Villa holiday rentals in São Miguel Island

Sehr, sehr tolles Haus, nicht mehr ganz neu und dadurch einige Alterserscheinungen, aber nichts Gravierendes. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Die Besitzerin Ana war persönlich vor Ort, als wir ankamen. Sie hatte jede Menge frische Lebensmittel eingekauft und zu unserer Ankunft am Abend eine sehr gute Suppe gekocht. Ana ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin, wir fühlten uns sofort herzlich willkommen. Sie hat uns alle Dinge, die wir wissen mussten, im Haus gezeigt. Da es bei unserem Aufenthalt relativ kühl und windig auf den Azoren war, schätzten wir den Kaminofen im Haus besonders. Holz war auch ausreichend da. Der Ort Mosteiros ist sehr schön und die Brandung in den Klippen direkt vor dem Haus ist außergewöhnlich und lässt sich von der Couch aus beobachten. Ein sehr gutes lokales Restaurant mit exzellentem Fischangebot ist fußläufig erreichbar.

Amaaaazing place! The house is huge, fully equipped with everything you may need and more! The views are one of a kind: mountains, ocean, green everywhere. Wake up to the sound of birds, beautiful evenings watching the sunset. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Communication was on point, friendly and fast. Everything exceeded our expectation. Best value for money in all Azores.

We are so sad to leave this beautiful place! The house’s description is very accurate to the T: perfect location- you will be able to explore the island easily, 4 equally sized bedrooms with a pullout as an extra, kitchen with all the utensils, pots, glasses, ect. Our favorite part was the rooftop deck with sunrises and sunrises! The host graciously made the reservations for local restaurants and recommended some extra activities that we didn’t include in our original plans. The communication was easy - usually reply came in 30 min. We would happily recommend this place to our friends and hopefully come back soon. Note: the house has lots of stairs that can create problems for people with limited mobility. It was not an issue for us but it might be an issue for some.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment is spacious (which was great for our little daughter) und bright. It had everything that we needed (even a chair for our daughter) and we felt welcomed from the first moment. We really liked the way it was decorated. The location is ideal for exploring the whole island and the next supermarket and restaurant is right around the corner. Thank you Teresa for your fast answers and your help! Lovely layout, suited our needs well. Easy walk to the trail along the ocean and very close to restaurants and bars. We loved the local flavour of the neighbourhood. A short drive/bus to Ponta Delgada. 15-20 to many adventure spots. We would highly recommend this place.

Pedro and his family are super hosts. The home was fantastic and everything was just perfect. A fantastic stay enjoyed by all 8 of us.

João's place was a great home base for our Azores adventure. It's a nice central location on the island, and a beautiful house and area. The whole place was spotless and the kitchen was great for making breakfast and coffee. There is a small grocery store within walking distance, but otherwise a car is required for the area so thankfully parking was very easy. Highly recommended!

Villa très spacieuse et avec une vue imprenable sur l’océan, nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances à 6, les lits sont très confortables, nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Pour ceux qui sont sensibles à la lumière du jour, n’oubliez pas de prendre un masque de nuit car pour l’instant les rideaux ne sont pas très occultants. Merci à Mauro et Ana pour le logement et la communication durant le séjour.

A perfect space for two couples to enjoy a comfortable space and a good central location on the island to experience and explore. We enjoyed relaxed evenings in the hot tub! Joao was a lovely and responsive host and went the extra mile for us to be comfortable.

...Very pleased with Vila Ana....beautiful home with a great kitchen. Location is perfect with a cafe and small grocery store next door. More than met our expectations. Clean and roomy common areas. Everything you could want or need. Felt like a home. Outdoor area is beautiful and the convenience of having a driveway and parking area makes a big difference. This property is in a very nice area and is thoughtfully taken care of and equipped. I would only recommend one thing.....to add an American style drip coffee maker for those who don't know how to work a French press. Otherwise, it's one of the nicest places I have stayed at....in all my travels.

Traveling as a family of 5 and our stay could not have been more perfect! Definitely one of our favorite Airbnbs. We loved the location, felt safe, private yet easily accessible to everything- perfect spot on the island to explore- rental car a must. Lagoa is a cute little town with great nearby restaurants and cafes. The beds were very comfortable, spacious layout, great washer/ dryer and we felt like we were staying in a mini castle! It’s hard to describe the beauty of the views from the terraces but drinking tea in the morning and sitting outside was the best way to start each day and a feeling I hope stays with me. Maria left delicious treats that were very much appreciated on arrival. We will think back fondly on our trip to Sao Miguel and are grateful we had the opportunity to stay here! We will never forget it and hope to return one day!

