Very good stay, the apartment is large and comfortable. The location is ideal, close to the hanging gardens and close to restaurants. Free parking is located close by. Patricia left us Documentation Area, which enabled us to discover this beautiful region.

Apartment very average. Lack of a real bathroom: the presence of a small shower in the toilet, but only to sink: the kitchen sink for the kitchen: a cabinet which should not open the doors on pain of seeing collapse, on which is placed a hob. Cleaning done before we arrived: sticky and dirty water, hair on the stairs and the room, bedding questionable, spider webs and dust ... The positives: quiet, parking 20m, price.

My family and I stayed only one night in the lovely house of Isabelle and her husband, to be close to the airport (only a 30 minutes drive). The apartment is located in a very beautiful town with a stunning view from the bedroom. We traveled with our two young children and Isabelle provided toys for them to play with and made it very comfortable. We really enjoyed our short stay and hope to see Isabelle and her husband again in the future.

Our hosts were very kind with us from our arrival: By helping us with the installation, giving us indication of the city, places to be and even dinner :) The appartement is located in a very charming down town with a beautiful view to the city from the balcony. From their appartement we have acces to the restaurants, bakery and romantic views You will really have a good time with Isabelle and François, I recommended it!!

We were impressed! The house has been recently renovated and looks wonderful. All the furnishings are brand new including those in kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrooms. Bernard was a terrific host. He communicated quickly when we had questions before our arrival and he was available to assist us during our stay. He speaks good English, but was also willing to speak French when I wanted to practice. The town is charming and beautiful. We had a great stay.

I spent one night at Sarah's house. Sarah made me feel very welcome! Before my flight arrived Charleroi airport, she even suggested that she could pick me up by car if I can´t find bus stop. After I arrived her house, she prepared me a large bottle of natural water for free in advance. Sarah was very kind and helpful, the place is very clean and cozy, and the bed is super size. Besides, her house is very near the Charleroi Sud train station, just around ten minutes on foot. I totally recommend staying at Sarah´s place. :)

Sarah and her husband has been of great help for my stay! I got two early flights in a row and stayed the night in Sarah's place. Spending the precious night at the airport exhausted me for which I almost slept through my stay lmao. They kindly offered early checked in and water and snacks when I got there. They also respect your privacy and peace very much. Hope to stay again and have the energy to have some chats with them xx

If you need to spend a night between flights which was my case this is the best decision. The place is located 15 minutes from the train station (easy connection to/from Charleroi airport). At first I mistakingly rushed into their neighbor's house (next building) and he didn't even know to the left or to the right the house was! Then I found Sarah's place. As it was dark and I had no internet connection I sent sms saying I'm here and a couple of minutes later Sarah met me. It was late, I was sleepy, so we didn't communicate much; Sarah provided me with a generous bottle of water and juice seeing that I was thirsty. I was provided a towel, too. The room is much larger than it looks in the photo! Enough space, big bed. Simple but clean sheets, pillowcases, I just would expect a blanket case for the blanket as well, missed it. Good ratio price/comfort/privacy.

Sara is a wonderful host! She was very helpfull and kind - I was feeling truly at home at her place. The room itself is a lot bigger that it looks on photos. Sara's husband is an artist and there are wonderful paintings in the hall. They both were friendly and we had a nice talk - Sara knows english pretty good. Overall - my stay couldn't be better!

Stayed for two nights. Sarah was quite nice and always checked if i needed anything. Wifi was good and the place was clean, it was also quite close to Charleroi Sud station.

Gite great at any point of view, we were very well received and everything went very well. Quiet and pleasant.

You stay in the ground floor of the house of the tenants. So you are not staying separately. The hostess is very friendly and open and cordial. Highly recommended, it is also on the forest for hiking. For the rest you need a car. Deeper into the Ardennes the beautiful. Everything was fine, maybe the room was a bit uncomfortable for my personal liking.

Quelle belle chambre et sdb et quelle belle rencontre avec Anne et son crapaud charmant.. ;-) Charmants en effet, ils le sont tous les deux. Nous avions indiqué notre souhait de se lever tard le dimanche et de pouvoir bruncher. Ce fut un repas de fête pour un tout petit supplément. Le jardin donne sur un cours d'eau. A donner envie d'y revenir simplement pour aussi profiter du cadre. A recommander sans moderation...

Petite suite idéale et très confortable pour notre escale d'une journée. Le temps ne nous a pas permis de profiter du très grand jardin en bord de rivière ni d'une excursion tant espérée dans la réserve naturelle. Le calme olympien pour nous ressourcer et le petit-déjeuner sur mesure qu'Anne nous a préparé nous ont vite fait oublié la météo. Notre fils a quant à lui été ravi de trouver un flipper qui est vite devenu son nouveau centre d'intérêt. Anne et Jean Louis sont charmants et nous ont même trouvé et réservé un restaurant conforme à nos attentes malgré un séjour programmé juste 24h à l'avance.

