows and watch it that way. Otherwise hop into town and visit the Quintopia Brewery. Such a gem on the main strip of town. They serve great seasonal drinks, you can order a beer flight or grab a bite to eat. Charley and the owners of the property are soooo nice and I would highly recommend everyone visit this small, cute town of Paxton and the Paxton Lodge. So much history and charm. Loved this much needed relaxing trip.

  • The Todd was wonderful. A nice roomy cabin with a full kitchen and bath. A nice quiet location in a beautiful location. Just a short walk to the river. Charley was a great host. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Charley was a wonderful host. We had a great time at the cabin and exploring the surrounding areas - Lake Almanor and Buck's Lake. Very dog-friendly and cozy.

  • Our stay was just amazing!! The cabin was warm and cozy. We enjoyed playing outside, hanging out at the beach, stargazing and talking with Charley and the Lodge family. They were so welcoming and we had a great time with them. Our two teenagers who were not very excited about "No TV, No Wi-Fi vacation" before the trip are now saying they want to come back to Paxton Lodge again! Wonderful trip to start the new year!

    Ryoko2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Charley was super accommodating and the cabin was very clean!! His dog, Baby greeted us and was so sweet! The location was so beautiful and secluded. The train was not at all too loud and we were excited to hear it pass. We will definitely be back! A great value and a lovely stay!

  • This is a small, but beautiful cabin with amazing views of the lake. Our family had a great vacation and would be happy to return to this location. Although it is a lakefront cabin, you can not access the lake directly from the cabin. You have to walk a few cabins over and down several stairs to get to the dock and space that is shared by the little village that this cabin is part of. We were fortunate that the lake levels had dropped a little so there was some space for us to set up chairs and such, but I overheard others saying that the lake levels are sometimes so high that you have no space other than the dock. Having 2 bathrooms in such a small space was a plus; however, you’ll need to strategize showers/baths during your stay. Unfortunately, the hot water heater is not big enough to accommodate more than 2 showers/baths at a time; especially if you’re needing to wash dishes around those times as well. While these things were not dealbreakers for us, I thought they were things that would’ve been helpful to know prior to arriving for planning purposes. Frederika is a wonderful host and responded immediately to all questions we had prior to and during our vacation. I am certain you will enjoy your stay at her place!

Cozy 2 bd/ 1 bath cabin on lakefront lot. This home has been fully renovated with new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and dual shower heads in the bathroom! There is also a loft with two additional beds.
Recently renovated, this adorable 2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom home is a revived fishing cabin that was originally built in the 1960's. Complete with stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, a dual head shower in the bathroom, and a high wood beam ceiling in the living room, this home blends rustic charm with modern amenities! There is also a bonus loft space that might just be perfect for a game of hide and seek. There are two beds in the loft. Please note that the loft has a very low ceiling and is accessible via ladder. Take a walk down to your private beach and cast out a line from the dock! The home is located right next door to Carol's cafe which is great for a tasty meal and even a drink or two. Prattville is also well known for biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails, all of which are located nearby!
  • Great location! Great communication! We will definitely come back again!

You must provide your own bedding, camping gear, & food. Campsite amenities; designated fire pit, BBQ, outdoor latrine, & running water. A short third mile walk to the Eagle Lake shore. • One Saturday morning my wife and I decided it was time to go camping, thanks to Steve we successfully completed our first Northern California camping trip. It was so much better than reserving a campsite at the nearby campgrounds, because you have a much higher level of privacy than the standard campground. Steve has a tent setup, but we opted to use our own. Not because it wasn’t a good tent, but because we had just purchased a new one and wanted to test it out. The drive on Eagle Lake Rd. into the campsite was beautiful, but before you arrive go check out Lassen Ale Works at the Boardroom to grab a pizza and fill your growler for the night! Upon arrival Steve gave us a lay of the land and showed us where everything was, we also met Dream, his friendly doggo. We setup camp and then took a short walk to the lake, it’s only about a 15 min. walk from the campsite, maybe longer if you’re a slow walker. The rest of the evening was quiet and consisted of sitting by the campfire and drinking that growler I mentioned. We will definitely be back to Steve’s spot and highly recommend it to others!

    Daniel2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The campsite is near so many lakes and hiking spots. Steve was a friendly, sweet, thoughtful and amazing host. Couldn’t think of a better way to spend our 4th of July weekend.

    Michelle2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great place to stay outdoor , we loved the private camping feel. Steve accepted our last minute booking request and also had put up the tent for us before we reached, provided us firewood and battery lights too. It was very nice calm place to camp without much preparation. He has a dog named "dream" , such a sweet dog :) We definitely would recommend his place.

    Sukrutha2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful trip to our land of paradise. Steve’s place is perfect.

