It was what we expected. The bathroom was a bit dirty, but I guess that’s a lot due to individual visitors not cleaning up after themselves. Overall short but fine stay. Thanks.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Eduardo and Gabriela’s house. They were perfect hosts, kind, warm and extremely flexible. The house is close to the most beautiful beaches around Ericeira. We would certainly recommend a stay here!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay and relax. It is not a residence like a hotel with excellent service, rather than that, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind, aiming for getting away from noisy and cheesy city style.

Such a cute little town and really neat estate. The views are amazing from the pool. It was a 15 min walk downhill to the beach where there’s a little restaurant. Lots of dogs and roosters in the area so sounds of nature might wake you vs sounds of the city. Luis was super responsive and saved us immediately when we locked ourselves out once. You felt safe in the area, especially with the gated property. Loads of great restaurants in walking distance, especially Sisudo and restaurante adraga, such friendly owners. Do NOT go to A Adega do Coelho. Not friendly for tourists. I would totally return, loved it.

Elizabeth's house gathers enough to spend a few quiet days, comfortable in an excellent atmosphere. The house is beautiful and all distribution and bathroom, kitchen, garden etc were in perfect condition. The only one but, is what other users have already described, parking is difficult and complicated to be a very narrow road. In general we recommend it to people who seek privacy and tranquility, but also to say that it is not accessible for people with reduced mobility... Finally mentioning Mafalda as a contact person while we were staying, was very friendly.

Sofia’s house is such an inspiring and beautiful place, I really recommend it!

Every thing about this place is fantastic. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. What a view to wake up to. I was celebrating my anniversary and the bed was adorned with flowers and there was a welcoming bottle of wine with some lite bites provided. Dinesh is a fantastic welcoming face full of excellent recommendations. Alex,the owner, is a delight to talk to if you have the opportunity to meet him during the wonderful breakfast. I don’t have a bad thing to say. They go above and beyond to provide a home away from home and create a truly unique, warm and welcoming experience. I hope everyone gifts themselves the opportunity to rest their head here.

What a special place! Absolutely worth a visit and I would recommend to anyone looking for tranquility and magic. Aline and Dinesh and the whole staff are lovely. I will definitely return! A++!!!

We stayed here for 3/4 days before we headed off to a wedding. This place was fantastic, highly recommend. It's so peaceful and relaxing, a great get away. We felt right at home. Thankyou again for having us there.

I felt comfortable in this place. The grounds are directly adjacent to a small, beautiful forest with old trees and a special, quiet energy – a place to breathe and recharge. A big thank you to Rita, the dear neighbor, who showed us everything - I appreciated her warmth and the open nature of her little family. My little dog was also welcome everywhere and could move freely, which I was happy about. The residential area itself is not a classic travel destination, but a good starting point for excursions in the area – for me it was just right. For all those who arrive by car and are looking for a quiet place to sleep in nature, I can recommend this place from the heart.

We had a pleasant stay in this peaceful place close to nature. Miguel and Antonia made us feel at home. They are both very friendly, you can feel that they love people and that they love to share their love of animals. Everything is done with the Heart! The "Casinha de Lareira" is tastefully and carefully decorated (a nod to the housekeeper, impeccable cleanliness!). Miguel and Antonia, a big thank you for the people you are! We had a great stay. The kitchen was well equipped and modern, the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The surrounding farm made it so peaceful and the shared living spaces were also really handy to have. Having a car is definitely preferable here as you’re further from Ericeira but there is a nice beach and restaurant right by it. Would definitely come and stay again!

We rented two flats from Manuel in Alfama and had an absolutely wonderful stay there. Manuel is the best host you can think of. He is very helpful, friendly, easy to reach and gave us lots of good recommendations to restaurants and interesting things to see, and his flats are just gorgeous. Perfectly situated, very well equipped, beautiful furnitures, lovely bathrooms and stunning terraces. It was also quite special to stay in a 600 years old house, with its thick walls, tiles decoration, beautiful entrance, floors and stairs. The thick walls kept the house cool and comfortable when hot outside. Alfama, with its narrow cobbled streets and lovely atmosphere, was a perfect place to stay for us and a great starting point for our walks around Lisbon. We went there with our closest family, including our two small grandchildren, and it worked great for all of us. After a long day out it was wonderful to relax and gather all of us on the terrace. We would love to come back and deeply recommend the place.

Jose’s place is a little paradise in Alenquer with such an amazing array of flora and wildlife. The pool is large and well equipped with many sun loungers. A breakfast mostly made from produce grown within the gardens was made on the Sunday morning (the jam, cheesecake and carrot cake were particularly good, best we’ve ever tasted!) which was a very welcome surprise. Paola created some lemonade with Lemons and mint from the gardens and it was simply delicious. Jose even gave us five huge Sicilian Lemons to take with us once we left for home! We were staying for four days as we were over from the UK for a wedding which was hosted only 1km away, but we have to say this place would easily justify a holiday in itself. Everyone couldn’t do enough to help us, given my wife is 30 weeks pregnant and our overall experience of Jose’s place, Alenquer and Portugal was nothing short of beautiful. Thank you Jose and Paola for treating us like a King and Queen during our stay, we will never forget

Benjamin was very helpful and friendly, he gave us amazing food basket when everything in whole portugal was closed and without electric. Also we loved the animals.

Very well positioned and well-equipped house. Lots of space, close to the village and the beaches. All in all a great place

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Altus with seven adults and four kids. The house was clean and comfortable and had plenty do space for everyone. The kids loved the playroom and the games room, and we all enjoyed the fantastic heated pool. The setting is spectacular amongst the vineyard covered hills, and we ate all of our meals outdoors. It was an easy drive to the coast, where we found beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Lina was wonderfully helpful, and let us check in early and out late, which was great for the babies’ nap schedules. The rooms also have blackout shutters, which helped them adjust to the time change. She provided cribs and high chairs for them. We were also really happy that the pool area is fenced and gated, which made it easier for parents to relax during meals on the patio! Finally for the adults, the showers are amazing. Great pressure and really hot water. I’d recommend Lina and Villa Altus to anyone. It really was perfect.

The property was beautiful and the villa was very nice. Mr Dinesh was very responsive and helped make our stay nice. The estate owners were very kind and we met them at breakfast. Overall was a great experience and would recommend. We thought the breakfast would be included with the stay per the amenities page but were told there it would be extra. I would check ahead of time on that.
