Located in the town next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo, it has a historic townscape that has flourished as a production area for Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period. It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been designated as a Jūdenden Kenpon Zone and still has lacquerware shops lining the streets. Our house is available for rent as a whole, limited to one group per day, without meals. It takes a little time to get around, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in this area, but I think that's why this place has quietness and the beauty of casual, simple everyday life. I would be happy if you could stay as if you were living in this good old town, reading, taking walks, enjoying local drinks (sake, wine), sleeping in and waking up slowly. It is an old house in a mountain valley, and there are no screen doors, so in the warm season, wildlife may come in. The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail. We are preparing to welcome you with the house as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with an open mind. We use the accommodation fees we receive from guests to repair the building, and I would like to take care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

We are renting out another house in the town where we live. There is no TV, but instead there is a grand piano, picture books, and a forest that fills the window. 8weeks Fujimi is a quiet house at the foot of the Fujimi Panorama Resort. During the day, listen to the babbling of the stream and the refreshing wind of the highlands, and at night, gaze at the moonlight with a warm drink in hand. The villa, with its log cabin-style interior and grand piano, creates a space that is both extraordinary and somehow familiar. We moved from the city in 2020 with our then 1-year-old daughter. We were fascinated by Fujimi-cho and decided to move there within 8 weeks. We spent a luxurious time in the rich natural surroundings, and by the time eight weeks had passed, we were thinking, "Let's stay in this town." We named it "8weeks" because we hope that our guests will also spend time here that makes them want to stay. This is the house where I have lived with my 6-year-old daughter, so small children can also stay here with peace of mind. We have taken care to avoid placing items that could be dropped or bumped into as much as possible, and we also have a variety of picture books, musical instruments, and toys.

The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Just 10 minutes from downtown Matsumoto, Yokoya Farm is a family-run working apple farm in the countryside. Our private kura (Japanese storehouse), next to our family home, was renovated into a guesthouse in 2018. Enjoy the unique experience of staying in a real farmer's kura with the entire building all to yourselves. Our apple orchard is about a 5-minute walk away. During the apple season (late August to mid-November), you're welcome to enjoy complimentary apple picking.
