Yoko is such a lovely, flexible and caring host who is quick at replying and provides detailed instructions about getting around and to nearby places. He made us feel very welcome and even invited us to a local basketball game! Great value for money!

One room of the share house was used as a bedroom. Because it was a clean and calm space, I was able to spend very comfortably. The host, Yoko, was very quick and polite, and helped. I want to use it again!

must say it's an amazing time with YoKo and the sharehouse.for the house, located nearby the jr Urasa station, about 5 mins by walk, easy to get anywhere u want, it's also have a temple nearby, which enjoy a long history and will show u the traditional culture of Japan. on the other hand, the house is quite and cosy, I met the students living in it, all of them are friendly and have the passion to communicate, about the house, life, study, and anything else. YoKo is always ready to answer u any questions, totally nice. Peaceful, quiet, one-of-a-kind stay experience! The Temple was a truly unique stay unlike any other I’ve had. Nestled in the quite countryside of Urasa, Japan sits this gem of a property with unbelievable mountain vistas in-front, gurgling steams all around, and a lovely mountain backdrop behind. It’s an easy walk from the JR Urasa Station and only ~ 90 mins from Tokyo via a direct-route Shinkansen train. Surrounded by rice paddies, mountains, and awe-inspiring nature this is a true treat for the senses. The Temple had everything I required for a great visit, auxiliary heating, comfortable bedding, clean, spacious, and plenty of utensils for dining-in if that’s what you prefer. The shower is terrific, interior decor is simply beautiful, bikes are provided for use at no-charge, and there are countless little special things that set this place apart from just another typical rental. The gracious owner has hospitality in his blood and went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay while introducing me to daily life in rural Japan. Great experience, awesome place, and outstanding hospitality - The Temple nails all three in a very special way that will keep you smiling about it long after your stay completes.

The room was wide and stretched. On the first day there was an accident where the heating equipment was broken, but we immediately brought an alternative machine and could stay warm even in the middle of winter. The host was very easy to talk to and had a good personality. I still want to use it. Thank you very much.

I was able to have a very interesting experience with the interior as expected. In addition to being warmer than I expected, I was able to spend comfortably in January, and there were amenities to reach itchy places such as towels and hairdryers, so I could enjoy it without worry.

We stayed for three nights with four families with children. On the first day we arrived and the children were excited about the temple, and when we entered the kotatsu, we were too comfortable to go out and did not eat out. Electric pots, tableware, cooking utensils such as cutting boards, kitchen knives and peelers, and cutlery were also available, so we could have a simple meal with the food brought in and there was no inconvenience. I didn't feel the cold I was worried about thanks to the stove, air conditioner, electric carpet and kotatsu. This time it was a ski trip, so I couldn't walk around the neighborhood so much that I was a waste. This time I came in summer and wanted to go cycling and trekking.

A very unique temple inn. The inside of the house is warm and does not feel cold at all, and the atmosphere is great. The whole family liked it. Absolutely recommended. Highly recommend this beautiful historic temple house.

I had a very nice & relaxing stay at Sakura House. The place is clean, spacious and very close to the train station. The kotatsu was my favourite place as it made the experience even more pleasant. The host was very kind and prompt when it comes to exchanging messages.

Near the station, the parking lot was also very convenient in front of me. The room was clean and comfortable to use. In a car, there is Akashi-no-yu in about 2 minutes, and there is a millennium in about 10 minutes. Millennial hot water is nice personally.

It was a great homestay experience. The host's sister-in-law has a very good attitude and can communicate in Japanese and English. The location is convenient and the surrounding facilities are complete. Self-driving tours are highly recommended. The host runs a restaurant next to the listing, which tastes great, is cheap, and recommends!

Before sunset, I arrived at a time when the road was still clearly visible, so I got no sign of anxiety when driving a car! Bright Misko and Amu, my dog, welcomed me. Because I was from Niigata, I was able to listen to Niigata's story in detail so I enjoyed myself very much! I definitely want to go to Niigata again!

