Shanakeever Farm offers the perfect base to reach all local attractions for eg: Kylemore Abbey & National Park and a 4 minute drive to Clifden town with Restaurants, Boutiques, Supermarkets and Pubs.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
