Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Saint George Island

We were especially impressed with the well stocked kitchen. Had everything we needed if we wanted to cook in and watch the sunsets. The beach chairs and towels were good quality and not the cheap like ones you find some places. Nice large living room and kitchen area to gather. Big tvs for watching NCAA softball! We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinners outdoors on the large picnic table on the deck. Great view, nice beach. Maria couldn’t help the seaweed that washed in but she voluntarily sent someone over to try to clean it up. The outdoor shower and toilet were especially convenient. Pool clean and well maintained. We had a great time. As far as price it was expensive but we had great amenities and the elevator was essential for my husband’s 89 year old mom who wanted another beach trip! Thanks for being so responsive Maria to anything we needed.

This place really sets the standard for items that are INCLUDED with a rental! Things were included WELL beyond expected. Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, Tupperware, storage bags, spices, salt, pepper, blankets, towels, kayaks, bicycles, propane(3 bottles!), binoculars, printer, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, etc, etc, and the list goes on and on! How many places have half & half, butter, and orange juice in the refrigerator waiting on you? There was no corner cut anywhere. ALSO...this places was clean from top to bottom. We really enjoyed this place! Thank you for doing things the right way!

We had such a great stay at Wally’s Coastal Cottage. The pictures of Wally’s place do not do it justice! We loved the old Florida charm of this cottage and it was very comfortable. The backyard area was comfy and private. We were a quick drive or bike ride from the center of Apalach’s historic downtown with its cool restaurants, bars and music and a 15 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of St. George Island. We also were lucky enough to meet Wally! Highly recommend his Coastal Cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at beach baby! Very roomy, nice kitchen with plenty of cookware and dishes, and the most comfy beds! House looks a little different from photos as they are in the process of updating. They’ve done a great job on the front porch and steps, as well as the back deck. The covered front porch and the partial cover back porch are perfect for cooling off from the sun or being outdoors when it rains. The only thing I missed was the screened in part for the front porch but it didn’t interfere with our stay. I’m sure that will be updated soon as well. You can tell they’ve put some love into this place. 😍

Our family of four had a great time at the Skinny Mini. All the rooms were very roomy, comfortable, and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dishes were beautiful! The couches were very comfortable. There weren’t any beach chairs or umbrellas, so be prepared to bring your own. We only had neighbors on one side, so it wasn’t too bad, but the closeness of the homes makes it very difficult to have any privacy. If you’re traveling with pets, you’ll have to take them across the street to the small green area as there is no grass or any place to take them under the house or behind it. We definitely recommend it!

We had a few minor issues with the outside lights and pool light not working. Shellie was very responsive. The outside trash from previous guest wasn't picked up by garbage service until we had been there 3 days. We did mention it. The home is older and could use some updates but it was still a nice place to stay with lots of room for the eight of us. The location is good, pool is nice, loved the screened porches, plenty of pots, pans and dishes, plenty of seating in the living room. Overall, it was good stay and we would be happy to stay again.

My family are returned guest. This home feels like our home away from home! We love the area because it is quiet, not overly crowded, and not commercialized! Beautiful beach that allows you to have your pets vacation with you! You're allowed to have golf carts on the beach which is a great feature. Saved us numerous trips back and forth to set up for our beach day.

The house was great! We came in for a fishing trip. Plenty of room to park the boat and 1 extra truck. Good proximity to the city boat ramp. Full of cooking utensils and very clean. 10/10 do recommend this house.

I can’t begin to describe what an amazing beach house this was. It went above and beyond my expectations. I felt right at home as if it was my own. The distance to the beach was perfect. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. I was able to take my dog for a few mile long walks around the neighborhood. The sunsets are beautiful as well as the early morning breeze that blows through the screened in porch. The swing on the porch was big enough to sleep on. And if you are lucky you might even get to hear, see and feel the jets fly over heading towards or away from the near by Air Force base. But don’t worry you would hardly know the base was there unless you knew ahead of time. There are many restaurants and a cute little downtown. There is a lighthouse in town and even a Sea Turtle Center. I would definitely recommend Lourdes’ Pink Door Vacay and cannot wait to go there again soon.