Perfecte locatie voor fietstochten langs de RAVEL-paden (langs de Sambre naar Charleroi en naar Frankrijk en ook naar Binche, Thuin, Chimay etc.) en vooral voor wie van stilte houdt. Het interieur van de kamer en de badkamer is prachtig, bijzonder ruim en brandschoon. Met mooi weer kun je op het terras eten met uitzicht op de Sambre, of in de grote tuin, direct aan de Sambre. De eigenaren zijn bijzonder sympathiek en zeer hulpvaardig, zodat het de gasten aan niets ontbreekt. Een aanrader!

Nous sommes venus à 2 couples dans cette très jolie maison d'hôtes pour un séjour de 2 nuits. Séjour absolument parfait : petit village très calme à proximité de la frontière française, des hôtes très gentils et très disponibles malgré notre arrivée tardive du vendredi soir, une chambre parfaitement aménagée, fonctionnelle, très propre. Salle de bain très jolie et literie très confortable. Nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner très copieux avec que des produits faits maison un pur délice. Produits de première nécessité à disposition ainsi qu'un plateau pour des boissons chaudes, gâteaux, bouteilles d'eau bonbons... On nous a même offert des bières !! La maison des hôtes est elle-même superbe, poutres apparentes, hauts plafonds.. bref tip top assurément si nous repassons par là nous reviendrons, merci pour tout !!

I only had one night at Mirka & Karim. The room was simple but there was everything, and I slept well. But I was surprised especially by their welcome and hospitality! They were very nice and friendly, they offered me what was in the kitchen and we also spent time together. I totally felt at home ... I highly recommend to all!

none of silence talking about. Noise from the fast road, noise from the crossing to 5 am the night anyway by: the inhabitants of the second room substantial breakfast. The best thing about the room: 15 minutes on foot to the south station. strange hosts: wanted to give no key, did not know where the nearest restaurant was, she did not know the direction of the center.

It was my first Airbnb experience and it was very good. When I and my friends arrived, Mirka was not at home but her husband was there, so I can only judge him. He is a very sociable and hospitable man. He Showed us Charleroi, gave us food. The flat was clean and quite good located. I can reccomend this host honestly!

I chose this AirBnB because of all the wonderful reviews. However, as a solo female traveler, I would be cautious to stay here. As Mirka was not there, I was alone with Karim and we were basically unable to communicate at all, as I don't speak French and him no English. Except, apparently through our miscommunications, he thought it was okay to make a pass at me. While nothing further happened, it led me to feel very uncomfortable and took away from all the other wonderful things he did as a host, such as cook me food and drive me around.

My stay was very comfortable and Karim was very welcoming! He made my brief visit very easy. Thank you!

I stayed just for one night, in order to take an early flight from the Charleroi airport. The apartment is very clean and well-maintained, and Karim was very helpful and even took me to the airport at 5 AM in the morning!

The place is ideal for anyone wanting a bed for the night and that's is all this apartment is suitable for, the owner lives in and is available on call, There is a bit of noise from people using the lift and the fridge inside the room but if you are not bothered about noise then this will not be an issue. There are complimentary drinks on arrival which was nice . No access to kitchen to prepare any meals all you have access to is your room which by the way cannot be locked. The owner lock the rest of the apparentement when not in even the kitchen. Overall the price is right for what you get.

Claude has been an amazing host! His flat is really close to the station and public transports to the airport, and it is located in the main street of the city center. The room is big, clean, and even equiped with a minifridge with some drinks. I spent a nice week there, feeling almost like home. His cats are adorable, I'll be missing them. Thanks Claude!

Charleroi is not bruxelles, but if you are interested in lost places, this is the european capital! Francois-Xavier´s flat was the perfect "base-camp" for our urban-exploration-tour! Absolutely clean, awesome shower, beds and coffe-machine! And a really nice view over a really interesting city! We´ll come back!

I needed somewhere close to the airport for a night before travelling on the following morning. This apartment fit the bill completely but we could easily have stayed longer. The place was spotless and beautifully decorated and the host was an absolute gent, going out of his way to take us somewhere to get our evening meal.

We spent a very good night in Charleroi. Francis Xavier made us welcome, the apartment is easily accessible, near the center and very well equipped.

Clean and very confortable, stylish flat with new furnitures, delicious coffe. Francois was very kind and helpful. He even took us to the railway station by car after we left the flat.

Decent enough place and value for money in this area. The arrangement of the house is bit unorthodox and there is too much of space. Overall good experience. Again depends upon why you are visiting Charleroi. Laurent has been really helpful

The house is close enough to the center, well heated and insulated ... The house cleaning is unsatisfactory. Laurent has proved however quite helpful ... All in all I would say enough for a small room.

The apartment is large, it has some modern amenities but the building is very old and not decorated. The heating works well downstairs and good value for having the place to yourself. Central location and good communication with host. Not very homely and the toilet is very strangely located. The pictures are misleading with how the rooms look overall. But the place is much larger than I expected and functional.
