Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sitia

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marianthi's and Thodoris' house. The sea side view is just epic; from the hammock you can just chill, look over the sea and the mountains and feel the soft sea breeze. They are truly wonderful hosts, and they quickly responded to any requests from our side and provided us with nice suggestions on places to visit. The house was just beautiful and well cared for, especially the garden and patio were wonderful for our young kids who loved exploring and picking up lemons, that we used to make an amazing lemonade. Many days we started the day by walking to the nearby beach so that the kids could make sandcastles and we could relax into the day. We also enjoyed the restaurants at the beach that have a decent selection and good quality food. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially to families with kids.

We had a wonderful time in Despina's apartment. We liked everything and felt welcome and comfortable. The description is great, the reality is even better. Despina is always helpful and responsive. We had some trouble finding the place. I wrote to Despina and she responded immediately. She arranged a meeting place with us. She was already waiting for us there🙏. We definitely want to come back, there is still so much to discover in eastern Crete. Many thanks, dear Despina and best regards to your mom ❤️

Cozy town and peaceful place.

We felt very comfortable directly upon arrival at the accommodation. There is a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There are 2 bedrooms, a "master bedroom" and a "children's bedroom". We initially had some problems with the stove/oven, as the fuse was not set correctly, as you should not use too many electrical appliances at once and have to switch something in the fuse box every now and then. However, we were able to get help quickly and efficiently. There is a path directly past the beautiful garden to the (stone) beach, which we have enjoyed using, but also occasional dog owners or walkers can use this path. The transition of the gardens with the neighbors is fluid, so that the chickens/dogs/cats of the neighbors were sometimes in front of the door, which did not bother us as animal-friendly people. The neighbors have generally been very nice. We liked the east of Crete (explored with a rental car) very much!

Irene was so helpful, quickly responding to any questions we had throughout our stay! Her apartment is truly right by the sea with captivating views of the rest of the city built in the hills to the west and beautiful views in front and to the east of the port. We highly recommend her as a super host! We have stayed in many Air B & B’s and her apartment in Sitia is now one of our favorites!😊💕

We greatly enjoyed our accommodation during these few days! The accommodation is clean, functional, very well equipped and the host is very responsive. What can you say about the two beautiful exteriors! The large roof terrace for resting in the shade in complete privacy with sea views. The small terrace in front of the house is incredible, with your feet in the water. The house is very well located, a few meters from the city center and the bar next door is a real asset for a drink or a meal from our own terrace. A little gem, just like the town of Mochlos.

Had an absolutely beautiful stay at this apartment. The location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing get away. The property is really well equipped and has everything you could need. Maria was super friendly, responsive and communicated really well throughout our visit. We visited just before the main season and Mochlos was quiet and sleepy, just waking up. You'll need a car if you want to explore the island from here. Cannot recommend this property enough - we just had the most lovely time.

Very clean and convenient apartment. we only stayed there one night in order to take the ferry the next morning early, allow 20 minutes on foot to get there. the marina is a little closer. parking with a car is not really easy. it didn't bother us, as we only dropped off our luggage with the car, then we went back to the rental agency, and we came back on foot. We stayed a quiet, cool night in a comfortable bedding. Panagiota is a thoughtful host, the fridge was full of fresh fruit and fresh water, and also raki 😊 everything you needed was available in the bathroom! in short, this accommodation perfectly met our expectations, for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, 8 and 12 years old.

I had a very relaxing time with Eric. He picked me up at the central square in the village, showed me many good restaurants and mini markets on a tour through the village! He takes care of his guests in a touching way and is always approachable and available! I felt very comfortable in the very sweet cottage from the first minute!

Absolutely fantastic, five stars quite honestly isn’t enough for Menelaos and his beautiful penthouse villa. The villa is perfectly located….it really couldn’t be closer to the sea, with unique views of Mochlos, the island and the coasts to the east and west. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay, and the balcony is just perfect….the hardest thing was to drag ourselves away from it! Most importantly Menelaos is an absolutely perfect host, we’ve never had a welcome like it and we immediately felt at home, Menelaos is a true gentleman. We’re lucky to spend quite a bit of time in Crete and will definitely return to Menelaos Penthouse Villa….in fact I’m already planning our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment has the best views. In the middle of everything you need in Plaka, great restaurants and shop 50 yds away. I will visit again next year again in October. Thanks Lilly.