This place truly was perfect for a family vacation! Michelle is a wonderful host and her home is beautiful, clean and comfortable inside and out. If you’re looking for a private but close to everything place, this is it. Michelle was quick to respond and she took time to check in to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Michelle for helping to make our time a great one!

This place is a gem! The house has everything you need including pool, hot tub, large yard, a great dock for fishing and watching the dolphins or the sunset. The location is perfect; just far enough away from everything to be quiet and private but close enough for a trip to downtown Appalachicola for shopping and dining, St. George Island for the beach, or state forests for hiking. Sara was a great host, easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

We have travelled to this area for years and this is by far the best house we have stayed at. Gorgeous house, plenty of space for our big family. We had a blast with the golf cart, E-bikes and video games. Beach chairs were in excellent condition. House was beautifully decorated. My only complaint is they made us leave , I could have stayed forever LOL . Even accommodated a late check out. Communication is top notch. We will definitely be repeat customers . Thanks Darin for the best Mother’s Day a mom could have.

The house is absolutely beautiful. Everything we needed for our weeks stay was there! Beds are very comfy, linens, towels, all just perfect. The property is beautiful and just a short walk to the beach. Having a pool and game room made the stay so much more enjoyable. The home is a short drive to PSJ and Mexico Beach but honestly loved staying put and enjoying the home and pool. Kate thank you so much for helping us celebrate our graduate and all of your hospitality! This was just the perfect week!!

This place was beautiful! First, the location and beach access was amazing. It made it so easy to get to/from the beach, especially with a toddler. We also loved there was a spot to spray off before going inside, and that the porch had a little gate so our daughter could safely be on the porch. Inside, the place is well kept and cozy! The decor was fun, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the best part is no fragrance plugins!! 🙌🏻 Thank you so much for that. All in all, we will definitely stay again, and this fueled our dreams of owning a beach condo of our own one day 😉

This place was great! We booked last minute and were very pleased with our experience!

we were passing through and on a whim decided to stop near Mexico Beach. This property showed up and fit everything we needed, especially pet friendly and not charging extra for our 2 fur babies traveling with us. Even a yard out back for them to roam. Renee responded almost immediately to any question I had, and was an amazing host! If ever in the are a again, we will definitely stay again!

Our already special visit became x-tra special among the sweet swaying pine trees of this shaded lovely home, a bird-watchers’ & hiker’s delight. The décor is fresh & enjoyable, kitchen is easy to work in & large screened porch is like an enclosed living room. Jennifer is accommodating, granting early check-in as there were no prev. guests.We enjoyed walking to both the St. George Sound non-swimming waters, lovely to look at from the convenient front porch perches, as much as we liked following the nearby public easement path to the Gulf Shore, where we found empty shells to wash & add to the glass jar collection on a side table. The bed is comfortable, bathrooms are extra clean & views out the many windows are a pleasure. As we toured the island & returned to this wooded retreat we realized how solidly built, with extra features of endurance, this house was created for the family who obviously lovingly cares for it.

This is the 2nd year that we stayed at The Spicy Pelican and we throughly enjoyed it. The balconies are superb and spacious. The house was clean and ready for us. Especially nice is that the owners have a large pantry off the kitchen in which there are spices, olive oil, and many things that might have been forgotten while packing. All I can say is that you cannot go wrong with The Spicy Pelican. It’s not right on the beach but it is so close that it really doesn’t matter. 5 star review!!

Good things do come in small packages! The unit is a 2 bedroom with comfortable beds and living room area. Also very nice outside areas (front and back) with a privacy fence and even an outdoor shower, washer and dryer in one area and a screened in porch with nice table and chairs in the other area. Nice kitchen area with ample pots, pans and utensils for cooking, with full sized stove, microwave and coffee maker. Living area has a comfortable sofa and large TV. Air conditioning was more than enough to cool the interior if needed. The whole unit appeared to be updated and was very clean. We would definitely return and communication when needed was always followed up with a prompt reply from the owner.

We had a great time on the boat! It was super private even being at the marina. The boat itself was beautiful and well stocked. It was a great layout and had everything you need. Brittany was an excellent host and super responsive. Great AirBnB
