Cottage holiday rentals in Shikoku

Not easy to find (it's better to plan to arrive by day) but definitely worth a visit!! Friendly welcome, idyllic setting. Perfect for the family. You can jet ski, paddleboard with a white sand beach, a pool. Nothing is missing with the comfort of the air conditioning with sea view. It's best to plan to shop before because it's quite secluded.

It is a waste of space for two people to stay together.It was a cold season, but there was air conditioning and a gas stove in each room, so I could stay warm.It was cold to wash my body, but the open-air bath was great.

My family of 5 stayed here to get away from the busy streets of Tokyo during our Japan trip. This was a great vacation home right on the ocean. Photos don’t do it justice. Also Takamatsu is a beautiful place. Check out the temples and explore the area. Also shop at 2nd street for amazing thrift finds.

The wooden house and garden that the owner built with his own hands for 4 and a half years has a very different temperature. We arrived at 10pm. The owner waited for us and took us in, warmly introduced the facilities in the house, and sent us champagne and snacks. Very warm! Due to the darkness, the narrow roads between the fields, and the lack of street lights, it is advisable to drive carefully.You can't see the scenery in the dark, but when you wake up the next morning and look out the glass window at the garden, you will be very surprised. The garden is beautiful, plus the sun, first-class! The tableware is also meticulously chosen, showcasing the owner's taste! Staying in this homestay is not suitable for one night, nor is it suitable for early departure and late return. Stay at least two nights, and spend more time indoors, or take a walk in the nearby fields. In the morning, you can sit on the embankment in the middle of the stream and listen to the sound of the water to meditate. It is a first-class enjoyment! However, since the house is in the middle of the field, there are inevitably mosquitoes flying into the house, and the entrance and exit of the door should be quick, and the door should not be left open, otherwise it will be a bit troublesome for mosquitoes to fly into the house. There is a CD player and a lot of CDs in the house, all old songs and music, worth listening to, will take you back to the past. The owner also took photos for us and gave us physical photos when we left. This practice is rare in modern times.

Such a beautiful, comfortable villa with stunning surrounding views and super peaceful. Could have stayed there for longer! Kazu was super informative from the moment of booking telling us useful information about the area including the fact that there aren’t many restaurants so we were prepared in advance and knew to go to the supermarket which Kazu also provided directions to. Would stay again if I was ever to do the shimanami kaido route again!

I am very satisfied with the immediate response! We could watch TV, Netflix, and YouTube, and it was totally fine even with children! There was also a small supermarket about 5 minutes away by car.You can park two cars, and the inside was very beautiful!I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity!

Very stylish trailer house!You can feel as usual as if you have come abroad! The room was very clean and very pleasant! I also ordered a meal, but it was hearty and very delicious! It was helpful that letting the dogs stay with us too!I wanted to stay here again and I want to stay here again!

Amazing place to stay in the mountains. The porch has incredible scenery with no one around. Overall good spot to explore Iya valley and highly recommend going on the SUP tour as the host was an excellent instructor.

The view was amazing! It was nice to have a fun time! One thing, the parking lot was a little confusing.

There were 4 beds, and it was a good cottage for 4 adults to relax and sleep.The BBQ on the terrace was also very delicious.The bath was far away, but it was spacious enough, and it felt like a waste to be dedicated to the cottage. There was no breakfast this time, so I went to a nearby Komeda coffee shop, but it was crowded.It would have been nice to have something to make and eat in the kitchen or on the terrace. The weather was good in the mountains, but the scenery was beautiful.I was able to spend time in nature without outdoor equipment, and it was very refreshing.

We had a fantastic stay! Our host was incredibly friendly and even helped us with our luggage upon request. The cottage is situated in a peaceful and quiet location, near the beach and away from town, and it comfortably accommodates our family of three and up to eight people. While the stairs are a bit narrow and steep for carrying large luggage up to the first floor, the rest of the cottage was clean and well-equipped. If you plan to cook at the cottage, it's wise to plan ahead as there are no nearby grocery stores. The location is excellent for exploring the museum route and is conveniently near a bus stop, making it easy for us to travel around the island using public transportation. Overall, a lovely experience!

We stayed with 8 people, four adults, four children (elementary school students).The children were very happy, and the adults were very satisfied and had a very pleasant time. The room is clean and full of dishes, so you can just bring your clothes and food.

Recommended for a relaxing family trip to enjoy the Seto Inland Sea ~ Perfect for water play, SUP, fishing, etc. The interaction with Hiroshi was very smooth and the service was very polite. I stayed for 5 nights, and it had everything I needed, and there were plenty of tools to cook a full meal. The shower outside that was in the sea, the barbecue on the wooden deck, and the relaxation space were also great. We used the rental cycle to go around the island and enjoyed swimming at the nearby sandy beach. Hiroshi introduced me to a local person, and he even planned a half-day boat fishing tour. Thanks to you, we had a great summer vacation. Thank you!
