I had a lovely stay at Lauren's home. As other reviewers have noted, it is such a peaceful, warm place in the middle of the city, with easy uber/car access to everything that you need (I rarely waited more than 2-3 minutes for an uber). The garden area is so peaceful, the home is very well equipped, and Lauren is very responsive and helpful.

We spent several weeks at Lisa’s place and loved every moment. Lisa was super communicative and always on hand if we had a question. We liked being situated in Melville which is easily walkable and has lots of unique places to visit, especially the cafes on 7th street, 27 Boxes and morning walks up on the Koppies which are a must if staying in the area. Thanks again Lisa for being a great host, we hope to stay again!

We had the pleasure of staying at Stanley & Alison's cottage for a long stay, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Our cat, Meadow, was warmly welcomed, which meant so much to us. The cottage is nestled among stunning trees and abundant wildlife, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Its location is incredibly convenient—close to Melrose Arch, Rosebank Mall, Norwood Mall, and just about anything else we needed. The cottage itself is spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need in the kitchen, bathroom, and for linens. The weekly visits from the friendly cleaner and helpful gardener were a lovely bonus and added to the ease of our stay. Stanley & Alison were excellent hosts, and we truly loved every moment of our time here. We can’t recommend this cottage enough to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-situated retreat. Tanya was warm and hospitable, and kindly allowed us to check in earlier even though the accommodation was still being prepared for us. Piping hot showers, comfortable beds and tea/coffee station with delicious rusks all helped make our stay great and I would definitely stay with Tanya and Niels again.

Jeremy and Janet were absolutely wonderful hosts who welcomed both me and my pup with open arms. They're genuinely lovely people - the kind you could chat with for hours about anything and everything. Their helper Kingsley was fantastic too, always making sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is stunning - gorgeous architecture with beautiful paintings throughout that honestly made me feel like I was staying in some charming European home. The neighborhood felt really safe as well. I parked on the street every day without any worries and enjoyed walking around the area regularly. Overall, this was such a great experience with truly exceptional hosts. I'd recommend Jeremy and Janet to anyone looking for a special place to stay - you won't be disappointed!

The peaceful, upmarket neighborhood offered the perfect escape, and yet I was always just a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Sandton and Johannesburg’s vibrant city life. What made this experience so memorable, though, was the hosts and staff. Attention to detail, kindness, and dedication to making sure I had everything I needed truly set this place apart. It felt like a place where every guest is not just accommodated, but cared for. It’s rare to feel such a sense of belonging when staying away from home, but I truly did here. I’ve already reserved this amazing home away from home for 2 more stays in 2025.

Michael is very committed, friendly, extremely helpful and easily accessible! The house offers plenty of space for a large group to enjoy and relax. The garden, the Braai area, is very inviting for hours. The decor throughout the house leaves nothing to be desired, everything is in impeccable condition, the rooms are very spacious, it just has plenty of space! The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you need for cooking, baking, sizzling! The house has twice a week, on request more, a lady who takes care of the rooms, cleanliness and care of the house. She is a very hearty and lovely person, always happy to help out. The gardeners are very committed, keep the beautiful garden area very clean and very well maintained. In short: a little paradise. For us as golfers all the more because the house allows the view of the Parkview GC...always exciting to watch other golfers interpret the game for themselves.

I stayed in this apartment for a month, and the experience was simply excellent. The place is ideally located, fully equipped, and offers remarkable comfort. The hosts were very welcoming and available throughout my stay. Worth noting: the photos don't do justice to the actual quality of the apartment, it's even better in person! I highly recommend it.

This cottage is an absolutely lovely place to stay. Cosy, well furnished, with a private garden to sit and enjoy some quiet time among the beautiful tree ferns. We only stayed a night on our way transiting through Joburg but found the commute of abt 30 mins to OR Tambo perfectly manageable. very safe within a boom gated community and close to the shops at Four Ways amd Design Quarter. Quality bed linen, a jacuzzi style bath, and lovely welcoming selection of complimentary snacks were much appreciated. Deirdre and her husband welcomed us and made us and showed us around, making us feel instantly at home. we'll definitely be back! Thank you

My family and I had a wonderful time at Karen’s house. It was a wonderful place to stay at and reconnect with our family. There were enough rooms and a lot of sitting areas indoors and outdoors to accommodate a large family. Also Karen was a very helpful and accommodating host. When we needed anything she was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Fantastic pace and matched everything we were looking for plus more. The hosts are superb and communicate really well. I am really impressed and I will definitely come back when it’s warmer. Thank you for making our stay pleasant.

We loved staying here! The host are hospitable and very friendly. They have a bag in the garage, that my husband loved. If I would say the place needs something, it would be a heated blanket. Other than that, the gas heater worked fine in the living room area.

The place is full of greenery and peaceful in a secure location, even enjoyed my evening walk. We enjoyed our stay and it is also quiet place to work from home. Entire house was nicely and cleanly maintained. Peter is always there whenever we asked for any help or assistance. Would love to stay again.
