Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sitia

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marianthi's and Thodoris' house. The sea side view is just epic; from the hammock you can just chill, look over the sea and the mountains and feel the soft sea breeze. They are truly wonderful hosts, and they quickly responded to any requests from our side and provided us with nice suggestions on places to visit. The house was just beautiful and well cared for, especially the garden and patio were wonderful for our young kids who loved exploring and picking up lemons, that we used to make an amazing lemonade. Many days we started the day by walking to the nearby beach so that the kids could make sandcastles and we could relax into the day. We also enjoyed the restaurants at the beach that have a decent selection and good quality food. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially to families with kids.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Despinas Wohnung. Einfach alles hat uns gefallen und wir haben uns willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Die Beschreibung ist schon toll, die Wirklichkeit ist noch viel besser. Despina ist immer hilfsbereit und ansprechbar. Wir hatten etwas Mühe die Unterkunft zu finden. Ich habe Despina angeschrieben und sie hat sofort reagiert. Sie hat mit uns einen Treffpunkt vereinbart. Dort hat sie dann schon auf uns gewartet 🙏. Wir möchten unbedingt wiederkommen, es gibt noch so viel zu entdecken in Ostkreta. Ganz lieben Dank, liebe Despina und liebe Grüße an deine Mama ❤️

Die Unterkunft von Maria kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Die Kommunikation war super. Die Wohnung ein Traum. Maria hat diese mit soviel Liebe eingerichtet. Es war alles vorhanden was man brauchte. Die Lage war top. Mitten in einem kleinen Dorf mit netten Menschen. Wer die Ruhe und die Natur liebt, ist hier genau richtig.

Wir haben uns direkt bei der Ankunft in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist eine vollausgestattete Küche vorhanden und 2 Badezimmer. Es gibt 2 Schlafzimmer, ein "Elternschlafzimmer" und ein "Kinderschlafzimmer". Wir hatten anfangs etwas Probleme mit dem Herd/Backofen, da die Sicherung nicht richtig eingestellt war, da man nicht zu viele Elektrogeräte auf einmal benutzen soll und im Sicherungskasten immer mal wieder etwas umschalten muss. Dabei konnte uns aber gut und recht zügig geholfen werden. Es führt ein Weg direkt am schönen Garten vorbei zum (Stein-)Strand, welchen wir gerne genutzt haben, aber auch vereinzelte Hundebesitzer oder Spaziergänger können diesen Weg nutzen. Der Übergang der Gärten mit den Nachbarn ist fließend, sodass die Hühner/Hunde/Katzen der Nachbarn auch mal vor der Tür standen, was uns als tierfreundliche Menschen nicht gestört hat. Die Nachbarn sind generell sehr nett gewesen. Uns hat der Osten Kretas (erkundet mit Mietwagen) sehr gut gefallen!

Irene was so helpful, quickly responding to any questions we had throughout our stay! Her apartment is truly right by the sea with captivating views of the rest of the city built in the hills to the west and beautiful views in front and to the east of the port. We highly recommend her as a super host! We have stayed in many Air B & B’s and her apartment in Sitia is now one of our favorites!😊💕

Nous avons grandement apprécié notre logement pendant ces quelques jours ! Le logement est propre, fonctionnel, très bien équipé et l’hôte très réactif. Que dire des deux extérieurs magnifiques ! La grande terrasse sur le toit pour se reposer a l’ombre en toute intimité avec vue sur la mer. La petite terrasse devant la maison est elle incroyable, les pieds dans l’eau. La maison est très bien située, à quelques mètres du centre- ville et le bar à côté est un vrai atout pour prendre un verre ou un repas depuis notre propre terrasse. Une petite perle tout comme la ville de Mochlos.

Merci Giorgos et Maria pour votre accueil chaleureux et votre grande flexibilité. L'appartement était impeccable, parfaitement propre et très agréable à vivre. Nous espérons avoir été de bons guests! Encore merci pour tout.