Great experience in the paddy field. Very chilled owner with careness and warmness, she is a good connecting point of local farmer association so its a good choice to source local products from her!

Yoshiko provided excellent services and informative. her place is very nice and traditional japanese style. Great breakfast provided every morning, especially the raw egg is sooooooo yum can’t wait to go back and stay at her place again.

Yoshi is such a wonderful host and so is her wonderful house 交流馆. She greeted us at the train station and drove us to the house. And the house itself is a vivid image of Japanese traditional lifestyle. We woke up to the sounds of crickets and winds of the fields, and the house is walking distance to Tokamachi station. Yoshi gave us great travel advice and provided us with every support we need. Her two daughters are specially lovely and they hang out with my two boys. We would love to come back and recommend Yoshi's place to every friend!

Yoshiko is indeed a super-host. She is very welcoming and interested in making one's stay in Tokamachi an unforgettable one. She picked me up at the train station and we first went to the tourist information desk to get some pamphlets on the various art locations, as this was my main reason for visiting the area. Yoshiko gave me some wonderful tips on what might be especially neat places to visit (in but also outside of Tokamachi). The rooms (bedroom, dining room, lavatory, etc.) were all very clean. One highlight of the day was always the delicious breakfast, which was all vegetarian in my case. Beautiful rice fields are right across the street; a nice view I enjoyed much. I first wasn't sure, though, if I would be able to sleep with all the frogs starting to make noise in the evening. But I ended up sleeping very well (also because the bed was very comfortable). I also very much enjoyed the brief chats in the morning and the evening with Yoshiko and her two daughters. I think the Tokamachi area is worthwhile visiting again, and I would definitely choose to stay at Yoshiko's place again.

It was very easy and comfortable. I went to see the snow fireworks and the winter exhibition of the art festival, but it is close to Tokamachi station, and restaurants are near the station, so I think that there is a particular problem. I thought that the owner's personality was good. Correspondence was quickly answered quickly also I was wondering a little bit and I was really saved. Breakfast was also very delicious.

this is a very lovely traditional Japanese house with modern setting. very quiet and clean room. 5 minutes walk from train station. there are some resturants arround. The host is a very warm young woman. She helps us a lot on everything, inclyding pick us up from the JR train station. It made us a vety good experience here.

Yoshiko's place is wonderful! We arrived Tokamachi before the check-in time and Yoshiko offered to pick us up so that we could leave our luggage at the house. The bedroom and shower were super clean. The breakfast was superb! The raw egg on top of rice and other breakfast set was the highlight! We also had to leave quickly for our train to the next destination. Yoshiko offered to drive us to the train station so that we didn't miss our train. I would recommend Yoshiko's place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay when in Tokamachi.

The best airbnb experience so far! Although the house is a little far from the transportation center, the landlord can provide pick-up service, free breakfast service and kimono try-on service! When the old grandfather was young, he was a painter who used to teach thousands of nights. The grandmother of the university would travel with him in four languages to communicate in four languages! The home is full of collectibles from all over the world. In short, it is worthwhile to visit someone who wants to experience Japanese life in depth, and you will definitely get unexpected gains.

Yuriko and her husband are very kind,enthusiastic, meticulous and energetic.I am very happy to meet them and communicate with them.I haven't left Japan yet, but I miss them already. Their house is very tasteful and interesting.Of course, it's very comfortable to live in. In a word,Fuji rock festival is great，The Cure band is great,but Yuriko and her husband are even better.

Yuriko is probably the best Airbnb host I've had to date. Aside from a comfy room in a typical Japanese farm field, Yuriko and her husband were so kind and helpful! She made our time in Japen a great one, we'll definitely come back again. Both me and my friend already miss them. Highly recommend staying here.

Very kind owners and couple

It was a friendly owner who was easy to communicate with! The local information is also abundant and I participated in a local drinking party! I remodeled a private house and converted it into a private inn, so I would like to recommend it to those who like a classic house!

