The perfect spot to take in the ever changing beauty of Haida Gwaii. Abalone Eyes House gave us a comfortable place to relax at the end of each day. The views of the mountains, inlet and town of Daajing Giids were breathtaking whether at sunrise or sunset. The place was clean, comfortable and spacious. We made most of our meals on site. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals, but you do need to remember to bring your own spices, condiments including cream and sugar, favourite coffee and teas, aluminum foil, storage bags and containers if making lunches to take with you. Mike is a wonderful host, so helpful and his dog Tender is very sweet. There is a staircase to the front door, but nothing even a couple of seniors couldn’t manage. The space is good for 2-4 people. Centrally located with easy access to and from the ferry terminal. When it’s time to leave, you will be wishing you had stayed longer.

I have stayed at a lot of B&B’s but never have I met a host more responsive and caring as Sherri. She brought us fresh cinnamon buns in the morning and fresh caught salmon to eat for dinner. The salmon was the best I have ever had and the cinnamon rolls were fantastic. She was helpful when we got conflicting information from Air B&B headquarters that told us two different addresses. I phoned Sherri and she straightened us right out. I found my bed very comfortable and the house very clean. The view from the living room was jaw dropping and the wifi worked well as did the tv. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming for a. Isit. It is close to restaurant and shopping - easy walking distance. Thank you Sherri - what a fabulous stay we had with you.

This could possibly be the best place to stay on Haida Gwaii. Centrally located, immaculate, clean, nicely decorated. We stayed a week and it was great to have a roomy place to go when it rained. And it rained every day, but it was usually dry and even sunny during the late afternoon. The deck is so big. Unfortunately the daytime temperature hardly went above 50, so we couldn't eat outside, but for those of you considering a warmer time of year, it would be a great place to relax, eat, and drink. The grill is clean and big and heats up fast. We grilled every dinner and ate indoors. Tim recommended Tom for local fish. The halibut and salmon was really good. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed, including seasoning and other condiments. This is close to the Co-op, the Haida Heritage Center and Ferry Landing. Tim is a great communicator. We had a really good time in Haida Gwaii.

What a lovely little home. So tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything you would need. A cozy comfortable place with easy access to the community and to surrounding hikes. Directly across from a pretty beach that is great for walking. Would definitely recommend 😊
