Cabin holiday rentals in Shohola

This was by far the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. The cabin was warm and welcoming, and everything was clean and clutter free. But, the most remarkable part was the beauty, peace, and solitude!! We spent the morning through the evening sitting outside and taking in the breathlessness of nature. I didn’t feel the need to look at my phone once and barely knew what time it was. We found our peace on Stoneycreek Lane! We are definitely going to return! We were two families from NYC that spend three nights at this place. The house was more than spacious for the 8 of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the four person hot tub, the firepit and badminton set. The kitchen was really well equipped for cooking and the beds were super comfortable. John was just a text away for any questions.

We returned again because we just love the location, ease, and amenities of staying there! Located close to so many sweet towns but tucked up and away on the stream, it’s the perfect upstate retreat. Meng and Andrew have truly thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and seamless as possible. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!

Great location. Very relaxing and peaceful. The house is adorable. The owner was very helpful and gave recommendations of local things to do. My fiancé and I stayed for two nights. We went to two of the restaurants that were recommended and we also went on a hike, we hiked 5 miles and it was a great day. The hot tub was super relaxing and we even made a fire at the fire pit. We can’t wait to go back.

The place was great! Nicely secluded and peaceful to spend a weekend at. William was a great host and quickly cleared some trees in the driveway that fell during some windy weather.

House sits right on the lake, beautiful property very private but close to town. The open floor plan is so comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. The house was well organized and very clean. Communication with Anna was easy and very responsive. The hot tub was such a nice treat at the end of the day. Would highly recommend this home.

A wonderfully relaxing place to stay. The hot tub and sauna are wonderful, as is the bedroom with the view of the mountains. We plan to come back soon.

Was exactly the weekend getaway we needed. The tub was perfect for the cold nights, and we were just close enough to do a few hikes. The cabin was exceptionally clean and James was very attentive to anything that we needed. It is definitely in a neighborhood, and there are many families that live by but because of the greenery and the way that the house is laid out it feels very private. We would recommend this to friends and family! Thank you, James!

This was my third time booking this enchanting Norway Chalet. It became almost my home away from home. Close to Jersey, close to trailheads, private, quiet and a ton of amenities. The host is very responsive and goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed. I highly recommend it.

Had a great time! Was perfect for a few days away with my husband and dogs. Everything was clean and as described (it's even better than the photos!) and the area was a lot of fun to explore. There are tons of hikes and other outdoorsy things nearby and Woodstock is a quick 20 minute drive, so the location gives you get the best of both worlds.

The Hideout was such an amazing place to stay and the A Frame was exactly what we were hoping for. It had everything we needed and Samantha was very communicative the whole time. A perfect weekend with the toddler and the dog!

Really charming cottage in the woods, and great, responsive hosts. Really had a nice time in this wooded and rural area, with two lakes nearby and the canoes on white lake. The cottage was clean and had a sleek, minimalist, scandanavian style (I felt like I was back in Sweden from years ago), which we appreciated! very peaceful at night and the AC worked great which helped out greatly on the hot days we were there. It's close enough to Woodstock museum/grounds, good food and laid back entertainment options in neighboring towns. Overall, a great stay, thank you!

When I decided in February to take three weeks away from my home city to spend time in the mountains, I wasn't sure I'd come a place that ticked all the boxes: would let me bring my dog, was on top of hiking by not terrifically far from essential businesses, was within a 4-5 hour drive from home, had the comforts I knew I needed and-- would also let me bring my cat? What did I find? This total gem of a cabin. My animals and I were able to make ourselves comfortable, the views of the lush trees were instantly calming, the bed was super comfortable, and somehow even though it felt like the middle of no where, was a 30 min drive from so many beautiful villages, trailheads, and other Catskills goodness. Mark was super on top of communications, helped me out when I needed it, and made sure I had what we needed. Highly recommend a stay here-- can't beat the charm and being truly surrounded by stunning nature.

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect home base for exploring the local climbing areas. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed after long days outside. We appreciated the quiet surroundings and thoughtful touches. Communication with the host was prompt and helpful. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting the area for climbing or other outdoor adventures. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great 1 night stay after a lovely hike at Stairway To Heaven. Hosts were super responsive and sweet. The cottage was so cute and tucked away from the other neighboring houses.

“Cabinesse” host (s), clearly care about their cabin and their guest. The cabin is sparkly clean and comfortable. The lake views are beautiful. The host is responsive and very helpful. We followed some suggestions from the guest book, such as a visit to Warwick, Bellvale Farms Creamery for amazing ice cream and Appalachian Pochuck Boardwalk Trail. We also tried the Bellvale Market (everything made there; amazing food) and hiked the Sterling Lake Loop (4.2 miles). Amazing unplug! Highly recommended.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Was so peaceful and nice. Meghan was friendly and responded very fast when we needed something. Would love to come back and enjoying the kayaks on the beautiful lake again!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful weekend getaway! The host was super responsive and gave very clear instructions for check-in. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. The lake was very peaceful, and the kayaks were at the dock and ready to use. So many good restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Stayed Memorial Day weekend and loved the property. The pictures don't do the gentle sound of the stream and forest behind the property any justice. Andrew was very responsive and helpful whenever needed. Great area for relaxing!

My wife and I enjoyed Johanna’s cozy cabin very much. It was very warm and tidy and it was easy to get around to attractions nearby. We loved hanging out by the fire and watching DVDs and using the well-appointed kitchen. A great stay!

I needed a getaway after a long stretch at work and was looking for something remote and peaceful—Grayson’s place was absolutely perfect. It gave me everything I needed for a truly restful and recharging stay. He’s clearly put a lot of thought into every detail of the space, and it shows. A very nice, private, place - where allows you to relax without seeing/interacting with people. Paul is also very helpful and responsive - you can get almost any help from him quickly. The cottage is great with well interior design. It has everything we need to stay in it for a week. Highly recommend to everyone who is looking for a escape from daily chores and cities. We will definitely come back and stay longer in this lovely space.

This is our second time coming to the Cozy Cottage on the lake. Our stay was even more memorable than the first time and we loved all the new upgrades that were done with the house, making it even more special and easy to relax and take in the stunning home. Emmett and his family were again incredibly helpful and thoughtful—quick responses, clear instructions, and little touches that made the stay feel special. They even remembered we were coming for my dad’s birthday and made it even more memorable for him ;) The place was spotless, comfortable, and in a great location. The family takes pride in their home and it shows. Highly recommend!