It was an old private house with a traditional thatched roof in the mountains. It was a hot day because of the high ceiling and good ventilation, but it was comfortable without a cooler. The host is also friendly and very friendly. I think this is a very good place for those who like mountains and nature.

It was a good trip. MISAKO was really kind. The hostel was far from the station, but it was special and the atmosphere was good. I would like to go to the next opportunity too.

Akira’s place is wonderful! The location is awesome, close to downtown Tokamachi, and multiple ski areas. If you’re on a ski trip I can’t recommend this place more, it’s less than an hour from several ski areas! Akira is a great host, offering to make breakfast every morning as well as being more than willing to take you out in Tokamachi to cool local bars and restaurants! The room is so comfortable and warm, the bed is nice and the space is ample. I have stayed at Akira’s place two years in a row on my snowboarding trips and would continue to return! I recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed for one night on the way from Tokyo to Koshirakura. There were several restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity of the house, making it a very convenient area. Finally, we were able to pick up the car on the way to and from the way home, which was very helpful! If you come to Tokamachi again, I would like to use it! Akira is really kind and friendly person.The house is located in 10 mins away from Tokamachi station by car, but he drove us everytime.It is easily accessible to restaurants and supermarkets from the house.I strongly recommend for a short stay people.

The guests were able to enjoy themselves only with us (the accommodation seems to be one pair unless it is irregular). I was very grateful to have a simple breakfast prepared unexpectedly. Room to eat breakfast was wonderful like inn. The contact with the local people is impressive and I have visited Tokamachi several times, but it is not unusual and Akira is also a very pleasant person. By all means when you visit Tokamachi! It is recommended.

We checked in and the host's wife was there to great us. She showed us our room and helped us get settled in. The beds were very cozy. There was a double bed and two futons in our nicely sized tatami room. It was nice to experience a little of traditional Japanese culture. We even had a nice snack in the morning. As for things to do, there's a sushi restaurant right outside of the house. Also, there's the Kiyotsu Gorge about 30 minutes by car. It's a nice little town, and I would love to visit again.

Akira’s place is great! Very comfortable and in a great location. Plus his tour of Tokamachi was really fun and a great way to experience the city! I would absolutely stay again!

It is true that it is old, but there is only former hotel and facilities are enriched. It was great to have a very warm hospitality from start to finish. I will visit again.

It was clean and spacious like a hotel and it was very comfortable. In addition, we were greeted very warmly even though check-in was later than scheduled. Thanks to the kindness of Sugimoto-san, the trip has become very fulfilling. Also, there was a place like an observatory called "House of Stars" nearby, so it was nice to see a lot of stars.

The landlord looked at us a lot and gave a room for free, thank you very much. The house near the ski resort is good value for money. Looking at the whole picture of Minamiumauma City from the house, I feel very good and the scenery is very good.

I was the only one in the guesthouse so the owner took me to a ramen restaurant where we ate together. He also showed me a good road to cycle on to my next destenation

Fun out of the mainstream place for peace and quiet. Well suited for travelers on a budget. It's a little inconvenient if you can't drive but Tomoyasu is always willing to drive you places. Well worth the price.

It was COSPA the best! Because there is a ski resort just next door, it is very convenient! Three family members went by, but it is a very reasonable place.

LAGUMA Place is the best AIRBNB for my family !!! Lloyd is the best host. FAST response, KINDNESS and he's a coolest guy in NIIGATA !!! This house very close to SKI place. Just walk from house and then SKI (5 seconds from house !!!) and Lloyd allowed us to use his SKI Equipment. Recommend for family and everybody who love snow and ski For Thai people who come to Usa But just stopped by Gala Usa Please try to change your mind. Come and stay at LAGUMA PLACE. You won't have to waste time on long queues like gala. Because there are only Japanese people playing When we go, only our family is Thai !! There is no one who speaks fluent English except Lloyd, but everyone has a heart Trying to help us to ski and our niece has played the sliding tray until Say it is worth it !!!!

