Holiday houses in Sandy Beach

Truly a great apartment! Fully matched the listing. It is sparkling clean and everything has been thought of: tea, coffee, washing machine, you name it. It is in a quiet area, but at the bottom of the mountain there is a nice restaurant to enjoy the sunset. We had to mess with the jacuzzi for a while: it went on every hour in the middle of the night, but the host responded very quickly and was able to explain to us how we could solve this. We had a wonderful stay, I would recommend it to everyone.

Oh my goodness - do yourself a favor and stay here!! Not only will you meet actual angels on earth that run it, but you’ll have magnificent sea views and a quick drive from Chania. The restaurant is absolutely amazing (breakfast, lunch, dinner.. everything) and the hosts went above for us when we had quite a few mishaps occur (not room related!!). We will be back!!

This is one of those places you'll never forget. Wow wow wow! The view is really amazing; in the green, among the rocks overlooking the sea. There is no one around and you really have a cottage to yourself and that on a very nice piece of Crete. It is smart to do groceries on the way out (in the kitchen you will find everything for cooking and there is a barbecue), because a large supermarket is almost half an hour away and the tavern in the village is top for during the day, but in the evening you don't want to take that dark route on loose stones (that road takes some getting used to, but to do). Are you looking for a few days to check out completely? Then this is really the place! We will definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our stay at Phy-Sea villa! Marianna was a great host who greeted us with a tray of fruit and cheese upon checking in and provided us with several wonderful dining and activity recommendations. The place itself is peaceful and close to Chania while feeling like you are getting away. Though there are many beaches close by, we also liked having our own pool. Looking forward to coming back!

Loved our stay in this remote villa. Amazing views with sunsets from the pool. Beds were very comfortable with quality linens and towels. Nice having the pool heated! House is remote so bring all the food needed. Rather close to Elifonisi beach which was well worth the 20 minute drive. Driving is not for the faint of heart of heart. Many tavernas in the area within 15 minutes drive. Would stay again. Thank you Theoni!

We stayed for 1 week (4adults and 4 kids) having been to Crete a number of times before. The villa was up in the hills (you need to hire a car to get anywhere and driving on the small lanes is not for the faint hearted) but this gave us the beautiful views over the bay and a lovely sea breeze. The house was immaculate with all the essentials and mod cons including chilled filtered water from the fridge. The ice machine didn’t work so one of the team popped around with a big bag of ice the next day which we used instead. We also experienced a sandstorm (happens about once a year) with Saharan sand being deposited on everything. The cleaners were around the next morning and the pool was cleaned beautifully. The pool itself was heated to a lovely temperature so the kids could enjoy it all day and the hot tub was even warmer so the perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks. We used the outdoor built in barbecue and sat outside for dinners (great views). Karolina was very responsive! Recommend!

This was one of our favorite stays ever. The place and surroundings are even better in person. The hills and mountains, along with the peaceful quiet, are an enchanting respite. The hosts were very attentive as well, offering great advice and recommendations beforehand and throughout the stay. They were always helpful in answering questions. Aside from the surrounding scenery, the night offers a dense starry sky unlike any we’ve seen before. It was a relaxing way to end the day, to sit or lay down and enjoy the star gazing. As per location, it is very close to Paleochora, the adjacent town, being only less than ten minutes away by car. With other beach options being 15 minutes way. You can also pick some oranges from the trees a short walk downhill, which we enjoyed in the mornings with a freshly squeezed orange juice. If you book the stay, please give a petting to the cats at the place: Otto, Vilma, and Moscata. They made the place even more homey and special. :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We had a lovely stay at Nik's beautiful house. Nik was fantastic before and during our stay, giving us very clear instructions and lots of advice and suggestions to make the most of our stay. Loved the house, absolutely stunning, as well as the area. It's the perfect combination of countryside and seaside. There are beautiful beaches within easy reach as well as villages and outstanding roads which make for beautiful drives. Thanks again Nik and hopefully see you again in the future (we'd love to come back!).
