Beautiful setting, and very peaceful. The kitchen was amazing, and the Wood burning stove was so cosy in the evening. A great hideaway with friends. The roads are very narrow on the way to it, so be cautious

We had a fabulous few days staying at The Stables. Breda and Joe have a lovely country property. We love the goodie left for us from Breda. Scones and bread both home made. The cottage is so well equipped with most things you’d need to get by but a Centra only a few minutes away has lots of options. The bed was so comfortable as were the pillows and the fluffiest feather doona. The cottage is heated but we felt we didn’t need heating on as it’s very warm inside anyway but great if it turns cold. A bonus is the washer and dryer, we’d not been able to wash for several day so felt like all home comforts were covered. We loved the kitchen and dining area, great for preparing our meals. Breda has a vegetable and herb garden which she was happy for us to use, I made good use of salad stuff and herb. We got to meet Joe who was brings the horses back into the sheds, we got to see an 8 day old foal, such a highlight for me coming from Australia’s beach scene. We highly this place Fiona

Lynne’s place is such a unique and beautiful living space with a wonderful view out of the living room, looking at a valley with hills beyond. She has thoughtfully included all the amenities that a guest would need. She is super-friendly and also helpful, we especially enjoyed our several conversations. She gave out great local recommendations, the best of which was a particular seafood restaurant at Kilmore. The apartment was private, warm and surrounded by a beautiful garden with lots of trees, shrubs & flowers, we enjoyed watching the various birds that were visiting her garden. The shower was excellent, the heating was perfect, and the place had just the right furniture. She has kept lots of books and board games. The full kitchen deserves special mention. There is a well-stocked ALDI just a short walk from her place. There are pretty towns nearby, and we especially enjoyed the riverside walk on River Barrow. In sum, Lynne’s place is a home away from home in all aspects.

It's a lovely, peaceful space in the countryside. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
