THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD. No, not quite, but nicely away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our holiday property (house with 2 apartments with separate entrances) is located on the outskirts of Benneckenstein, directly on the Rappbode. 4500 sqm of land also invite you to campfire, camping and in winter to toboggan on your own toboggan slope. The house is only a vacation property. So it has no permanent tenants. Since dogs are allowed in both apartments, we ask you to be considerate of each other.

Haus Katharina is a rustic log cabin in an exposed, unique location directly on the ski meadow in/on the nature reserve. The property is 1100 m². The location is perfect - apart from the ski and toboggan run, the Wurmberg cable car (250 m) and the town center with cafes and restaurants (100 m) are also easily accessible. 3-room apartment (125 square meters) with fireplace and two bedrooms on 2 levels (duplex) + balcony. Downstairs is the living room with TV/couch corner, dining area with pull-out table. There is a fully equipped kitchen + dining area. Here is the bedroom with double bed (180 × 200 cm), wardrobe, dressers, etc. and full bathroom. Upstairs there is an open bedroom with 2 single beds and large wardrobe as well as a toilet/sink. A sofa bed (145 × 185) and 1 mobile guest bed are available.

Our apartment is located in Hohegeiß, a district of Braunlage. Hohegeiß is centrally located in the Harz Mountains at 640 meters above sea level. It is a place of relaxation for vacationers seeking peace and quiet. In summer, it is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In winter, ski resorts are available in the village and nearby. There are excursion possibilities, for example, to Goslar, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. The guest fee of €3.00/night for adults is charged in cash on site.

A toilet and shower (of course with warm water!) are available in the sanitary area on the property. A sauna with a wood-burning stove and panoramic views of the river is also available to all guests. There are many hiking trails and interesting sights to visit nearby.