Lloyd's apartment is big, clean and warm. Also everything you need is ready. It's very close to the ski facility, even you can ski to your room:) We had a wonderful staying in the apartment. Highly recommend! Shu

First up, Lloyd and his wife are awesome hosts. Lloyd showed us the ropes when we checked in and made sure we were ok during our stay. The place itself is huge (by Japanese standards) so if you have a large group this is certainly a place to consider. The location is great too, though I suggest if you’re here for skiing (there’s some awesome resorts in the area and they haven’t been taken over by tourists yet like Hakuba and the like) you’ll need a car. Laguma place is right at a little ski resort with the lift 100m from the door. It’s a tiny resort but still fun on a good day. And the meals at the restaurant are excellent. An added bonus, if you want to use the awesome Black Cat (TA-Q-BIN) luggage delivery service, there’s a depot 5 minutes down the road. Overall, we can’t recommend this place highly enough. Even my wife who isn’t a fan of the cold and snow loved it. Thanks for hosting us Lloyd!

Being next to the ski resort was a very great experience in being able to easily go ski or snowboard. Definitely recommend to anyone around the area.

From my friend: From September 20th, we used 2 women and 4 dogs with my dog for 3 nights. I think that there is a ski resort nearby and it is a convenient location condition for those who do skiing and snowboarding. There is a 7-Eleven in the place with a car about 10 minutes by car until convenience store. Anyway the owner and the friendly! A I got it very well for the owner. Also be sure to repeat again. I really enjoyed our stay. He gave us fresh He gave me freshly, quiet hotel to stay at with my Shiba Inu, Kiyoshi & friend. The water is really good in this hotel. Some of the rooms included soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, bedding, access to community dining room with TV. Vending machine outside for drinks. Some room had tatami and futons, which was nice. Some other rooms looked like they have beds as well. Location is about 1.5 hours drive to Niigata city, 1.5 hours drive to the bigger coastal fish market & beach.

It is very close to Echigosuhara Station of the Fushimi Line. Staying here at night, it is a good choice to start enjoying the Fushimi Line early in the morning. The listing is a small hotel. The landlord rented it out and lived here. The restaurant kitchen has everything. It's quite warm in winter. It should be noted that this station is completely rural, and there is nothing. After shopping at other convenience stores, come again. There are only 4 trams a day. Thank you landlord for coming out of the station to pick me up, or I will have to wait until nine in the evening.

About 1 hour by car from Nagaoka Station. In a quiet place, the stars are beautiful at night when the weather is nice. It is a place where you can see different seasons depending on the seasons, so it was a place where you would like to come again.

It's some kind of hotel but it seems to be operated by one man these days. I was the only guest there and therefore I got a room with the best view! Sugimoto-san was so friendly and even though he spoke only in Japanese, we could communicate. I enjoyed my stay there.

Mr. Sugimoto was a very friendly and kind person! The inn itself is also in a place surrounded by quiet vineyards a few minutes from the station and I was able to spend a calm night. Room was warm room that was beautiful enough not to be balanced with the price, can see the field. It was a nice addition to Nagaoka fireworks as it allowed for smooth check-in and key delivery. He is such a kind and outgoing owner. We had a fun to talk with him. The house is cozy and more clean room than expected from the price. If you only speak English, you may feel a little bit hard to communicate with. But I'm sure he will do his best for your nice country-area experience. I definitely recommend this place.

The design was strong and the owner was kind, helped me a lot and had a good time. There are arts near the station and in front of the station. I think it ’s a wonderful trip. It ’s a little cold this time… (° ▽ °)

The living room is stylish and the kitchen is large and you can cook yourself! Room was settled down in Japanese-style room and philosophical book was put. The host was kind too! It was a very good accommodation!

