Guesthouse holiday rentals in Saltsjöbaden

Krister and his partner were great always open to talk about things. The location is perfect, regular busses and trains nearby to explore Stockholm and surrounds. We took Krister's advice and had dinner at the local restaurant, great food and service. For nature lovers like us, we loved the nearby forest nature reserves. One afternoon sitting on the patio outside there was a Roe deer lying down in the garden just meters away which made our afternoon the best, imagine that just 20 minutes by public transport from Stockholm, Sweden's capital. Great place to stay. Sorry Krister, we forgot to write in your guestbook.

All good, train station close to the house. Kayak included really a plus.

The hosts, Björn and Annika, connected Netflix to the TV before we arrived - but we never turned on the TV in the 7 days we lived in the house. This is, in general, a brief review - everything was so rich and interesting. If you want more details. The house has a good location if you are traveling by car. You can quickly get to the train station (5 minutes), to the metro station (15 minutes), to the center of Stockholm (30-35 minutes). You can use the boat and fishing rods. Deer, hares, and geese wander into the territory. The toilet, shower and sauna are in a separate house, but we adapted very quickly. The whole family was sad when we left. A big thank you to Sweden, Björn and Annika, and the loving corgi Luna!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guest house. It’s small but had everything we needed for our family of three — even a sauna with an incredible view of the lake. The garden, which we shared with the hosts and their lovely family, was big enough for everyone and felt very welcoming and relaxed. Our child had the best time running around the grassy area, jumping on the trampoline, playing in the sand, and kicking a ball around. There were plenty of tables and chairs outside, and we especially loved having meals outdoors while enjoying the beautiful lake view. The hosts were kind, thoughtful, and always happy to help with the little things. We really appreciated their warm hospitality. The guest house and the Älta area are peaceful, family-friendly, and full of charm.

The garden in which the cottage is located is beautiful. From the cottage, it is a few minutes' walk to the water, nature or shopping. At the bus stop, buses run every minute to the city or out to the Schärengarten. The mix - quiet and yet close to the city - is a real advantage. The cottage has everything you need. Even if you arrive by public transport, you can do without large luggage. The host family is very nice and generous.

Magdalena and her Partner were excellent hosts. 100% responsive to questions and super helpful with a vehicle snaffu lending us tools to fix the problem. The location is tranquil and quiet with lake and sea nearby. Definitely try to stay in the lakeside floating ‘pod’ if it’s available. There is a row boat and the view of the lake is superb. Only caveat would be to anyone with fitness issues should not consider staying here. The accommodation is up a super steep driveway and obviously the ladders to the beds are super steep also. Other than that our stay was excellent. Thank you both for your welcome and help when we needed it.

This cottage was very nice, and the surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. It felt like there were benches facing every direction (good for catching the sun ☀️). We especially loved having bikes available to explore the area – it was a fantastic way to see everything. Highly recommend!

The cottage was very beautiful, fully furnished and well equipped. Our stay was excellent and the children really appreciated the toys. The host Lars was very nice, helpful and responded quickly to our questions. We can highly recommend this home.

This cottage in the Stockholm archipelago was an absolute godsend for me! It is located near the bus stop and is therefore very easy to reach by public transport. The location in the countryside is simply fantastic and you have many opportunities to do something in the nature or just sit on the terrace and enjoy the garden. The accommodation is small but incredibly well equipped (even a dishwasher) and very comfortable. In the bed I slept like on clouds for a month. Christina was very friendly, helpful and always easily accessible. If I come back to the area, I would rent the cottage again.

Lena's place is relaxing as it has a beautiful garden 🪴 surrounding it! Lean is super kind and friendly, as is her entire family! There are beautiful forests nearby you can walk in with wildlife and flowers (if you come in spring and summer). There is a grocery store within a 10 min walk, as well as a bus stop near the store, where you can ride to the train that takes you into the city. I recommend this place if you prefer coming home to calm & nature after your days out! 🥰

A small Swedish dream in a very pretty, absolutely quiet environment. The tiny house is practical and also very carefully furnished down to the last detail. Many towels and care products, cozy beds, games and a grill incl. coal. There are even warm socks. It is easily accessible to the public, the supermarket has everything, the swimming area is close and the view from the rocks there is beautiful. We will be happy to come back.

We were looking for a peaceful, tranquil location just outside Stockholm - and that’s exactly what we got. Perfect. The cabin is lovely - everything as described and kitted out in the customary Swedish style, quality and elegance. As they used to say down the east end of London: all good; nothing bad! .

We had a super pleasant stay close to the beach. The cottage was very nice with a close walking distance to the beach. It was also very cozy and private. The area was beautiful. Linnea was a great host too- kind, helpful and available. I will definitely rent this one again!

My first stay in an Airbnb and I was so impressed. The place was spotless and the instructions were really clear. It looks even better than the photos. Felt very at home and hope to return next year.

We had a wonderful vacation in Stockholm. The proximity to the beach and at the same time to the bus is unbeatable. You can be in the city center in 15 minutes. There are the best shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity. Christer is a perfect host who always supports you with advice and action. The tiny house is just as beautiful and clean in reality as in the photos. This place is highly recommended.

Host accommodations and location were great! Highly recommend. This is really a little house (everything inside seemed like new) with great appliances and everything you need to enjoy your time at home while visiting Stockholm. It’s a 15 minute walk to a town center with shopping, groceries and public transportation. If you take the train downtown it’s another 15 minutes. Location and neighborhood are upscale and safe.

Little bit far away from the Stockholm city area but it’s a good place to escape from the busy. Chill and cozy vibre. Good place to go if you need some peace. But the host should be friendly remind that there’s limited supply of hot water.

Ideal location in a beautiful setting to explore the local area and Stockholm. Hennie was friendly. Comfortable and clean. We didn’t want to leave! Hoping to visit again!