If I could give six stars I would. Here's why: The house is modern, airy, well-appointed, bright and stylishly decorated. All fixtures functioned flawlessly and we never wanted for appliances, supplies or a utensil. The floor to ceiling windows of the main floor offered all-day views of the stunning ocean and countryside. The location can't be beat, with easy walking to the swimming pools, markets, and the numerous excellent restaurants in town. Despite its centrality, it felt private, safe, and peaceful. Plus, being central on the island, no attraction was ever far away. But the most appealing part of the experience was the graciousness of our host Pedro. Always ready with an answer, suggestion, and willing to help with whatever was asked. He communicated quickly and kindly, and as we sensed from pretty much all of the native Azoreans we met, truly loved Sao Miguel and wanted to share it with us. Could not ask for a better experience. Look forward to coming back!

A estadia foi ótima. O espaço estava limpo e exatamente como descrito. Bem abastecido com tudo o que é necessário para passar uns belos dias em família. Zona muito calma e tranquila e a poucos minutos de Ponta Delgada. A vista é maravilhosa. Recomendo

Excellent house for our extended family group of 8. The pool is not heated so it’s a bit cold, but the backyard is very peaceful and the house is well equipped and a great home base to explore the island. It’s right outside Ponta Delgada and easy to pop into town. Highly recommend.

Great location and a beautiful home. It did have more stairs than we anticipated but was not an issue as two bedrooms are on the entry floor and other three on a level down. Living, dining and kitchen are on the lower third level. The pool did need to be cleaned. The Polaris stopped working before it cleaned the pool but was not of consequence since the weather was still too cool really for swimming. Be aware the hot tub is an inflatable and you’d really only have space for two but it’s on a great deck with nice view to the ocean. There were no restaurants really in walking distance but they are a short drive away and there are many great ones down by the water with beautiful settings. It was very nice to have clothes detergent and dryer sheets in the laundry area. We really appreciated that.

We had a large family stay at the house, 8 adults and 4 children. There was another bedroom with 2 double beds for the kids and 4 separate bedrooms with queen sized mattresses. Our stay overall was great. The host was great and location/view of the home was great. There were some things that can be improved. As a large family we could not eat together because the dining table only had 6 chairs. Our first night, we barely had towels. I contacted the host the next morning and he brought 8 more towels that day. The kitchen needs some more dishes like bowls for cereal and mugs. There were only 3 mugs. The light inside the pool did not work and probably the most frustrating was the lights outside work on a timer. We came home around midnight most days, and it was completely dark with no way of turning the lights on. It would be nice to lounge outside but not possible. I recommend increasing that time to 3am when guests are staying. Overall great stay, just needs some tweaks. Tiago was great

This place was amazing! Super cozy and full of nice little touches — you can feel it was made with love. The beds were really comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Making pizza in the oven was a highlight! The host was super friendly and helpful, always easy to reach and made check-in simple. The garden is lovely and full of plants — very relaxing. The location is perfect, probably the best on the island! It’s really quiet and beautiful. We loved biking around the lakes nearby — such a nice experience. Thanks a lot, it was one of the best stays for me and my friends. Totally recommend!

The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. Great place location was easy to get everywhere

What a beautiful place to stay. Great location for exploring the rest of the island. We really appreciated the welcome basket, the comfy beds and the great shower Just a few minutes walk from the ocean. I was the only one in our group who was brave enough to get into the pool (not heated) but we were there during a cloudy time. that was not super warm. it would be totally refreshing in the summer!

Gyönyörű kilátás minden irányba, szuper naplementék, rendezett kert, kényelmes ágy, jól felszerelt konyha, nyugalom és béke. Carlos gyorsan és udvariasan válaszolt minden kérdésünkre. Szomszédban aranyos tehenek legelésznek. Egyedül a hangyák voltak kicsit zavarók a házban, de minden ételt a hűtőben tároltunk, így kordában tartottuk őket. Köszönjük szépen!

Such an amazing place to stay, very private with stunning views. The house is gorgeous!

Super piscine, maison propre, confortable et bien équipée , hôte très réactif et attentionné. Au centre de l’ile, environ 45 minutes de voiture vers l’est ou l’ouest pour tout voir. Près de Ponte Delgada. Plage de Capelas a 3km. Il faut malheureusement utiliser la voiture a chaque sortie.

Carlos’s place was as described. It was very clean and had all the necessities. Carlos was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions I had. It was fairly easy to locate his family home with GPS. It was approximately 1 hour from Ponta Delgada. The little town was quaint and authentic. I would love to visit again.
