This is a renovated cottage located in a lovely rural area in North Mayo, it is just a few miles outside Ballycastle town on the wild Atlantic coast. The views of the sea are spectacular and the cottage provides a space to relax in after a day sightseeing the local area (you will need a car to get around). The cottage is on a working farm but other than the sound of sheep there will be nothing to disturb the peace and quiet you will experience in this beautiful cottage.

We had a wonderful stay in the Hideaway for two days. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and check in was really easy! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was of superior quality. Various supplies were provided eg. Milk, bread, eggs, butter, cereal, yogurts, fruit bowl etc. Also great, location… 5 minute walk from the town centre! We would definitely stay here again 😊

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. It was spotless, cozy, and even more spacious than the photos suggest. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and I loved the proper strong hairdryer—ladies, you’ll get it! It was the perfect base for exploring County Mayo, with a lovely local pub just 5 minutes away. We’d happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

We spent 5 nights in Rory's cottage and loved it. We felt right at home. The cottage is cozy, spacious and bright. It is surrounded by nature and is located in a very quiet and pleasant setting. Rory and Breda provided everything you need to cook and stay in the comfort of home: nothing was missing! and the view is breathtaking. Upon our arrival, Breda had fresh milk and scones ready for us: not everyone does that and we were very pleased to find them. Their local recommendations were very helpful. It was a very nice experience and we will definitely be back!

Our stay at River Cottage felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like stepping into Anna and Luke’s thoughtfully curated retreat. Nestled beside a usually gentle stream, the cottage offered a rare kind of quiet. We found ourselves unwinding in ways we hadn’t expected. As if the place itself were helping us silence the usual rush of thoughts. The sauna and cold plunge, discreetly positioned at the water’s edge, added a touch of simple luxury. They blended seamlessly into the natural surroundings rather than standing out as flashy extras, even when lit up at night. We explored the surrounding area by car and found Sligo to be the perfect complement to the cottage’s peaceful seclusion. My wife and I already feel drawn back to this little slice of Ireland - eager for another chance to recharge in the calm that Anna and Luke have created. We’re also looking forward to seeing their next ideas come to life.

Had a wonderful stays at Mary’s house, the location was perfect for us, short walk into the local village and the house was perfect for our family with lots of places for people to relax. Bedrooms were all a really good size as were the bathrooms. Wifi was great, lots of games for the children to play with and they loved the basketball and ring. Looking forward to returning!

We had a quick visit (just 1 night) but John's place served as a great resting place. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with fresh towels, great kitchen/dining space and nice shower. Welcome basket was an added bonus. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs with the main bedroom accessed through the first bedroom. John was very responsive and helpful.
