Excellent place to stay; friendly, welcoming and helpful. Flexible to our request. Sweet patios for reading. Recommended tour was super fun. Highly recommend!

I loved everything about Eden - the kind, warm delightful Enid who stayed up very late so I could check-in after flying from Australia, the delicious breakfast she served, the clean and comfortable room, the lush garden and refreshing pool. As an older woman travelling solo for a few days in a country where I do not speak the language, it was the perfect place to recover from jetlag. I felt safe and cared for. Carlos, the driver they recommended to me was an added bonus, as was meeting some of the other interesting guests.

Gorgeous place close to the beach and park entrance. We enjoyed our A/C room and the beautiful jungle surroundings. We visited three restaurants close by, a vegan spot for a yummy lunch, hornitos for the best empanadas ever!! And Jafa for ice cream. If you’re on the local bus don’t get off on the highway and pay 3000 colones for a taxi, there is a stop just 800 meters away from the Airbnb. If you’re on the bus that stops at the big station we’d recommend paying for a taxi as it’s a 30 minute walk.

Hotel Santo Tomás was lovely. A little boutique hotel oasis in the heart of San Jose and so close to all the things to do. Finding it was a bit tough but it was very dark and we were very jet lagged. In the daytime it would've been no problem at all. They have secure parking facilities, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and the attention to detail of the hotel itself was spectacular. So many places to sit and just relax in the beautiful weather. Thomas sat and chatted with us and other guests over breakfast and had all sorts of recommendations, tips, maps, places to go and things to do. He is an absolute gem and can guide you in all things Costa Rica.

A BEAUTIFUL oasis and amazing deal. We felt so welcomed by the staff working there, especially Amanda. The grounds were stunning with plans through, the pool was a treat! Breakfast was made fresh and delicious. We loved our private shower outside the room. The yoga studio was stunning and such a great class. Short walk to the beach and local restaurants. We'll be back!

Great place with easy beach access but worth knowing that you will have to wade through waste deep water to access the beach. However, it was 100% worth it! Staff was great and they are very helpful and kind.

Excellent place to visit San Jose, very safe and the neighborhood is super nice. The hotel has many historical gems that are worth stopping to read and see

Great tiny apartment, very well furnished with a little terrace. The host was very nice and responded quickly. We saw an agouti in the morning and some wildlife around the apartment !

Scott is an awesome host! The cabina was clean, confortable, and well appointed. The shower was nice and hot after a long day at the beach, which was within walking distance. The bed was super comfortable and ac worked great. I drank my coffee on the little patio and watched some birds. Would definitely stay again when in town. Scott helped me arrange a taxi to the Quepos airport, answered all my questions quickly, and have plenty of good restaurant recommendations. He went the extra mile to make sure my stay was amazing.

Dev’s place was absolutely breathtaking. You have quick access to the main coastal roads, but her private house overlooks the most beautiful rainforest/ocean full of all sorts of Costa Rican birds and animals. The pool was a perfect was to end the day. Felt incredibly safe in her gated property. The host is one of the sweetest ladies you’d ever meet and gave us much-appreciated recommendations and tips about the local area. Highly recommend!

The place is nice as described in the listing We had the one by the road so some noises of Clim and motorcycles that spoilt the jungle disconnection side a little. Bedroom is upstairs with steep stairs. Not accessible to everyone, especially when taking the suitcases up or down. Finally, a little refresh of the kitchen would be welcome.

Excellent location right on the beach (okay, it's 10 feet away, across the beach walk ...) and an excellent pool and lounge around area for when you're ready to rest. Easy to walk to the rest of the little town, too. The breakfast was outstandingly delicious. Watch the hot water in the rooms - it is really hot. A/C was quite nice. Staff was attentive, as well.

Absolutely a wonderful stay. David is terrific and offers advice on best places to eat and local spots. Super friendly caretakers at the house and extremely gorgeous views. The beach is absolutely breathtaking. Definitely want to stay here again.

This villa was perfect. Sheryl and dennys were so nice and helpful to us when we needed anything. The ocean view is magic, and you’ll see so much wildlife here- titi monkeys, macaws, different tropical birds. This hotel was quiet to us, not noisy in the slightest other than with sounds of nature. Tico breakfast was 10$ every morning and really good at the hotel.

Highly recommended, it is very centrally located and safe, the service is exceptional everything they offer is and more, it is a family burger, of part of our family we highly recommend it. They can go with eyes closed.👌

Eva is a great host and it was exactly as described. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife! 2 different families of monkeys call this home along with many many different birds and other animals! Highly recommend!!

Had a great stay at John Martin's place. He's a very responsive host and attentive. Thank you Christian as well for taking care of everything there in CR, great person. Everything is just as described and will definitely be back!

Cara's ecolodge is an amazing place to stay. You are immersed in nature and it's incredibly peaceful there. The waterfall and the river on the property are a huge plus and we enjoyed them both very much. The caretakers and Cara are super friendly and Doña Luz's food down the street was delicious. We wished we could have eaten her meals everyday of the trip! Couldn't recommend this place more!

Great home! Just bring seasonings if you are planning on cooking. I appreciate that everyone was so helpful and quick to fix the WiFi tissue I had for only a day…I was able to work and enjoy walking to town for what I need. Highly recommend!
