Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Samara Beach

This is an extremely tranquil location. Playa San Miguel may be my favorite beach on this whole coastline. The rooms are exactly as described and depicted, simple but very clean and comfortable. The location right on the beach is absolute pure gold. The host is great, the breakfast was delicious. We didn't need anything but to relax and play in the waves. In general this is an area of the coast that doesn't have many people, maybe we'd see three other people on a giant, long beach. We arrived right after high season ended but this is remote and quiet even during the busiest part of the year. This is the kind of place you should go if you don't need much to do but relax, swim and get a serious recharge. There are just enough restaurants in the area and one in particular, Restaurant San Miguel is world class. My kids had a great time. I will return!

Our four days here were the best part of our Costa Rica vacation! Extremely charismatic, inspiring and multilingual hosts. Private cabins with everything you need for your needs. The food in the restaurant is royal and fantastically delicious. The pool is cleaned with ecological means. 5 minutes to the ocean with monkeys, birds and beautiful nature on the way. We highly recommend staying here if you are in Costa Rica!

Loved our stay in Santa Teresa! Everything matched the listing perfectly, the beds were comfortable, the space was clean, and it was a great place to relax/rest after being out all day. Our favorite part was being steps from the beach, which was beautiful and we basically had all to ourselves while we were there! Definitely recommend :)

Excelente lugar

This place was one of the best experiences we had during our time in Costa Rica. The place is incredibly beautiful, with a garden full of animals and a very welcoming pool. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful! Everything there is unbelievably well-maintained. They do a few little things that make a big difference, such as using extremely good mattresses and drying the rooms when you’re not in them.

Francisco ist ein toller Gastgeber. Man merkt ihn kaum, aber er ist immer da und ansprechbar, wenn man ihn braucht. Er hat immer Zeit für Empfehlungen. Das Zimmer entspricht der Beschreibung und die Lage am Strand ist toll. Beim Frühstück hat man unterschiedliche Wahlmöglichkeiten. Der Kontakt zu anderen Gästen ist vorhanden.

L'hôte à pas répondu à nos questions quand nous cherchions pour Le site. Donc on a du chercher longtemps sans son support. Par contre membres du personnel très accomodants. Très beau bien situé près d'une superbe plage. Excellent déjeuner avec un excellent service.

Ideal layout, glorious shared pool with one other suite and Tracy served up healthy and hearty breakfasts for everyone each morning. Only surprise was it gets dark about 5pm in this part of Costa Rica which I didnt notice 20 yrs ago on my first visit. Surf breaks are large and much more relentless than meets the eye. Fighting past the relentless pounding break at mid-morning just wore me out. But drinking cold coconut water straight from the shell courtesy of the nearby surf school gives your body new life. Note: grab a sarong and weave thru one of the driftwood shelters on the beach for shade and have some freshly tapped coconuts on standby to restore strength after battling the surf. You will be glad to have them on hand before a quick followed by another bout with the surf. Back to casa V, dip in pool, shower, dinner in town, sleep, eat, rinse and repeat . Forget the rental car, shuttle to casa V and rent ATV for max value. Better yet grab a plane to Nosara. Namaste

Totally enjoyed staying here---lovely staff, comfortable and well equipped space, breakfast was a GREAT quality compared to many "included" in other places in my experience! Berny and Lily at the info desk at the sister hotel two doors down (Locanda I think it was called) were super helpful and showed classic Costa Rican friendliness, and integrity with the info about transports and activities in the zone. I would 100% recommend.

Super cool place a quick walk everywhere but very quiet and private. I was there with my kids and Hotel Macao seemed to attract like minded travelers- family minded and relaxed. The beach is phenomenal. The folks who work there were full of aloha and care- thanks Sophie- and I would highly recommend as a humble and comfortable place to get acclimated to Sámara. We had a little issue with the hot water and they went above and beyond to fix it asap. Cheers and gracias, hope to come back soon.

Great little spot. Definitely need a vehicle.

This was one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The location was so perfect and the hotel was super cute and had beautiful touches like painted tiles on the stairs. The only thing in need of an upgrade was the shower, which had water pressure so strong it kind of hurt lol. Otherwise, a fantastic stay. The free breakfast next door is a great touch and live music at night next door was also great. Definitely recommend!!

We’ll let me start off by saying WOW! This place is so beautiful and so peaceful. The staff was absolutely amazing and the restaurant was one of THE BEST restaurants we’ve been to out there. I took my wife here for her 45th birthday a couple weeks ago and yep I did good by picking this spot! They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are super clean! And the the shower; woah that shower! It’s like your showering under a small rainfall outside (but super private) . It was so much fun listening to all the howler monkeys and birds start their day. You are literally in nature here ❤️ We will definitely be coming back! This was a beautiful location with an even more beautiful view! Ivan was such an amazing host with a wonderful family and restaurant. We couldn’t have imagined a better stay. And the meals were out of this world! Delicious! We hope to return here one day and definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and amazing space. 10/10