Beautiful stay, breathtaking view. Very welcoming and lovely hosts. The accommodation is clean, matches the photos. I recommend this rental! The restaurant down Gefsis Street is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend it. A vehicle is required to access the accommodation. An address I would keep!

Very beautiful, large traditional Greek house. And an extraordinary garden with breathtaking views. With small hammock rest areas, sun loungers. Beautiful outdoor dining area. And a very warm and attentive family welcome.

We really enjojed staying at the apartment. The beach is very beautiful and private in September.

I felt very comfortable at the place Manos is a great host who responds quickly to questions, gives great tips for excursions and receives you very kindly with raki and cookies. the accommodation is as described and very comfortable. The balcony is mega cozy, the bed upstairs just for snuggling in. In the kitchen there is everything you need without being overloaded. The washing machine served me well after the many hikes. To reach the area easily, I recommend a rental car. And as the many before me wrote: Manos is a very warm host. I would definitely recommend the place. Thanks for the wonderful time in Koutsouras! 🙂

I had the best time at George’s Apartment. The view is incredible, the little balcony very refreshing and the rooms absolutely convenient. I have loved the Meze Restaurant around the corner which is called The Hope and had the best time there.

The place was sunny, clean, had everything we needed, lots of light and fresh air. The stay was very comfy and in a lovely location, within driving distance to gorgeous beaches and nice restaurants. Thank you!

We had an amazing time. Manolis is very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great recommendations of beaches to go to and restaurants. The apartment is in a great location. It has everything you need and is really nicely decorated and very clean. If we end up in Agios Nikolaos again we will definitely stay there again

Beautiful spacious apartment with great modern design and with a unique sea view from the balcony (sea only about 20 meters away). Everything you need. The landlord is extremely friendly and always available. We felt very comfortable. There are many good restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. The free parking by the sea was also perfect. From there, it only takes 5 minutes to get to the apartment. The beautiful bar near the bedrooms was always well attended and accordingly it was loud there until the night. It's a matter of taste, but the beds were too hard for us. Otherwise, absolutely recommended! We felt very comfortable and always had breakfast comfortably on the balcony.

Maria's accommodation was very clean, organized and spacious. We were particularly impressed by the welcome, the treat and the speed of communication. It's great for a couple. Its yard is small, although there is room for parking. We'd definitely go for it again! It is not recommended to visit Sitia without a vehicle as the only access is an uphill road with a steep slope. The same, of course, applies to the whole city.

I'll make it short and sweet. ;-) Top location on the slope over fantastic coves. Someone contacted us 2 days in advance and received us very nicely, courteously and helpful. Easy in English. The apartment is in the eastern part on the north side. From there you can reach almost all points of the eastern island half in about 1 hour. In 10-15 minutes you can walk to 3 different coves (sturdy shoes). From tourism bay with cocktail bar, to lonely wild bay. The crystal clear water is truly dreamlike. We always had a free parking space at the apartment. You have to carry the suitcases up a few stairs. But arrived in the apartment, you will be rewarded with a very clean, quite newly renovated and well air-conditioned maisionette with breathtaking views. For self-catering, everything important is available. Markets are close. The photos are actually from 2 apartments next to each other. But these are almost identical. Everything great!

We spent almost a week in this lovely apartment with our 2 year old and it was just perfect! The apartment contains few things but has everything you might need - it’s beautiful and cosy. Alexandra’s dad welcomed us and our daughter became a real fan of him (just like us, he was very friendly). We loved the proximity to the beach (so beautiful! And perfect for small children) and the nice taverns and cafes, while still being secluded. During two nights we heard some louder music (from a bar, maybe) but after closing the window that was also not a problem at all . Thank you, Alexandra, we really enjoyed our stay and could have easily stayed longer!
