Family-friendly holiday rentals in Saint Ives Bay

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Caroline’s place! We loved the freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival. Check in was super easy as the key was just left in the door. Our little boy Myles loved watching the alpacas too! Overall very pleasant and refreshing stay I would recommend!

A lovely house in a fantastic location. Peter and Scarlet were extremely easy to deal with and very responsive. The house was clean and tidy with good amenities - especially the hot tub and the pool table. Well worth checking out.

Beautiful traditional Cornish cottage located within a very peaceful village but only 10mins drive from loads of beautiful beaches. Added benefit of a hot tub which unfortunately we didn’t get to use with a 2 year old in tow! Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, inside & out. Internally the decor is all amazing and very thoughtfully designed and very luxurious. The location is perfect to explore all corners of Cornwall. Kate is a superb host who made us feel extra special with all the welcome treats. The hottub & sauna are a great way to relax after a long day of walking with our dogs. We had the best time here but it was all too short. We’ll certainly be back!

Jenny was fab about us arriving later than expected and we got a lovely welcome when we did eventually arrive. The lodge is lovely and had everything we needed. The gardens are absolutely out of this world, every part you walk around is better than the bit before!! Very friendly, genuinely nice hosts and we couldn’t have asked for more from them. As it was our first time in Cornwall they were really helpful with ideas of where to visit and places to eat/go for a drink. Sonny (the dog) was a massive added bonus too! Brilliant few days away, it was very much needed! Thank you both again :)

What a wonderful find. We met at Tygwella for a family holiday, some of us coming from Australia and some from Manchester. The house was ideal. It was spacious so we could occupy different “wings” with our own bathrooms and come together for meals, chat and play. The house was very generously supplied with basic provisions, kitchen and laundry equipment. We wanted for nothing. Having two ovens was great for cooking adult and children’s meals. The location was so peaceful with great views and easy access to the coast path and beach.

This place was such a great find! We’ve just got back from the most perfect week away. We originally only booked for 4 nights but we extended our stay as we were having such a wonderful time. The place is just lovely with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We loved our welcoming gifts too. Kate and Simon are brilliant hosts and were extremely easy to contact. St Agnes is a beautiful location with some superb coastal walks. There’s also plenty of places to go out for food and drink. The beach is stunning also. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is considering it (just book it!). Thanks again for a brilliant stay Kate and Simon!

Fiona was a fantastic host, loads of info and very friendly. the house is perfect for a family stay and we loved the cream teas left for us. there is tea and coffee and lots of other handy bits. cupboards full of everything could need like pots pans cling film tuppawear... the main bed was very comfy and cot bed provided. the jacuzzi was great but we unfortunately didn't use the pool as we were too busy seeing the sights. the garden is amazing and we felt very at home. We really loved our stay and we would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family.

Wow - what an amazing place to stay! This is probably the most memorable AirBnB I have stayed in so far. You are right on the edge of the seafront and by the harbour, with the double aspect living room enabling you to see both - the sea views are just stunning. Margaret was a really friendly and communicative host, and the parking space is good. I would heartily recommend this as a great place to stay; it is just so special being able to look out and see the sea from bed, and to hear the waves lapping at the shore as you go to sleep or make your cup of tea in the morning.

Lovely studio tastefully put together in an excellent location. 10 minutes from the Carbis Bay beach and away from the busy St Ives, but just as well connected to train/bus stations for day trips if you fancy.

We as a family with twins and a big dog can warmly recommend this beautiful chalet. Nicely decorated and everything you need is in there. The surrounding and the beaches are beautiful and close by. This area is very dog friendly as well which made the holiday for everyone so nice and easy. We will come back one day. Thank you ;)

This was our second stay at Sharon's barn and we will definitely come back again. It's in a great location, has all the bits and pieces you need for a week's holiday and is incredibly comfortable. the bed is very comfy and we slept soundly, waking ready for a walk to the beach for a swim.

