We highly recommend the place! The apartment is stylish and furnished with great attention to detail, spotlessly clean and excellently equipped. The spacious outdoor area with a beautiful garden and a wonderful pool invites you to relax and offers a fantastic atmosphere. Hostess Céline is very warm and attentive – you feel welcome from the first moment.

Small quiet and peaceful village, perfect for relaxing and resting. Nice house with all amenities surrounded by a beautiful garden. We were also able to enjoy a very nice indoor pool. Recommended for people who love nature.

Fab place. We loved the use of the kayaks, and the pool was great. Very comfy beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Only a 6 mins drive to a hypermarket and very quiet roads . Tony was very helpful and friendly. We would come again. Thoroughly recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely family holiday at Flavien’s place. The accommodation was perfect and had everything we needed - all as described. Flavien’s family were very welcoming and so helpful during our stay. We definitely hope to come back!

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Shabby chic, minimal, beautiful design concept. Great detail in retaining the history of the building while Including a polished concrete floor throughout with underfloor heating and incorporating iconic design objects.

We have just had the most amazing stay here! The house and grounds are stunning with amazing views. The house is very close to Bergerac but is very private in the countryside with vast grounds. We had such a peaceful and relaxing break. Jil was a wonderful host, so responsive and helpful. She sent great instructions for our arrival, lots of recommendations and also came over on the evening of our arrival to make sure we were comfortable and to explain things around the house, which was appreciated. Would love to stay again and will be recommending to friends and family!

Great warm hosting. Very peaceful setting in the middle of the Charente countryside. A charming family, with the father who showed us his wooden creations. It was a pleasure to chat with him and Anita. The house is very nice with beautiful decoration and well maintained. We would highly recommend.

Excellent welcome from Véronique and her husband, with a lot of friendliness and a very friendly presence: you feel a little "at home"! The listing is as described. It is particularly warm, furnished and tastefully decorated. The outdoor space is really nice. In short, a beautiful place where we will return with great pleasure.

Cozy, very well equipped and tastefully decorated home. It feels like home. You can feel that the owners are committed to satisfying their guests and that feels good. We hope to be back soon.

The house is very welcoming and well renovated, very pleasant in its layout and spaces and full of small touches that contribute to making you feel welcome. A beautiful garden in the middle of the roses on which the gaze rests when you open the shutters of the room :-). The calm of the alley is also very appreciable. There is a lot of equipment in the kitchen and there is everything you need to really cook. I highly recommend this accommodation, which is very nice.

Very nice and spacious and well-equipped accommodation. The only downside is the proximity of the road and the noise of the cars that circulate. Note, no battery in the remote control of the air conditioning of the downstairs bedroom, broken outdoor deckchair, no air conditioning in one of the upstairs bedrooms (under the roofs), bathroom mirror switch of the downstairs bedroom too bright.

We had a brilliant week at David and Jo's. The cottage was beautiful, with gorgeous old features but also up to date and pristine. Photos make it look lovely but it's even better in real life! Everything you need, including sharp kitchen knives and the most comfortable bed I've slept in in a while. Stunning surroundings and so peaceful. Had great fun in the pool and trying to play tennis! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. David and Jo were such lovely, kind hosts. Have already recommended it to friends and family. Really hope we get to return.

Melanie's place was really lovely. It was spotlessly clean and very stylish. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need. Melanie communicated quickly and clearly. It is a great base to explore Cognac and surrounding areas. Plenty of walks along the beautiful Charente River and a visit to the Hennessey Cognac Visitor Centre is well worth the effort.

We really liked Thomas’ place. The pool is much better than the photos look and the pool was very clean. A great little seating area under a canopy and plenty of sun loungers. Rarely used by anyone else! Good location for road cycling (road cyclists from UK will find the roads undulating and open). Really nice peaceful setting. Really quiet. WiFi good enough to do video calls to work from the house.
