Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

The kitchen opens onto a large "saltwater" pool and its beach. To the west, on the bedroom side, a nice terrace for sunbathing in complete privacy. In front of the terrace, in its green setting, a 2-seater Jacuzzi strictly reserved for our cottage guests. And, of course, plancha available poolside.

Out of sight, on a fenced plot of 1500 m2, you will discover its swimming pool, summer kitchen and large terrace, where you can relax in the shade of the Magnolia. A magnificent wisteria-covered porch leads you into the house.
