Cottage holiday rentals in Salem

It is very peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub on the deck adds a feeling of luxury. The internal stairs are quite narrow but manageable (we went up and down these all the time), and if you are not limber you should take the external stairs that are nice and wide. VERY comfortable bed. Overall highly recommend and will likely come back

The location of Eva's Cottage was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We were spending our anniversary doing multiple day hikes out of the Gorge. This little cottage nestled in the woods provided us the peace and serenity we were looking for as well as providing a local home base to return to each day. The cottage was off the beaten path so it was private. It was in the view of their lodge but didn't interfere with our privacy at all. We had a momma deer with her twin babies lingering near the cottage for us to admire and we enjoyed just sitting and watching the river.

Sally is a great person, very cultured, the room is very comfortable and well located, I really recommend it!

We loved this place by the river! The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The backyard has a great view to the river. We enjoyed our evening and morning there!

A private oasis in the forest. I don't think I have ever stayed in such a peaceful location. The private warm spring (very easy to use) in close proximity to a beautiful blue rushing river was so unique. The only reason we left was to hike up and down the river. This will definitely be a repeat location for us.

Incredible hidden cottage nestled in a woodsy spot. The hosts were very sweet. Alpacas were the stars of the stay. Clean, quiet and well equipped. Short drive to town, great restaurants and doughnut shops!!

The Bee Cottage is very cute and quaint. The house had everything needed , and Jim was very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay there again!

Kristen was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and I felt incredibly safe. The cottage was cozy and the views were breathtaking. I have never wanted to come back to a location before until now. I can’t say enough kind things about Kristen. Hands down would recommended this Airbnb to anyone looking in this area.

Great location, a few blocks from downtown. Jolie had good suggestions for places to eat.

This is our 3rd time here. We always feel right at home. The hospitality is most generous and we are always sad when our trip is over. What an amazing place to create family memories. We are already looking forward to our 4th stay. Thank you Julia and Jack!

Laurie and Van are very nice people and the place is great. We enjoyed the peacefulness as this place is just out of the busy city and the hosts allowing access to the lake and thier dock through their space is a very nice gesture. highly recommend and we will return.

Loved this place. Very clean, very comfortable. We loved the outdoor space. We were able to walk into town to get dinner which we love doing. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed staying in this house. It's very secluded and private, but well equipped with every kind of amenities. Would love to come and stay again. Only issue we had was difficulty in finding the place at night since there was no sign on the road and it was pretty dark

Joseph’s place was exactly what we were looking for, well equipped, well located, well thought out, and we were well taken care of. Joseph is a very friendly and responsive host while at the same time not invading on your privacy at all. Definitely recommend going to the local bar within walking distance, lovely place with lovely people. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Portland!

Elie's cottage is beautifully furnished and includes everything you need for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Thoughtful touches await, such as welcoming chocolates, coffee pods, bottled water and a much-appreciated ice-cold bottle of beer! The mattress is exceptionally comfortable and the bedding and towels are sumptuous. Elie's gorgeous garden is right outside your window, and is only steps away from convenient on-street parking. In addition to an informative notebook, our host provided signage with instructions for the door lock, coffee maker, air conditioner, and other appliances. The shops and restaurants of Multnomah Village are within walking distance, and the cottage is a short drive from downtown and Portland's many attractions. We greatly appreciated Elie's hospitality and hope to stay at his cottage during our next visit to the Rose City.

Carol has thought of & provided everything you might need for your stay. The bed is very comfortable. The area is quiet. The shower has good pressure & nice products. The floor is beautiful. We felt so comfortable in this cottage. Everything is spotless. The kitchen is also well stocked with multiple ways to brew coffee. Snacks are provided. She left us delicious chocolate chip cookies. Nice restaurants are close enough to walk to or a few minutes drive. We loved the Zinc Bistro. Cute street with a book store & other boutiques. Easy to get to the SE, NE, & NW for whatever to want to see. 1/2 hr drive at most, I think. Freeway or city streets. We loved this neighborhood; the cottage is very special.

As always, Bubby's place was exactly as described. Super responsive. If you have the opportunity to book this hidden gem, don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

Maggie’s Place was a beautiful, peaceful retreat as described. The back deck was worth the price itself (minus a few mosquitoes)! Very comfortable beds and well thought out extras. We’ll keep this in mind for our next cross-country trip to Oregon!

One of the nicest places we have stayed using Airbnb. Highly recommend for exploring Portland and the Sauna is a great bonus!
