Cottage holiday rentals in Sail Bay

A true coastal haven indeed! This place was the perfect weekend getaway! Just a short walk to the beach with tons of great shops and cafes nearby—everything in Ocean Beach is so accessible. Having overnight parking made it easy to explore more of San Diego, from paddle boarding in the bay with super convenient gear rentals to quick trips to SeaWorld and downtown for the nightlife. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay with friends. The spa was a highlight—clean, cozy, and perfect for winding down after a full day. Plus, our pup loved the private patio with a pet relief area and had a blast at the nearby dog park and dog beach. Highly recommend for couples, families, or friends looking to enjoy the beach life with all the comforts of home. We’d absolutely come back—and don’t miss grabbing some Hoagies while you’re here!

This location is by far my favorite during my many visits to SD. Cutest cottage with the perfect location. Walkable to some amazing coffee shops and to the beach! Although the street has a lot of foot traffic, the cottage was very peaceful. It was never noisy and parking was never an issue for myself and guests that visited. Kristine and Clint were very responsive and gave simple instructions for us. This is a great place to relax and unplug! Thank you for an amazing time!

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely neighborhood. ( neighbor cut me one of her roses)Easy to get around. Ocean Beach so close. I would like to recommend that some safety bars placed in the shower. It was slippery Also, microwave was difficult to get at on top of the fridge for us short er folks. But the stay was wonderful. Would recommend it to others!

What a perfect place to stay for pur family vacation in La Jolla Shores! Walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants. Peaceful neighborhood, quaint cottage. We'll be back!

This place is incredible! The beds are so comfy, the location is ideal to the bay and an area restaurants etc! The outdoor space is lovely. And the pool and hot tub are awesome! We did not want to leave! Aurrora is a wonderful host too. You can’t go wrong with this place!

We loved our stay here, the location was perfect and there were so many extra beach items for us to use. It’s a cute, cozy and safe home in walking distance to so many great places. Andrea and Larry were great, we would love to come stay again sometime!

Lovely place to stay at. It felt like you were at home. It was very peaceful and clean. It was easy to find and street parking was not hard to find. Would love to come back and try the jacuzzi.

If you have a pet, expect a few extra hundred bucks. Also, the garage is pretty small if you drive anything bigger than a small sedan. Otherwise, great location and nice look. Theme was cute and very comfortable space.

My wife and I enjoyed staying in “The Loft” guesthouse. It was clean, cheerful and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host is friendly and responded quickly to questions. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is large and well stocked with towels and washcloths. The guesthouse was located close to shopping, restaurants, and major San Diego attractions. The kitchen had everything we needed. We recommend The Loft for your stay in San Diego.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Russell's bungalow. He was very welcoming, responsive to our needs, and always available. The place was well represented by the description and in the photos. The bungalow is in a very nice and quite neighborhood and close to the beach and restaurants.

Perfect spot for our needs. Comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, and had everything we needed! We would love to stay again.

Was fabulous. Far more noisy than expected & was uneasy about the gate not being secured. But these things are so minor compared to the accommodations. We loved it.

We had a great time in Ocean Beach, his place is super close to the beach and all kinds of restaurants and target. it is not loud at all at night time. the guy next door at the cycle shop is nice. I felt safe being there with my kids. I read reviews so brought my own toaster, no big deal. Smelled and felt clean. my kids liked the pull out couch. The only suggestion I would make for the owner is clean up the outside area where we park it's realy dumpy looking. But will definitely stay again.

I had an exceptional stay at Lach's beautifully maintained home in San Diego. The bright living room, fully stocked kitchen, and outdoor seating area with canyon views made it a perfect retreat. The self-check-in process was smooth, and the reserved parking spot was convenient. Lach's communication was prompt and efficient. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. We loved being a very short walk from the beach and only 15 minutes to the airport. The house was well-equipped and very clean. We appreciated having sufficient linens, beach accessories, and kitchen appliances, dishes and cookware. The kids loved the games and the boogie boards. The private patio and front deck were great spaces to dine and relax. The owner was very responsive and responded immediately to our messages. Next time, we will stay longer to explore the shops and restaurants nearby.

This is our second time staying at Terri's cottage. It is one of our best AIRBNB rentals we stay at. The cottage, the amenities, the place is exactly as in the description. We feel at home both times staying here. In addition, the hosts Terri and Michael always respond promptly and provides very detailed information from the booking time to checking out. This cottage will always be our favorite place to stay every time we are in San Diego.

We had a fantastic stay at the house. Close to the beach and local shops... we also found it very quiet and easy to sleep at night without extra noise had we been closer to the main road. zero complaints!

Great location and value! Lots to do nearby with nice cafes and restaurants a block away and the beach a short walk away. Erica and her co-hosts were very responsive. The hair dryer was missing from the bathroom and she brought a replacement over in under 10 minutes. Thanks for the amazing stay!

Absolutely exceptional — the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. The photos are stunning, but somehow the place is even better in person. The home was spotless, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches — we were especially grateful for the cozy robes and the oat milk creamer in the fridge! The kitchen is fully stocked! We loved waking up and falling asleep to the breathtaking view — both the daytime and nighttime views are incredible. Using the telescope was such a fun bonus! Like other reviewers, we spent a lot of time on the patio, and the surprise highlight was learning about the green parrots of Ocean Beach. We heard and saw them every morning — magical! The location is perfect, too. We walked easily to downtown OB and loved being part of such a gorgeous, welcoming community. The beds were super comfortable the linens were soft, and the bathroom felt spa-like. Anna truly thought of everything, including all the beach gear. Thank you Anna for sharing your home!

Had an excellent stay here was a brilliant location close to all that pacific beach and la jolla has to offer. Will hopefully return in the future!!

This is a beautiful space and had everything we needed. It's lovely to be able to turn a corner and walk along the cliffs and then into Ocean Beach. It was always easy to park right outside the house too. Just the one thing, there is a skylight and a couple of windows that don't have coverings so if you're a light sleeper or like to lie-in, it might be a bit bright. It didn't bother us because the bed was so comfy and it was so quiet we slept well. We'd definitely stay here again when hopefully the sun will shine and we can see a sunset!

The beach cottage was perfect for a long weekend getaway with our young kids. Tons of toys and a great fenced in patio to play. The front of the house faces a path and we loved not having to deal with any traffic. We were in between the beach and the bay and could still hear the waves. There was a fantastic playground a short walk away. The hosts were fantastic too!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property, especially since we stayed a week. We went to the beach everyday , walked to all the beaches and cafes in La Jolla, and were able to experience what it felt to live in La Jolla. The Airbnb location was great, felt very safe, and a 10 min walk to the nearest beach. Very very CLEAN, from the bathroom to the bedsheets, kitchen, couch, everything felt so clean. Wonderful patio with grill and heaters. Finally, the washer drier was SOOO useful, especially for a beach stay. We will most likely be booking this Airbnb on our next trip to San Diego.

It was very cozy and comfortable, and it had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again, it’s a great deal and felt like home.
