Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Saugatuck Township

We loved our second visit with friends to Peaceful Journey near Saugatuck and Douglas. The location is perfect for traveling north and south. Ann is a wonderful host with flexibility, good communication and even humor. We enjoyed the ample indoor space, cooking indoor and outdoor, as well as relaxing on the patio with a gas fire pit in the evening. She goes the extra mile to assure her guests have what they need.

Lisa is a top notch hostess! We mistakenly arrived a day early! I know, how is that even possible, right? 😂 We made a mistake lol! We were in town to celebrate of 5th wedding anniversary. Lisa was so sweet! She tried to help us find a place to stay nearby. The home was very clean and accommodating. Great location. We even walked a little over a mile to town to have ice cream. 🍨Our pups loved being able to romp and play in the yard. Lisa was very responsive during our entire stay. We usually come to Holland a couple of times a year and will definitely try to stay at Tulip Cottage during future visits. Thank you Lisa for making our stay a beautiful one. Blessings to you! Diane’s place was incredible and was a perfect place for us to stay while attending our daughter’s wedding. The place was clean, quiet and had everything we needed for a relaxing time after the wedding. We love the holland area and enjoy the nearby beaches and local restaurants. Definitely plan on staying again!

Absolutely beautiful quaint cabin in Saugatuck! Great for couples, nice and private and close to downtown. Truly an amazing spot!

Place was great for what we needed. Saw a concert downtown Grand Rapids one night which was about a 10 min uber ride. Super easy and close. Neighborhood seemed older but felt safe the entire stay. Could tell people took pride in their gardening and well landscaped yard just like the backyard at this house. Thought backyard was completely fenced in though when I first booked months ago. One side was open to a beautiful huge open lot. Contacted the host and they were okay with us putting up a temporary fence to close in the yard for our dogs we were traveling with. Ended up getting that at Home Depot which was also very close to the house. Worked great for our dogs to run around and play while we sat in the sun and enjoyed the beautiful backyard. It was amazing. Felt right at home.

This was a beautifully decorated home, it had everything you would need for a lovely stay. It was very close and walkable to both downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. Lake Michigan is also nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Lisa was a great host. She always kept in contact. Kept communication. Always check to see if we needed anything. Towels were provided blankets even a small kitchen. Suggested good sceneries. Let’s not forget the most valuable thing the hot tub. It was so wonderful very relaxing overall was a great stay.

This is our 3rd year in a row to come for an extended Labor Day weekend and bring our kids and/or grandkids. We love the setting. The pool is perfect for the younger kids and the adults appreciate the beauty of all the surroundings, including at poolside. If we could change anything at all we would add another bedroom as we can't quite get all of our extended family here at one time. That said, we would like to return for a 4th year at Labor Day weekend time next year. The combination of beauty, privacy, amenities, condition (always in great shape!), and proximity to lovely South Haven can hardly be beat!

We lost electricity for two days due to a storm, and Matt was kind enough to refund our money for those days even though, of course, he had no control over that. We’ll be back!

Absolutely amazing host and home! Patricia made us feel welcome from the start and her home was perfect for our stay. Amazing location right in the heart of downtown. Highly recommend!

Lovely home, many well thought out perks like fans in upstairs rooms and beach toys for kids! Info said it was an easy short walk to beach so I spent a whole lot more than I usually would. With children it would not be pleasant and is really not a short walk (and is on a semi busy road) & beach is down a whole lot of steps. BUT there are parking spaces so it was fine. Within the house, the steps are fairly steep at parts & there are 2?big ones going into house &!these were hard for my 70 year old mom w knee issues. So if person reading reviews is one of those people, this might not be THE place. That being said, it is very short walk to community pool & host is very responsive & house is beautiful! My mom mostly stayed within first floor including an awesome bed/bath on ground floor. There are games (although I didn’t love the Ouija board 🫣😂) . This would be a great place for multiple family / friends to split cost ;) Its very beautiful & community pool & hot tub are great!

My wife and I came for our 5th wedding anniversary. The stay was fantastic and they were extremely responsive with even the littlest of things.

We had an amazing stay to celebrate a milestone birthday with my extended family! The house comfortably fit 4 families and a labradoodle and was excellent for the 5 kiddos. The heated pool and hot tub were fantastic for cooler than expected temperatures Memorial Day weekend and kept the kids entertained. We opted to cook and grill at the house and had everything we needed. The house is also super close to the beautiful New Buffalo beach. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s house! It was clean, great location & cozy! We especially loved the automatic pool cover so we could actually relax on vacation with our little ones running around. I also loved the three separate areas outside (pool, fire pit, grassy area). The separate areas offered a nice change of scenery to break up the day without leaving the house. I also loved that it’s a spacious ranch style house, so was easy to keep eyes on the kids. Jennifer was a wonderful & accommodating host & can’t wait to get back to her house soon! Thanks for having us!

This place was exactly as the photos and more! Great location, parking right outside and thought of everything on the inside. 10/10 would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The kitchen was well stocked (loved the fresh eggs!) and the bathroom was so nice- we loved the heated floors. The bed was super comfy and we loved that the place was surrounded by trees. Was a perfect place for an anniversary getaway/babymoon.

Summerhouse Lavender Farms was the perfect place for my son's wedding. The whole experience was easy and everything went off without a hitch. The Airbnb was very nice, spacious and the decor was so unique. The grounds were stunning and made for the perfect backdrop for their outdoor wedding. So much was included in the cost that we felt like we got a great deal and the owner was very responsive to messages and super nice.

Many Airbnb spots have plenty of beds but no place to sit, a lack of dining chairs commensurate to the number of beds etc not this place. We comfortably had meals inside and outside the entire time tons of relaxation space the deck off the main bedroom is perfect. All the design touches copper pans etc were awesome; this is a thoughtful host with excellent taste who thinks of it all. This is really truly right in town. I am noise sensitive and it didn't bother me at all but if you are a person who wants to hear no peeps ever just know that you abut an active alley.

Perfect private cabin in the woods. It is far enough from downtown Saugatuck to avoid traffic but close enough that we could easily run back to relieve the dog when needed. About 7 minutes from downtown Saugatuck. There were so many amenities we didn't get to use (ran out of time), but were super nice to see like the fire pit and the sauna. It is super private and very well hidden. Maybe too well hidden. My only gripe regarding our stay was the initial finding of the driveway LOL. It looks more like a trail and it is RIGHT after the guardrail nearby. But hey, you can guarantee no one will stumble upon your private stay. The interior of this studio cabin was gorgeous and super clean. Overall, we ran out of time to explore all of Saugatuck and we will definitely be using this place again the next time we visit.

Joanna’s place was the perfect getaway for our family. It was clean, had amenities for our 1 year old son and was peaceful and quiet. Additionally, she provided great info about the nearby town to include restaurants, activities, shops, etc. I would highly recommend staying at her place!

John and Valentino have a beautiful home that is welcoming and comfortable. Their yard is large and ready for company. The fire pit is perfectly placed, the bbq makes it easy to cook for a crowd. And if it is a crowd you’re cooking for, the weather need not matter… the two kitchens allow for lots of cooking no matter the time of year. Rarely do I find a comfortable bed when I travel, but John and Valentino have it. Downtown was a few minutes drive away. There is a large playground right downtown which had tons of kids playing! With lots of shopping and restaurant options, cooking is not required. Definitely stop by the Farmhouse Deli in Douglas. The home felt comfortable and also elegant. We were so pleased to stay with them and hope to do so again.