Only two groups of guests are accommodated at a time, and the quality of the residence is very good. The kitchen is spacious and tidy, as well as cooking equipment and cutlery. The space on the first floor is diversified, and you can choose where you want to sit. I heard that there is a small restaurant full of plants nearby. If you arrive in the evening, you can go have a dinner. In the direction of the Toki City, the platform of the Tokachi Station "East Exit" is a ride on the platform. The number of trains is small. It is important to note that at the latest 9:00, you can only take a taxi if you miss it, about 2,200 miles.

I can't more highly recommend staying for a few days at Echigo-Suhara with Mr Sugimoto at 'Dream'. There is a sense that the beautiful side of Japan has been swallowed up and left for dead, but both the people and nature around Echigo-Suhara retain this essential beauty. I went in March, so there was still plenty of snow around (though the locals I spoke with were really struck the lack of snow this year). The seasons are sharply defined in Japan, so depending on when you go, you're likely to have quite a different experience. The people are big-hearted and warm. For instance, on one walk I took, a friendly, but very 'genki' old man steered me into a tea shop where I was sat down and treated to tea, coffee, conversation and really good home-grown, home-cooked dishes. The idea of this place is to get retired men out of their houses to chat with other people while selling fresh fruit and veges. Truly a lovely atmosphere. Anyway, check it out.

A very beautiful and spacious house with quite a luxurious equipment. We had a wonderful time here and felt very much at home. Aki is super friendly and very helpful. 5 stars for sure!=)

We stayed with 3 adults and 2 children. It was spacious and easy to use for family use because it was not paired with other guests a day. It was a safe and spacious area with no problem even if energetic children ran around. The scenery is good, there are rice fields in the immediate vicinity and the ears are growing. Chestnuts and oak trees are also nearby. There are many edamame and eggplants in the back field. The breakfast provided by local mothers is the best, the story of harvesting, processing and cooking of ingredients, the story of the season throughout the year, etc. I had breakfast. The building was functionally renovated while maintaining the atmosphere of an old private house, and there were air conditioners and electric fans. It was a wonderful inn where you would like to spend several days in a wasteful environment overnight.

I was able to relax from the beginning as if I was at a grandma's house in the countryside! It was great.

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 families and 8 people during summer vacation. Located in the rice field, you can hear the turbulence of the irrigation canals, and the grasshoppers and frogs are popping. The children seemed to have come to the grandmother's house in the countryside, and the children were excited about "Like Totoro's house!" Although the building is old, the surroundings and beds are new, and the air conditioner is installed. On the first day, we went to Kiyotsu Gorge, and after check-in, we first harvested the vegetables from the field. After that, I bought Tsunan pork, vegetables and rice at Merci Tsuchi and BBQed at the entrance. I was surprised at the deliciousness of Tsunan pork! After the meal, fireworks and watermelon. Adult Matsunoi is also chilled (laughs) On the second day, after going to Kororo and the farm stage, I went back to Merci Tsuchi City in the evening, watched Kiss & Goodbye, ate "Pione" gelato, and made summer vegetable curry with Tsunan pork and field vegetables . On the third day, I asked for a breakfast made by my local mother. Traditional country food that is disappearing in the city and town. This was also a valuable experience. In addition, it was a meaningful summer vacation stage, where you can play and experience unique to the country, such as playing in the river and searching for insects. Because it is a rented house, unlike the hotel, it was nice to spend the children's lives. Akira was also very friendly and played a lot with the children. There are many more places to visit in Tokamachi, so I would like to use it again.

A wonderfuly restored Japanese home set in the middle of rice fields. This is the place to come and experience the slower side of Japan. The place was spacious, comfortable, quiet, clean, and well stocked. The washing machine was a big plus! This place makes for an excellent base for exploring the various Echigo Tsumari art exhibits in the area. Check-in was in-person and flexible to our arrival time. We wish we could have spend more time here.