What a find, was looking for somewhere to stay while attending a wedding and this apartment is amazing. After a long journey from Cambs, we found this lovely place has everything you need, great host, free parking, restaurants within a few minutes, cafe below you…yet a feeling of privacy within the apartment. We felt totally at home here, such a clean, tidy, comfortable and homely place, great neighbours and locals who are also very welcoming. We would recommend The Unicorn pub and Blue Bar for food and drink and friendliness, and for the morning the Beach Cafe below the apartments, great quality good value food. The beach is literally below you along with amazing walks, we experienced picture-postcard sunsets each night, couldn’t have asked for more. Mike the host is very professional and helpful, responding quickly to our questions and giving advice like a true local of the place! 10/10 on everything we experienced. Go see for yourself!

We loved staying at the property. It was bright and clean, and uncluttered. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped. The weather was changeable while we were there, but we felt very cosy when needed. The location is fantastic, we had come down by train, and were able to walk to Marazion. We also had access to the Penzance bus, which we used on our last day to get to the train station. There are also local shops and pubs within walking distance. Karly and her family were very friendly, we felt we could have approached them if we had needed anything. They had very thoughtfully left a bottle of wine and milk for when we arrived. We will be returning to Cornwall in the future, and would stay at this property again, it was such good value for money for the high standard of accommodation.

Dana and Paul have put a lot of thought into catering for their guests . Quality clean towels, tea towels , plenty of toilet paper. Everything you need for a peaceful retreat .

This was a last-minute break, and worked so well for us. Beautiful location- it was lovely to drink coffee in the morning outside, overlooking the sea. Such a peaceful place, and close to lots of lovely places to visit. Charlotte's information was really comprehensive- lots of recommendations for food etc.

The property matched the description provided, though the photographs give the impression of a larger space. Nevertheless, it perfectly met our requirements. Chris was exceptionally responsive to our inquiries, addressing various questions we had. The area was clean and filled with ample natural light. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding land for play, as well as the small game room stocked with toys, which was a welcome respite during a particularly rainy and windy day. The on-site washing machine was available for free use, and the washing line proved to be quite useful. Although the outdoor pool was not heated, it did not deter my children from taking a dip and having fun. I would certainly consider staying at this property again.

My family of four recently stayed at Pamela’s place in Portreath and we had a blissful week in paradise! Everything about the week was great - Pamela and her family are so lovely and friendly and it truly felt like a home away from home. I booked this place especially for the amenities of the pool and hot tub and my kids (11 and 8) loved it! It was so nice to have an uncrowded swimming pool to relax at! The apartment was clean and cozy and was a great base for our week of adventures. It was nice to be able to walk 5 minutes for a morning pastry and coffee from the local bakery. It is clear from its immaculate and beautiful nature that Bassett Acre is a source of pride for Pamela and her family and they were perhaps the most gracious and friendly hosts of any place my family has stayed. We are already planning another stay next summer!

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

Stunning apartment, spacious and modern . Very clean. Welcome pack provided and toiletries. Beautiful views across the bay. 5 min walk down to the sea. 10 mins back ( uphill ! ) Lovely balcony to have a glass of wine. Peaceful location. Would thoroughly recommend.

Our stay with Stephen was great! Very clean and private space cabin. With a lovely outside area where we sat with some friends. Very quiet and peaceful. Stephen was great and really flexible RE: check-in timings and always had a very quick response to any queries I had before our stay. Would highly recommend.

As described, good central location within walking distance of the town. Well presented and good amenities.

I would recommend Fistral cottage, it was larger than the pictures seemed to show, and it had character and charm. The kids loved having access to a pool and hottub, we were lucky enough to have these to ourselves mostly, but we picked a time where it wasn’t peak holiday or very busy. The cottage was in a great location for a short drive to beaches and restaurants. I recommend the Italian down the road, zucchini 😉

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. It was bright and spacious for our party of 4 adults and 2 young children. The pool was brilliant and really added to our stay. Having 2 rooms which were en suite and a third separate toilet/shower room was very convenient. We were sad to leave and would love to return in the future.