Had an absolutely beautiful stay at this apartment. The location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing get away. The property is really well equipped and has everything you could need. Maria was super friendly, responsive and communicated really well throughout our visit. We visited just before the main season and Mochlos was quiet and sleepy, just waking up. You'll need a car if you want to explore the island from here. Cannot recommend this property enough - we just had the most lovely time.

Appartement très propre et pratique. nous n'y avons séjourné qu'une nuit en vue de prendre le ferry le lendemain matin de bonne heure, comptez 20 minutes à pied pour y accéder. le port de plaisance est un peu plus proche. le stationnement avec une voiture n'est pas vraiment aisé. cela ne nous a pas posé de problème, car nous avons seulement déposé nos bagages avec la voiture, puis nous sommes allés la redéposer à l'agence de location, et nous sommes revenus à pieds. Nous avons passé une nuit au calme, au frais, dans une literie confortable. Panagiota est une hôte attentionnée, le frigo était rempli de fruits frais et d'eau bien fraîche, et aussi du raki 😊 tout le nécessaire était disponible dans la salle de bain! bref, ce logement a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes, pour une famille de2 adultes et 2 enfants, 8 et 12 ans.

Wir waren nur zwei Nächte in der Gegend und in der Unterkunft aber das Tiny House ist mit ganz viel Liebe eingerichtet und toll ausgestattet. Wir haben uns dort direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. Der Gastgeber Eric war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns viele Tips für die Gegend gegeben. Er antwortet auch super schnell auf Nachrichten. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt! Viele Dank!

Absolutely fantastic, five stars quite honestly isn’t enough for Menelaos and his beautiful penthouse villa. The villa is perfectly located….it really couldn’t be closer to the sea, with unique views of Mochlos, the island and the coasts to the east and west. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay, and the balcony is just perfect….the hardest thing was to drag ourselves away from it! Most importantly Menelaos is an absolutely perfect host, we’ve never had a welcome like it and we immediately felt at home, Menelaos is a true gentleman. We’re lucky to spend quite a bit of time in Crete and will definitely return to Menelaos Penthouse Villa….in fact I’m already planning our next visit!

What a beautiful and special place! We had gorgeous views for sunrises/sunsets and it was a more quiet/relaxing place stop for our extended trip in Crete. We experienced quite a bit while we were there-Spinalonga, Elounda, Kolokithia beach (go early at 7-8 before the boats come in), Agio Nikolas(get the goat’s milk frozen yogurt) and we hiked to the windmill farm(8-10 miles) and went to the Plaka beach(bring water shoes). Lily was so helpful and pleasant and the place was perfect for our needs! Oh and we loved the food at Porta and Carob Tree;they seem touristy but the staff were pleasant (not pushy) and the food was fantastic. I hope we can come back one day!! ❤️❤️❤️

Magnifique séjour, une vue époustouflante. Des hôtes très accueillant et adorable. Le logement est propre, conforme aux photos. Je recommande cette location ! Le restaurant en bas de la rue Gefsis est EXCELLENT. Je recommande fortement. Un véhicule est nécessaire pour accéder au logement. Une adresse que je garderais !

Très belle grande maison traditionnelle grecque. Et un jardin extraordinaire avec une vue époustouflante. Avec des petits coins repos hamacs , chaises longues. Splendide salle à manger extérieur. Et un accueil familiale très chaleureux et attentionné

Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine Minute bis zum Strand, besser gehts nicht. Kann ich nu empfehlen, wer bisschen runterkommen möchte.

Ich habe mich in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Manos ist ein toller Gastgeber, der schnell auf Fragen antwortet, großartige Tipps für Ausflüge gibt und einen sehr freundlich mit Raki und Keksen empfängt. die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben und sehr gemütlich. Der Balkon ist mega gemütlich, das Bett oben einfach nur zum reinkuscheln. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, ohne überladen zu sein. Die Waschmaschine hat mir nach den vielen Wanderungen gute Dienste geleistet. Um die Umgebung gut zu erreichen, empfehle ich einen Mietwagen. Und wie die vielen vor mir geschrieben haben: Manos ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber. Ich würde die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Danke für die schöne Zeit in Koutsouras! 🙂

I had the best time at George’s Apartment. The view is incredible, the little balcony very refreshing and the rooms absolutely convenient. I have loved the Meze Restaurant around the corner which is called The Hope and had the best time there.

