A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

Wow!! Marie's house was beautiful and in lovely, tranquil surroundings. We were a party of 5 and the house and amenities were perfect. It was great to have a swimming pool to cool off from the summer sun. We booked for a week at a late stage but from the first enquiry to Marie and throughout our time there Marie was always very quick and helpful to respond. We absolutely recommend this wonderful house and host, but hopefully there will still be the opportunity for us to book again when we are in the Charente.

Great rural location and wonderful hosts! Near the famous Riberac Friday market, and picturesque villages like Aubeterre, Bourdeilles, Brantome, etc.

We loved our stay at David and Jerome’s place!! They were both extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. The property is beautiful and peaceful, whether having your morning coffee in the garden, an afternoon swim in the pool or an evening hot tub. Would highly recommend to all future guests!

The gite is perfect, everything you need for an ideal stay, the swimming pool is a perfect size for a little one and also is you want to do a few lengths. The garden and barn is spectacular, the perfect space to escape from the heat and eat in a beautiful place. The hosts, Sue and Paul, are so accommodating and so very welcoming, it’s been the best stay and we did not want to go home!! We have already booked to come back, an amazing stay 👍👍👍👍

A most excellent stay, comfortable, quiet, great pool, good facilities, great location for us, the provided breakfast was way better than expected, we would highly recommend The Grange and both Ian and Carol as hosts, superb value for money, and an ideal rural Frenchland location (pothole free roads yay), cheers!

I 100% recommend the accommodation of Alban and Sandrine who are very kind, very welcoming and available hosts as well as their neighbor Virginie who welcomed us at first. The accommodation is faithful to the description and photos, even more beautiful! Impeccable cleanliness, tastefully decorated, you feel very good there right away! Staying at the Moulin de Bord is like going back in time, where the water once sang under stone wheels. Nestled in a green setting, this old mill full of history now offers an enchanted break, away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The murmur of the Bandiat cradles days and nights, and each stone seems to tell the memories of a peaceful past. The setting is of rare beauty, authentic and refreshing. The calm is deep, almost sacred. You breathe nature, you'll find peace. As for Sabrina, the host, she embodies generosity and sweetness. Her warm and thoughtful welcome gives this already magical place an even brighter soul.

We had a great time! Marie-Claude is charming and welcoming. The place is ready for a green one! In a quiet, typical and flowery place, it is a real haven of serenity. If in addition you are lovers of bucolic walks, this is the perfect place. I would 100% recommend!

We had the pleasure of staying with Anne and met an adorable host, full of good humor. She made sure we didn't miss anything for our stay without being intrusive. The accommodation is even more pleasant in real life than in the photo, the calm there is master, you will find something to occupy yourself in the accommodation or there is no shortage of activities in the surrounding area. We're already thinking about when we'll be back.

We had the most wonderful 12-night stay in The Farmhouse and enjoyed fabulous hospitality from Sam & Stuart. It is very well equipped with everything that you need for a very comfortable stay. There is a beautiful outdoor space for al fresco dining. There is an enormous barn which has been converted into a games area and is incredibly well equipped with table tennis, pool, darts, table football, a library, and every board game known to man! There is also an invaluable library of information on the local area. The massive heated outdoor pool is such a beautiful area to relax in. With the local church as a backdrop and the sounds of the birds singing in the surrounding trees in the beautiful garden was absolute bliss. The location is a great base to travel from and explore the towns and villages in the surrounding area. We even managed a couple of day trips to La Rochelle and Bordeaux. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and relaxing stay.

We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

The stay at La Marceline is very pleasant, the accommodation spacious, comfortable and clean, the garden very nice and convenient with parking space. Quietly located in the countryside in a picturesque hamlet less than 5 minutes from the center of Chef-Boutonne where there are all amenities.

Good stay at Corentin's, who is concerned about our well-being at his place. Clean and very well-equipped house No problem to recommend. we will return without hesitation.

André is a great host! He answers very quickly, he cares that you are well and comfortable and he is very, very kind. The accommodation is very clean, very bright, it is as in the photos and is very close to the station on foot. It's super quiet and very pretty!

An enchanted break!!! How can I tell you!! It's a paradise on earth, Céline and Christel are adorable. Very easy and pleasant communication. They have created a peaceful haven that takes you to a timeless world to rest. Everything is done with taste in the smallest detail. It's even more beautiful than in the photos. And the terrace is very pleasant for meals and relaxation. If you love nature and tranquility, book now. Thank you again for your time.

Wonderful stay in a very well appointed recently refurbished house. A very peaceful location but within a 5 minute drive of Cognac city centre. Beautiful walks along the river Charente. Melanie and her husband were very welcoming and helpful hosts and we would definitely consider returning in the near future.

We had a great stay with Donna and Chris. They are always approachable and respond quickly and adequately if there is something. The accommodation we had was a very nice and spacious house, with large kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 large bedrooms. The pool is clean and nice. The accommodation is in a beautiful region, big cities and beautiful sights all < 1 hour drive. Less than 10 minutes' drive away are large supermarkets, and there are excellent restaurants in the area and region. We felt completely at home here and had a wonderful vacation. If you get the chance to book this accommodation, I would!

The home was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We made it work for 3 couples for one night. Two couples or a small family could be comfortable for much longer. We thought enjoyed the upper deck!