We arrived at the night of the landlord super nice at the station waiting for us to enter the room and was immediately stunning to the pure Japanese style design is very warm and very good to see every place is very refined

I stayed at Akira's farm house for a couple of nights in mid March with 7 other friends. It was snowing while we were there and it was beautiful and calming. Akira warmly welcomed us to his house upon arrival. The house is big, fairly clean, and gives a very traditional feel. It was nice staying there. There's a kotatsu which was perfect for the cold weather and an irori which I wish we knew how to use! I think this is a nice place to get away from the city. Although I think less people (maybe 6 instead of 8) would have worked better with the space. Akira is a very kind and helpful host. He gave us recommendations for food and also went out of his way to helped a few of my friends make dinner bookings. For those who don't like bugs, there may be some bugs in the house given that it is a farm house. It's not bad in winter - we only saw 3 harmless ones but some of my friends have a huge bug phobia so if you have a phobia too, you may find it difficult. I enjoyed my time there and would recommend the experience to other people. I wish I would have stayed longer and taken it more slowly to enjoy the house during the day. I would recommend to spend at least one full day in the farm house to appreciate it. Thank you again, Akira for your kind hospitality.

Kimura truly deserves to be a super host. Easiest host to communicate with, helpful with practically everything. She went out of her way to transport us to and from the station even if we were a party of 15 with huge luggage. Ishimaru House is very cozy and spacious for large groups. Modern yet authentic overall feel. All rooms had comfortable futons for everyone. Having a kitchen and living space was also a huge plus. We all had an amazing time and will definitely recommend Ishimaru House to others. Thank you so much Kimura for the hospitality you showed us during our stay!

This is a great, clean, nicely-located place. The kitchen is nicely equipped with nice bowls and plates, as well as pots and pans. The kerosene heater in the middle of the house was also a big plus as it warmed us and dried up our gears. Really appreciate all the accomodations available here. The shuttle bus directions were great and very close to the ski places around. It's also within walking diatance to Ishiuchi Ski Resort. In addition, there's a supermarket 5 min walking distance away from the house that provided all the food we need! Furthermore, a restaurant is right next door if you want a quick dinner close-by. The owner also provided the number-one-in-Japan rice that was so delicious! This was definitely a place to come back too!

Kimura-san's place was wonderful. It was clean, had ample space, washing machine + dryer, and was in a great location for accessing the ski resorts in Yuzawa. Being located right behind a yakiniku place was an added bonus!

We stayed at Lloyd’s for three weeks this January. I choose this location because the kids and I wanted to learn to ski/snowboard and do so at a location that was more personal whilst maintaining some Japanese culture. Lloyd’s house and location was exactly what we were after. If you want to be amongst a busy ski resort with all the amenities and tourists than Lloyd’s place isn’t for you, but for us it was perfect. We would casually get up, kit up and walk straight onto the slopes, greeted by friendly local staff. Lunch at the one restaurant, owned and run by Lloyd, on the slopes is affordable and delicious and two lovely gentlemen roast sweet potatoes over hot stones outside, a great treat for the family. Bigger ski resorts close by can offer English speaking lessons and more variety of runs for a day trip here and there, but we loved our holiday base out of the hustle and bustle and using our hire car drive to some of the delicious restaurants close by for dinner. Ski and snow board rental close by is also much cheaper here than at the big resorts, an added bonus. All in all a terrific relaxing family holiday.

We are a bunch of ladies from the tropics who are looking to experience their first real snow. And this is an awesome place at the bottom of a ski resort. The place was more than ample to accomodate my group of 8 people. Lloyd is a great host as he is very responsive with our needs. We have a great time playing with the snow while we were there. The house was fully equipped to fulfill all our needs. High recommend this place if you are looking for a place enjoy plenty of snow. We had an awesome time while we were there. Thanks, Lloyd!

This was the perfect Christmas vacation for our family! The house is only a few minutes by cab or car from Urasa train station. You can also make arrangements for the host to meet you at the train station. It is perfectly located by the slopes of Hakkaisanroku Ski Resort with breathtaking views of the snowy mountains. The kids had a blast playing all day in the snow. The house was clean and comfortable with all amenities needed. The layout of the house is perfect. There are 2 separate toilets, 2 wash sinks outside of the bathroom. It has a laundry room, a spacious kitchen with all the basic stuff for cooking, and a cozy family room. Best of all, we had hi-speed wifi in the house. A large group will have a comfortable stay in this place. Lloyd was an amazing host. He lives nearby and can easily be reached whenever you need him and addresses all your concerns immediately. Many of our friends who saw our photos on social media are raving about the scenery. We highly recommend this place as your next family vacation destination. We will definitely come back!