The place was sunny, clean, had everything we needed, lots of light and fresh air. The stay was very comfy and in a lovely location, within driving distance to gorgeous beaches and nice restaurants. Thank you!

Wir waren total begeistert! Die Wohnung ist etwas ganz Besonderes – mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an einfach wohlfühlen muss. Alles war super sauber, stilvoll und gleichzeitig unglaublich gemütlich. Man merkt, wie viel Herzblut hier drin steckt. Ein rundum toller Aufenthalt – absolut empfehlenswert!

Wunderschönes großzügiges Apartment mit tollem modernen Design und mit einem einzigartigen Meerblick vom Balkon (Meer nur ca. 20 Meter entfernt). Alles da, was man braucht. Der Vermieter ist extrem freundlich und immer erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In der Gegend gibt es viele gute Restaurants alle in Laufnähe. Der kostenlose Parkplatz am Meer war ebenfalls perfekt. Von dort benötigt man lediglich 5 Minuten zum Apartment. Die zwar schöne Bar in der Nähe der Schlafzimmer war immer gut besucht und dementsprechend war es dort schon laut bis in die Nacht. Es ist Geschmacksache, aber die Betten waren uns zu hart. Ansonsten absolut empfehlenswert! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und immer gemütlich auf dem Balkon gefrühstückt.

Το κατάλυμα της Μαρίας ήταν πολύ καθαρό, οργανωμένο και ευρύχωρο. Ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση μας έκανε το καλωσόρισμα, το κέρασμα και η ταχύτητα στην επικοινωνία. Είναι ιδανικό για ζευγάρι. Η αυλή του είναι μικρή αν και υπάρχει χώρος για στάθμευση. Θα το επιλέγαμε ξανά σίγουρα! Δε συνιστάται αν επισκέπτεστε τη Σητεία χωρίς όχημα καθώς η μοναδική πρόσβαση είναι ένας ανηφορικός δρόμος με έντονη κλίση. Το ίδιο βέβαια ισχύει για όλη την πόλη.

Ich mach es kurz und knapp. ;-) Top Lage am Hang über traumhaften Buchten. Jemand meldete sich 2 Tage vorher bei uns und empfang uns sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Problemlos auf englisch. Die Wohnung liegt im ostlichen Teil auf der Nordseite. Von dort aus kann man in ca. 1 Stunde fast alle Punkte der östlichen Inselhälfte anfahren. In 10-15 Minuten kann man zu 3 verschiedenen Buchten laufen (feste Schuhe). Von Tourismusbucht mit Cocktailbar, bis einsame wilde Bucht. Das glasklare Wasser ist wirklich traumhaft. Wir haben bei der Wohnung immer einen freien Parkplatz gehabt. Die Koffer muss man so einige Treppenstufen hochtragen. Aber in der Wohnung angekommen, wird man mit einer sehr sauberen, recht neu renovierten und gut klimatisierten Maisionette mit atemberaubenden Ausblick belohnt. Für Selbstversorger ist alles Wichtige vorhanden. Markets sind in der Nähe. Die Fotos sind eigentlich aus 2 Wohnungen nebeneinander. Diese sind aber nahezu identisch. Alles top!

Nice apartment. The guidebook sent by Nikos proved to be very useful and reliable.

We spent almost a week in this lovely apartment with our 2 year old and it was just perfect! The apartment contains few things but has everything you might need - it’s beautiful and cosy. Alexandra’s dad welcomed us and our daughter became a real fan of him (just like us, he was very friendly). We loved the proximity to the beach (so beautiful! And perfect for small children) and the nice taverns and cafes, while still being secluded. During two nights we heard some louder music (from a bar, maybe) but after closing the window that was also not a problem at all . Thank you, Alexandra, we really enjoyed our stay and could have easily stayed longer!
