Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Newly built apartment building with the absolute best location on the longest lake bath in the Nordic countries and one of Sweden's finest beaches. With promenades, cafes and restaurants, it's a place that has something for everyone. The shallow, clean water is sheltered in a bay perfect for surfing and kayaking. Close to padel courts, tennis courts, miniature golf. No pets are allowed. Sheets/towels are included, but can be rented for 100 SEK/person. Events/parties are not allowed. Water pipes/smoking not allowed!

Cozy cottage near National Park

Take a break and unwind in this peaceful oasis. Nice lake view from the cottage and about 300 meters to swimming and barbecue area by the lake. Cosy cabin only 10 minutes by car from the famous Tivedens National Park. Amazing view to lake Unden, the largest fresh water lake in Tived. Fantastic to swim in when it's warm in the summer. Amazing sunsets and a very peaceful atmosphere. Romantic. The area straight down from the cabin by the water doesn't belong to the property but welcomes respectful visitors.

Lovely country house

Welcome to Snickargården in scenic Stora Mosshult, Tiveden! Here you rent a charming newly renovated house built in 1886 with space for up to 8 guests. In the house there are all the amenities from our time but with saved details from the past. Hiking trails and swimming lake are within walking distance. Tiveden's sights are close by and can be reached by bicycle or car. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets, as many of our guests are fur allergic.

Small and cosy cottage in Tiveden

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. A personal little cottage with four beds that I live in alternately and thus I share my home with you dear guest. Close to Undens clear water with possibility for swimming. The national park is just over 1 mile away with great hiking, maybe a trip to Tiveden's general store about 2.5 km away, open Fri, Sat & Sun for good food and drink. Many opportunities for experiences around beautiful Tiveden, or just relax with a book in silence.

Cottage with luxury, bird chirping and lovely nature

Gammelgården is located 5 km north of Finspång. The cottage is newly built in old style with moon windows, crystal chandelier and luxurious bedding. Lake view and boardwalk down to Bysjön, we have a small rowboat for guests. Loans of bicycles for lovely bike rides and loans of golf clubs, Finspång has 27 hole course with pay and play. We (Ingrid and Bill and the cats Tussilago and Pantufa )live on the farm in an old house from the 1750s with separate entrance and parking.

Warm welcome to our small cosy house in Tiveden located in the village of Sannerud. The cottage has 2 bedrooms and a kitchen with bathroom. Here you have a perfect location in the village where you can eat and drink well at Lanthandel and restaurant Luripompa which is a 10 minute walk from our house. You also have Tiveden National Park a 15-minute drive close by. Adjacent to the house, there are several of Tiveden's bike and hiking trails. Bath is 15 minutes walk close by.

At Ängalyckan, you live in your own small cabin in the middle of the wonderful area of Tiveden, close to both Tiveden National Park, beautiful lakes, hiking trails, bike routes and more. The accommodation has two beds and a sofa bed for two. It also features a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, etc. In a separate building there is a shower and toilet which are sometimes shared with others.

The house is located in a small neighbourhood area, there is also a newly built loft in a building next to the lake house which will be available to rent as well. The loft has space for 2 people, with access to a double bed, without toilet and water. This will accessible in the original lake house. We do not accept animals in the house.

Beautifully situated cabin by the lake Unden in Tiveden

In this cottage with amazing views of Lake Unden you will have a nice stay. It is about 700 meters to the central community. There is Tiveden's country shop with a restaurant part. In summer there is also the outdoor dining area Luripompa. In Tiveden there are many fantastic hiking trails. It has bike trails, riding trails as well as the possibility of very nice paddling.

Surroundedby the discreet elks, your only neighbors, you will sleep in a small perfectly equipped cottage with views of a huge lake where the sky and clouds are reflected. The sunset is breathtaking. Wonderful little cottage right next to the lake with its own jetty. We stayed here to drive the girls' water, a smooth bike ride next to Motala and the starting line. The cottage had everything we needed and Helene has been helpful with everything that was needed.

We spent a few days at Lisa's lovely house and felt at home right away. The house is cozy with a lovely garden. It's wonderfully quiet and undisturbed. We went down to Lake Unden and ate at a cozy restaurant in the open that had the most delicious pizzas. We didn't want to travel again at all and very much hope to return. The place is highly recommended.

We felt at home and Tanja greeted us warmly. We enjoyed the peace and quiet in the great outdoors. The kitchen was super equipped with everything you need and a view of the lake. The cottage was very cozy and has real Swedish charm!There were shopping facilities in Tibro, about a quarter of an hour away. We did a lot of hiking and can highly recommend Tiveden National Park. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Tanja!!!