It's a little higher than the market price, but I think it is well worth it. Various details have been devised so that guests can enjoy it, and Mitsuru himself has been enjoying life here. Personally, BBQ corner, NES, music room, food was good. Thank you very much!

It was really great. During the Nagaoka fireworks, seven university students used it, but after sending fireworks from the inn to the fireworks venue, we were picked up at the station near the inn and picked up. It was. There were five of us, mix of Japanese and foreigners. It was great that the host can speak both languages. We wanted to chill in the country side and it was the perfect place. The athmosphere was super chilling, the house was well prepared, and the host was very very friendly. I definitely recommend you to choose this place!!!

I wanted to feel nature like mountains, seas and rivers, so I went on a trip to Niigata. But the vacation was suddenly caught and I made a hasty reservation here, but I think it was really good to stay at Mitsuru House. It took me a long time to start from Tokyo than I expected and arrived at night. Before I arrived, I could have a barbecue, so I bought meat, food, and so on. In fact, Mitsuru's Koshihikari rice, tonjiru, and wild vegetables were so delicious that the rice left me thinking right now. Also, you lent me all of the second floor, and drinking alcoholic drinks while listening to LPs in Mitsuru's studio was really a pleasant experience. At night, when we went out on the road and saw the night sky, there was a sky-filled star, and we were able to see a lot of shoots. And in the rice fields, the frogs were crying and it was the best environment for drinking. The next morning we could see the mountain still with snow, and we were able to check out while relaxing in the morning listening to the Mitsuru statue's breakfast and the Beatles LP. If you are really tired and want to be comforted, there is no better place to rest. I would like to ask the Koreans who will visit here only because it is a place that I really love and love. It is a beautiful and beautiful place.

I am lucky if I stayed at this homestay. There is a sense of security that Mr. mituru really welcomes you like relatives and absolutely helps with any troubles. I just came to study life I just can not go on a trip (laughs I had a good time having a good time drinking a good coffee.

It's very nice house if you want know about Japan modern and traditional house. Mr. Mitsuru take me many places to see beautiful winter scene and tell me a lot of information. It's very useful to me. I hope stay again, If I have chance.

Amazing place, clean and thoughtful!

It is a small town about an hour away from Niigata. There are a lot of quiet, small areas and quiet areas. If you are going to take a few days to relax and enjoy the sake of Nagata, I would recommend it. I would recommend it to people traveling with their vehicles.

It was a very beautiful room. A washing machine and detergent were also in the room. I used it overnight, but I would like to use it for a long time such as weekly if possible, and I think that it is basically such a room.

The apartment was wonderful, exactly as mentioned. Sparkling clean and very functional. The communication was brilliant. The property is easy to get to from Ojiya train station but its about 20 min walk.

Highly reccomend this spot! Grace and her family went out of their way to make me comfortable in their home. She let me do a (large!) load of laundry in their washing machine and offered to drive me to the places I needed to be because of the rain. A nice big room with space to spread out is rare in Japan on my budget.

Grace and her family are such a lovely people. They pick us up at the station, and always treated us in such a lovely way. They gave us tips about the town and how to enjoy it. Her home is really enjoyable, clean and confortable. You can´t find a better spot in Tokamachi!

