Townhouse holiday rentals in Shropshire

This is our 4th or 5th visit to this gorgeous house. It is totally perfect with a cute little garden. Walkable to restaurants and the centre of Cheltenham. Interiors are exactly as portrayed in photos - spotless and well equipped. We love it!

1 Hope Terrace is an absolute gem. In a peaceful location yet within walking distance of Matlock Bath centre, it made a great base and was really handy for us to attend a weekend event at the Grand Pavillion. Helen's communications with directions, about the parking space (an added benefit) and the key safe were excellent. The house itself is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings, comfy beds with cotton bedding and feather duvets etc all lovely, and everything is spotlessly clean. Kitchen facilities, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils all good and we enjoyed making frothy coffees from the coffee machine with the pods provided. The little area to sit outside at the front is an added benefit. Also, thank you Helen for the treat of the cake! All in all a great stay, highly recommended.

We loved our stay in Conwy! The house was right in the middle of the high street, with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby (including a cheese monger, butcher and bakery, which we loved). We could walk to Castle Conwy. And having a parking space was a lifesaver. Samantha also left us an entire sponge cake AND some milk, which I really appreciated because I need milk in my morning tea and this meant I didn’t have to go to the store right away. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Lovely house in a central location, perfect for exploring the town and nearby walks. Really well equipped house with everything you might need. Also amazing period features. Would definitely recommend this as a stay for anyone who wants to visit Montgomery.

Absolutely fabulous from booking to completion. If you are looking for a stunning location set in the middle of the Cotswolds for a short or long stay this is got to be high up on your list. Property is set on a private estate with three beautiful lakes with most of the properties surrounding them. Melanie’s property was beautifully appointed with everything that you would need for a stay with your family or friends and it had many extras included. Melanie was a great host. She was extremely communicative from beginning to end and paid attention to detail with the little things to make our four day stay even better than we had anticipated. Beautiful house with very spacious rooms and a pretty outdoor area with seating. Plenty of refreshments to choose from. I stayed with my indoor cats for 2 nights and they relaxed straight away too! Located just outside the town centre, but you wouldn’t realise this as it was so peaceful. Would definitely recommend Jo, the house and location. Fabulous.

Great few days in a lovely cottage. We were made very welcome by Jennifer and Ewan and also by Stripe, the wonderful and friendly chicken. The location was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful yet right in the heart of historic Ledbury and even better, we could easily walk into the hills right from the cottage. Jennifer's recommendations were very helpful and spot on - we found lovely places to eat and drink. If you like a touch of shopping too the independent shops are lovely and all the people very friendly and cheerful. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for our needs. We were looking for somewhere to stay close to Snowdon for a sunrise hike. Prerequisites for us was space, privacy and a big bath for a post hike soak. The house didn’t disappoint. It was easy to find, peaceful and very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the front of the house, basking in the sun. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, but the house felt cosy and would have been just as lovely if the weather was more typical! Communication was great. We had no issues at all. We really enjoyed staying here and would love to return.

We had a wonderful family weekend. Great location, easy walking into Witney town which has great shopping and great pubs. The accommodation is very comfortable, well appointed and very tastefully decorated, we particularly enjoyed the pool and baby football tables!! Great outdoor spaces with courtyards on the ground and first floor. We just wish we could have had more time to stay, will definitely be looking to come back.

Perfect location, clean and just what we needed for a weekend away. Even though there’s no allocated parking, we all found a parking space minutes from the property for 3 cars easily. Host replied to questions immediately. We’d definitely choose this property again, thank you

Believe the Hype! One of the best AirBnBs I have stayed in … the attention to detail is incredible. Stuart and Kay were wonderfully helpful and responded rapidly at all times I went to a conference at the ICC, by bus which was easy. Although the buses weren’t frequent they were reliable. We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Amazing location, easy to find, beautifully furnished and very clean. It made a very comfortable and peaceful stay. We would highly recommend and would certainly return.

A really great and well furnished apartment in a great location with several great pubs nearby and short walk down to the high street. Beautiful view from the balcony, and well equipped kitchen. Apartment was very clean, beds were all super comfy, and we each had our own bathroom. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I had a fantastic 2-day stay at Geoff and Tina’s place. Geoff was extremely responsive and friendly, the property was lovely (the renovated backyard was a huge plus!), and the town center was in easy walking distance. We wish we could have stayed more than 2 days!

I have stayed in a number of rental cottages/apartments over the years and I have to say Gilpin Cottage is right up there with the best ! I have no complaints at all, everything was as described and my wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable few days. There were even fans in both bedrooms to help combat the heat at night. I loved the area and may well return in the nor too distant future. All in all, well done Jonathan !

Cottage very clean and well presented. Excellent location such that we could just park the car and walk everywhere. Although live music from the recreation ground could be heard with the windows open, it was not a problem for us. Given that it was an extremely hot weekend, everyone was out enjoying the full Stratford experience xx Great stay - thank you x

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Truly Nice and Cosy Stay! We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely and cosy house! It was exactly as described—clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The decor gave it a warm, welcoming feel, and the space was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

It’s always lovely staying at Kate’s place. She is very thoughtful and kind, even flowers on the table. The bed is so comfortable, we appreciated the milk in the fridge plus other bits and pieces and the house is always immaculate. Kate’s a great host. Thank you.

We can only echo all the great comments previous guests have made. So glad we stayed. A super comfortable bed which gave us a great nights sleep. Lashings of hot water for a good soak in the great bath tub! The lounge was very relaxing especially the sofa. Kitchen was well equipped. House was very clean too. Location was perfect with the 53 bus at the end of the High Street or a short walk into the city centre. The City Wall walk was brilliant as was the Cathedral, River Trip and Zoo. Christopher was an excellent communicator. We liked his suggestions of eateries especially Made in Italy where we celebrated my 75th Birthday!

A lovely overnight stay for a wedding in Hereford Matt was very helpful and responsive The house was lovely, clean and everything you needed was included Only two hours parking in the road but a parking permit was a nice touch. If I had one gripe (and it really is only a tiny one) is that we were unable to open the main bedroom window as the handle was broken. Overall a lovely find and if visiting Hereford again would definitely recommend. Well done Matt