    Eleza2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to camp out for a few days. Nothing fancy but Steve had a propane stove, lantern and the fire ring all ready to go when we arrived. He was also very understanding to our late arrival time.

    Brandon2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was a terrific host. Great communication before arrival. Everything was ready and just as advertised. A great retreat to the outdoors without typical campground distractions. Thanks Steve!

    Richard2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • 2nd year coming back to stay at Steve's private campground. Couldn't be more pleased with our little slice of heaven. It is simple and beautiful with just a short walk to the Lake. We plan to come back again soon.

  • Charlie and Baby were waiting to greet us. Great getaway from the city. We loved our stay at the cabin ll, very cozy and Charlie is an excellent host, very nice and friendly. We like the simplicity, the silence and the nature, our walks to the river and train tracks. No WiFi and no TV makes it a perfect time to relax, read a book, and have quality time. Nice and quiet nights. You will have a pit and propane bbq, complementary earplugs (we did not need it). We will definitely be coming back!!

    Laura2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is clean, cozy, and a great price for the location.

    Kelsey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute cabin as described. Check in was very easy and Charley was there to host us. Comfortable bed, clean living space and nice bathroom. We are used to cooking outside so not having a kitchen was OK. Be sure to bring all your own cooking equipment, pots, pans bowls etc. The cabin is on the grounds of the Paxton Lodge there’s lots to do in the area and is a short trip to Quincy.

    Kelli2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed this beautiful cabin! It’s a must stay. We are from Alaska so we love remote places like these with peace and quite and a river. The doggo really enjoyed the river walk.

  • Lovely host in great place.

    Milena2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • David's place is extremely COZY and SPACIOUS, it was the perfect place to stay to visit LASSEN national park. A good piece of information: if you are visiting Lassen, the MAIN PARK area is less than 45 min away from this place, and the CINDER CONE trail (which is one of the prettiest parts of the park) is about an hour in the opposite direction, so if you want to see all the HIGHLIGHTS, this location is PERFECT. Also, David is SUCH a cool host!

    Daniela2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • David is a very down to earth person and accommodating. Checking in was very easy and I could come and go without any issues. His place is a short distance from Susanville and Lassen National Forest. David is passionate about the area and shared many tips. His place has many local travel guides and books for visitors. Parking is easy and the surrounding area is beautiful. Thanks David!

  • Ross' condo made our first visit to this area magical. It is right on the lake, and across from boat rentals, markets and restaurants. We rented ski boats and had a blast tubing and wake boarding. My husband learned how to fish here, and caught a fish on the stand-up paddle board as the moon was rising! We made friends with the family staying next door and shared champagne on the boat dock as the kids tried their luck fishing off the dock. Thank you Ross for sharing your gem of a place - we left our hearts at Lake Almanor!

    Wendy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Location is absolutely perfect! The view is priceless- we didn’t spend much time in condo as we were outside most of the time- but it has everything you need- if I had to suggest something it would be that the kitchen appliances could benefit an upgrade but seriously- the location is prime. The neighbors are so kind too! We will absolutely be returning!

  • Nice place in Westwood. The kitchen was nice and there are plenty of cooking pots and pans. There is also a cutting board. The sink does not have a garbage disposal. The stove top gets a bit hot as it is a pilot lit stove. The bed was comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the bedroom cabinets. All in all I enjoyed my stay. There are active train tracks close by and I wouldn't have minded them so much if I didnt have to wake up super early.

The Osprey is a fully-furnished 2 Bedroom cabin on Eagle Lake, the second largest natural lake in CA. This beautiful, cozy cabin has vaulted ceilings and an open deck. Features queen bed, 2 twin beds in the loft (that has low ceilings, so primarily just for sleeping) and double sleeper bed couch in the living room area. Full size bath with shower over tub. Beautiful views of the lake from dining area and living area bay windows. Note: If you're planning on sleeping 6 you will be VERY cozy.
There is a 5000' runway nearby that allows for convenient fly-in access to our location from virtually anywhere.

  • We stayed at Frankie's Pelican house. It's location on Eagle Lake is amazing and the place is clean and decorated nicely. Frankie is a great host and provided us with things we had left at home. He was easy to communicate with and we enjoyed the stay.

    Colleen2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Frankie was by far the friendliest host we've ever met! He was really responsive (usually within 15 minutes) and extremely helpful with travel tips and local hikes. The Osprey cabin/tiny house was perfect for my boyfriend and me and our dog. Plenty of room for kids in the loft area too. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking your own meals. We were worried about the weather being too hot but there are tons of large trees for shade and the breeze cooled the cabin down to the perfect temperature at night. The location of the park is perfect for a city getaway and we'll definitely be back!
