Kid-friendly holiday rentals in San Diego County

Hope was a wonderful friendly hostess, and we had a great stay while visiting family in the area. Bed was super comfortable and the coffee, tea and breakfast snacks were a nice touch. Everything we needed. We were too busy to use the adjoining deck much but it was lovely. Overall 5+++ star stay.

Nice place, clean, and bed is comfortable. Annette is very friendly and a great host. Place is close to many restaurants and 10 mins drive to La jolla beach.

Jodi and Thomas are both welcoming and loving individuals. I enjoyed my stay. They are exceptional people. The room is great and comfortable bed. They have thoughtful room and bathroom tools for the guest. I would highly recommend booking several stays with them. It was a phenomenal stay!

I would stay at Iain’s place again if I could! I felt right at home. It was almost like having a guest suite but inside the house. I had my own room and my own bathroom inside the room. It was a clean room and bathroom. This was exactly what I needed. (I’m happy I got to check out the beautiful backyard!)

great spot! spotless house, wonderfully streamline and flexible check in , safe and quiet location that's still super central to everything u could want to visit in San diego plus plentiful parking (!) that u dont have to pay for , also frankly a bargain for the area and quality , would Def recommend !👏👏

Great location Room was quiet The only issue was parking as there was not anything right close to house and I had a fractured foot so was hard to walk any distance.

Prime location, great amenities, place looks exactly like the photos, very very clean.. I have no qualms! Anna is very prompt with her instructions and responds quickly if needed. She goes above and beyond to satisfy and cater to her guests. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need for a short term stay-- all complimentary, as well. The check in and check out process was extremely easy and smooth. My only complaint (which is a personal preference and why I won't dock anything from her rating but figured it would be helpful for those who are light sleepers like me) is that the overhead window that is over the bed does not have any curtains. It makes sleeping soundly for light-sensitive sleepers like me a bit difficult! This was easily fixable by bringing my travel black out curtain. Just a friendly heads up for those alike. I will be on the lookout for her listing any time I'm back in SD!

We had a great time staying in a quaint space—perfect for two—that is also very centrally located in Oceanside. It's not walkable anywhere really, but in a short car ride, everything becomes accessible.

Perfect place to stay. The apartment was beautiful, the queen size bed was very comfortable. I needed some help opening the couch bed and Danny took care of it as soon as I asked. Everything looked clean and smelled clean too. We had plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. The kitchen was totally stocked with everything needed to cook a meal or eat carryout. There was cold water in the fridge waiting for us. An unexpected delight were the fresh flowers on the kitchen table, bedroom, and by the bathroom sink. We only had one inconvenience, the push button lock wouldn't lock. Rosina & Danny gave us a key to come & go with. The landscaping was meticulously kept up. Lush cactus, passion flower, & different succulents made the garden gorgeous. This made us feel like it was our own little piece of paradise. Rosina and Danny were SUPER hosts. I can not say enough good things about them!

Wow! This mountain home was the perfect escape for us and our two pups. The property was beautiful and well maintained. For a Moynihan retreat we were impressed to find no bugs/ants! The yard was large and fenced in for our dogs to roam free. Close by is Mt Laguna which is home to some excellent hiking.

Perfect base to attend conference, trolley stop just down the road which was only a few stops away from gaslight area and conference center. Bed was really comfortable, and whilst there was occasional street noise I found it quiet at night and slept really well. Rachel has decorated the apartment beautifully and having a kitchen is fabulous. The rooftop terrace is great to chill out and the washing line was really handy to hang out handwashed clothes, if you are lucky you might get a visit from the friendly cats next door. Rachel was really responsive to questions, great restaurants near, and a few small grocery stores.

This is hands down one of the best stays my husband and I have ever had! Not only was the place super easy to find, but it was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The host, Connie, was extremely kind and flexible with us when our check in was late. She made us feel right at home and the value of the stay far exceeds the price. I highly recommend their granny flat in La Mesa and hope I can come back again very soon!!

Such a great place to stay. Restaurants, beach, pier all within walking distance. Within the complex pools, gym, and game room. My kids especially loved feeding the koi fish in the pond. The condo was centrally located in the complex between the game room and the pool. Sitting on the balcony you can hear the waterfall and get a peek at the ocean through the trees. Will definitely stay again!

I had a great time staying at Thelma De La Paz’s place! The space was cozy, very clean, and exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay. Thelma was a wonderful host - polite, welcoming, and super responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful place to stay. My wife, my two children, and myself stayed here for three nights. Everything was a breeze, and we had everything that we needed. Mugs, glasses, plates, etc. were all provided. This is so conveniently located. You are within a three minute walk to Starbucks, a four minute walk to the beach, and a four minute walk to outstanding restaurants nearby. The area is safe, clean, and quiet. This place is ideal for a small family that is bringing only one car. If you bring more than one car, you have to park publicly on the side of the street, which is very inconvenient in my opinion. Geoff provided everything for us, including an extra twin size bed, sand toys for the beach, beach, chairs, and beach towels. We would love to stay with Jeff again.

We loved this apartment- it was beautiful and had everything we needed! It was even bigger than the photos make it seem. Gorgeous decor and beautifully maintained/cleaned. Lots of extras/amenities like kitchen items, toiletries, beach stuff, and linens. The host’s communication was very hospitable and helpful! Location and view is incredible - right on the beach and walkable to so many cute cafes, grocery stores and bars. Comes with a parking spot too, and pool and hot tub access! Would definitely book again!

Tony’s place was absolutely the best! It was so clean and the area was very quiet. There are several places you can walk to for a quick snack/lunch/dinner/coffee. Tony had a list of recommendations and they did not disappoint, we went to few of them and we loved them. Definitely a place to stay whenever we come to San Diego.

It was lovely and clean and perfect for a staycation. Only thing was the TV apps for streaming didn’t work and had to watch regular tv but everything else was fine. Definitely recommend!

I cannot say enough about Leslie and Kaylie. Absolutely everything was perfect. Every I was dotted and t was crossed. Communication with them was amazing. The home was beautiful. The location perfect. The food in the area was fabulous. If they will have me back I am totally in! Thank you Leslie and Kaylie for an amazing stay your kindness and your hospitality! Semper Fi!
