FredrikLars farm at Nordmarksbergs Mansion

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Gammelgården is located 5 km north of Finspång. The cottage is newly built in old style with moon windows, crystal chandelier and luxurious bedding. Lake view and boardwalk down to Bysjön, we have a small rowboat for guests. Loans of bicycles for lovely bike rides and loans of golf clubs, Finspång has 27 hole course with pay and play. We (Ingrid and Bill and the cats Tussilago and Pantufa )live on the farm in an old house from the 1750s with separate entrance and parking.

Welcome to our summer house surrounded by forest and just few meter to a river (Svartälven). The house has three spacious bedrooms, fresh living room, equipped kitchen with a dining area, and a nice terrace. Please, take good care of our house as it was yours. Life jackets and paddles also included. Walking distance to the lake and river. Transport of canoe to other lakes can be arranged for a small fee.