I recommend. A friendly host family inn “Washi no Akari” I stayed in a nice inn “Washi no Akari” for 2 nights. The host family was very kind and always tried to cooperate to make my trip better. The inn's building has a calm and warm atmosphere that makes you feel nostalgic or feel fresh. As guests enter the entrance, they will be guided up the quaint stairs to the second floor rooms. The room is about 12 tatami mats in size. You can stay in one room so you can relax in a large room. There is an air conditioner, an oil stove, and a kotatsu. The second floor is also equipped with a guest refrigerator and microwave. According to the name of the inn, the room was lightly shined with “Japanese paper light”, and I was able to spend it comfortably with the good atmosphere of shoji, candy, and frosted glass. The bathroom, toilet and washbasin are on the first floor. It is not cold because there is heating. You can go face to face with your host. Of course, if you have anything you want to ask, you can speak immediately. If guests want, you can have tea and chat with the host in the living room. I was able to talk very much. My host is a native English speaker, but my Japanese is very good. There is nothing wrong with the language. We will pick you up at the station by car to meet your needs. You can also send it to nearby restaurants and sightseeing spots if the time is right. I sent them to “Kojimaya Katei” and “Picture Book and Nutnut Museum” which are very delicious soba noodles. (This museum is a wonderful, unique and interesting place that has made the closed Sanada Elementary School a picture book world. The surrounding nature is also a beautiful and recommended place. The curry of the cafe is also very delicious.) The host family are very nice people. I felt lonely to go home. I wanted to stay here a little longer if I could. “Washi no Akari” was an inn where you can feel a warm heart. Please go there. I recommend.

Grace and her family provided a comfortable stay in their spare tatami room on the second floor of their house. They are a lovely family. They offered tips for what to do in the area and even a ride from the train station. As I was leaving they were planting onions in their garden.

The loveliest host family ever!! Grace not only picked me up at the station but also drove me places, introduced local events and dishes and even made me dinner with the potatoes from their neighbors! Her kids are also two of the cutest and smartest ones I know! I didn't get to interact with her husband much but he seems like a great person too! Staying there with them (and having a huge room on second floor for myself) was really heartwarming and comfortable, 10/10 recommended!

大地の芸術祭周遊のため4泊お邪魔しました。 Highly recommended to visitors who plan to travel to Tokamachi. This traditional woodern house may not be stunning but it is cozy enough . Grace is really kind and helped me a lot during my stay. And her family are also very adorable. Hope to visit here again in winter！

I watched the Nagaoka Fireworks Conference but I couldn’t find a place to stay in Nagaoka. The accident was very good! The landlord is very enthusiastic, I also experienced a traditional Japanese-style room, overall it was great!

It was a bit far from downtown and very accessible. Grace was very kind. The Ramen House and the hot spring that I recommend are very good. The only thing that is a little disappointing is that if you pay attention only to this point, it is a really good place because it is a bit hard to have a drink in your room in the evening because you have kids at home.

Our stay was absolutely delightful, the house is amazing and the setting drop dead gorgeous. Our host and her family showed us tremendous hospitality and I can not recommend them enough, thank you we had a wonderful time.

The Hosts brought me to more places than I originally planned, which was great! I thought I would have many free time but everything was just perfect in terms of time & activities. Hosts drove me to Hoshitoge Rice Terraces early in the morning because of my request. They accommodated it. Food served were made very well. Amazing hospitality from their family. Thank you for having me.

Clean room with cleanliness. We will take care of every detail, such as providing water before check-in and water service. Recommended because the price is cheap!

It was very good.

I'll start with the problems, hard to find on Google maps, no towels. for others, no English. That's it. than that, this place was very very clean and looks new, despite being old. While hard to find, communicating in Japanese was quick and detailed responses were received to help find our way. We were told towels will be ordered for future guests. Seems like the owner is just getting started. I recommend. Only issue is nothing is around.

Would like to stay here again when I have a chance to come back to Niigata. The owner is kind and the surroundings are very quiet. Although I have not been to this time, there seems to be a hot spring nearby, and it is the best accommodation to stay in a room. There is also a hotel in the first place, and one room is spacious to some extent. You can also take delivery from the hotel. I would like to let you know when I can do business in the near future.

The one who was in the facility was very kind and I was concerned about it in various ways. It was a convenient place, about 10 minutes by car from the high speed IC.
