Lake house holiday rentals in Shasta Lake

Loris, place is beyond amazing! I’ve stayed at plenty of Air B&B’s but this one stood out by far! From the prestine home to the beautifull outdoors and nature it is truely a breathtaking view and stay. The lake, the hot tub, nature, cleanliness, the kitches, the amenities , and everything in between make Lori’s place a true and unbelievable experience! This was an amazing family trip. The house is right on the lake and there were deer every morning. Lori was very helpful and had everything laid out for us.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house in the Redding area! The home is extremely well kept—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully maintained. It’s perfect for multiple families or anyone traveling with kids, especially with the private guest suite downstairs that offers plenty of space and separation. The hosts were incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. We had a minor delay checking out, and they were very understanding and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. One helpful note for future guests: there are two locations with the same address nearby, so be sure to double-check your GPS and map to the correct one before arrival! Overall, we highly recommend this lake house. It was peaceful, roomy, and hosted by genuinely kind people—everything you’d want for a relaxing getaway!

Great place. Would have preferred to have better understanding of the difficulties to access the place. However, the host was very nice. All you gotta do is spend a great deal of time reading a massive book with instructions and you will be fine.

This house was amazing, one of the best Airbnb's I've stayed at. It had everything you could possibly want in a lakeside getaway. The space and layout was perfect for two families of for with young kids. Given all the amenities included, it was a great value and super easy to relax and enjoy the location. Lori was a great host too, always responsive and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed the well equipped deck for all dinners and was able to stay warm on cooler nights with the heat lamps. The hot tub was a great location, away from other houses; it was also very clean. Kitchen was fully equipped and well stocked (had the sharpest knives!) I appreciated all the little details that made the house amazing...from custom local artwork to the fully loaded welcome basket. We will be back again!

Adam represented the home very accurately. Great house, nice improvements, and one of the few places on the water at Lake Shasta. The only thing that would really make it better would be if the house came with a dock for the boat. However, the boat launch is very close. Recommended! JP

We had so so so much fun at the Shasta Retreat. The home was specious and perfect for our group. We loved the oversized living room & dinning area. Shasta is a beautiful area very peaceful, we saw a deer twice on the property which was a nice treat. The house has access right down to the water and we loved using the water toys (kayaks & paddle boards) available to us. The kayaks & paddle boards might have been my favorite part. And the jacuzzi! A couple things we failed to plan for (our own fault) I didn’t notice there were not any bathroom amenities listed so we did not bring any shampoos, etc but there was a local store. Also cell service is really spotty so keep that in mind when finding the house! Lastly, low the ground cars may scrape entering/exiting the driveway. But other than that we had an absolute blast, would 100% stay again in the future, and highly recommend staying at this airbnb!!!

Lori was very responsive. We had some minor issues that we just wanted to comunicate. It was all managable and Lori was on top of things. Our family enjoyed the trip and it was a beautiful experince to have a home away from home.

We had a fantastic time staying at AJ’s place. The home was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to Mount Shasta. It was quiet and peaceful at night. Communication with the AJ was smooth and easy; he was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

This cabin is especialy great if you're bringing a boat. Easy driveway access and just a couple of minutes to a boat launch. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was easy to cook in, and the AC worked good.

The cabin is really private as it is located in the woods and the next neighbor is at least 500 m away. If you like being in the nature for your own and enjoy a private bbq in the woods in the evenings this place is for you. You will see a lot of squirrels and possibly lots of deer. While this place is great for nature lovers, it of course also brings minor inconveniences like mosquitos, while the gas fireplace and bbq helped to reduce the numbers. Make sure to actively ask for the door lock code at least one day prior to your arrival - you should get it two days prior in theory but we didn’t get it but got it via a phone call in the morning of the arrival. As it is quite remote, for the last two turns/1 km better look on Google maps yourself how to reach Paddock road and read the written instructions instead of blindly following the navigation system as we took a wrong turn following it. All in all we had a great stay at the cabin and exploring Mt Shasta and the great lakes closeby

This place was better than we imagined. They had items included in the house that we felt was above and beyond a normal Airbnb house. The house felt secluded yet within walking distance of the lake! The host was very responsive and went above and beyond! The house was spacious, warm and welcoming. Lots of parking, minutes to a boat ramp. We would definitely love to stay here again.

We stayed at this beautiful property for a quick overnight getaway, and it was the perfect space for my friends and me to relax and recharge. The home was gorgeous—spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It truly felt like a home away from home. The backyard was stunning and peaceful, with an open layout and natural surroundings. Though there was no fencing, it still felt safe and private, and the sounds of nature made it feel extra serene. We had the option for early check-in, but the fee was too high for our group. It also would’ve been helpful to receive check-in info a bit earlier in the day and to have had clearer instructions about the air mattress, which we had discussed in advance. Other than that, communication was smooth—Madison was responsive and provided clear expectations. We’re thankful for the stay and would happily recommend this property to others looking for a comfortable and quiet retreat.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Gina’s Lakehouse in Lakehead! It’s so comfy and we always feel right at home! There was even coffee available!!! Big plus! Our favorite part is it’s close to lake, but also it has a huge fenced in groomed yard, that is perfect for our dogs. We love that it’s dog friendly! Very important to us! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The house was very warm and inviting. Felt very comfortable right away. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking supplies. The beds were comfortable. The home decor was lovely. We loved the path directly to the lake. We took many walks around the neighborhood and enjoyed breakfast at Camp Shasta. Overall it was a very enjoyable trip!

We really enjoyed our stay in Lakehead at this wonderful house. I can’t speak more highly of the hosts. When we ran into an issue with the house (stuff happens!), they were super responsive, helpful, and proactive in accommodating us and making the issue right.

Very accommodating and helpful hosts. The home was very clean and as described with different activities and amenities. The location was amazing with balcony views of the lake down below as well as a short walk to the lake. The beds were comfortable and clean and the rooms were spacious and organized. Overall a great place to spend a nice getaway.

Lori was a great host, always in communication, and responding to any question we had, the place is so pretty, clean, and very convenient. I truly recommend this place for someone who wants to have a good time out of the city and connects with the nature.
