We had an incredibly peaceful and relaxing stay at this beautiful cottage on the farm. The setting was idyllic surrounded by open fields and the sounds of nature. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We especially appreciated the personal touches (e.g fresh flowers) and how welcoming the host (Mike) was. Warm, responsive and respectful of privacy. It was the perfect getaway to disconnect, unwind and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for tranquility and a taste of countryside living.

From the moment we arrived we knew we were in HIDDEN GEM PARADISE. Dee’s words in the brochure are beautiful and guide you through the history the beauty the peace and the romance. We have never left a weekend getaway SO RELAXED!!! Solar house with an amazing “Donkie” experience chucked in when the sun wouldn’t shine. Just follow the friendly instructions. The place has everything that you need. And what a beautiful layout….braai in the bush under the stars only 3h from Joburg (4h if you grab a lunch or visit the awesome Padstals on Bambi pass for last minute groceries and treats.)The Bokoni history and ruins is an added special touch. Plenty to visit and do and we will be back! Again and again and again! Fantastic for couples private retreat and family getaways! The hikes are awesome and there is plenty to do and visit in the area. You can’t stop talking about Dees Place! Otherwise…… JUST RELAX! We saw a PARADISE FLYCATCHER!!! Did I mention the peace?!?!
