Authentic Crete (Rethymno/Skaleta)

In a unique environment in full contact with nature at the beautiful coastline of Crete, we offer a cozy floor to enjoy a dream vacation with lots of relaxation. The apartment of 110 square meters is located just 150 meters from the seafront. In front of the main entrance of the apartment, straight-looking at the sea and the horizon, there is a large terrace, which is ideal to enjoy the sunrise and the sunset all year-around, while experiencing the pleasant sea breeze. Immediately after entering the house, there is a colorful and enjoyable living room, ideal to relax, read, chat or simply enjoy good company. The living room features an American-style bar, which separates it from the kitchen, creating two completely different environments, which are however interconnected for guest convenience. The minimalist kitchen is spacious and bright, in tune with the rest of the house. It faces the large terrace and the seafront and features large glass windows, which allow visibility into the horizon. The kitchen has a variety of appliances including a refrigerator, an oven and a microwave, which are useful for cooking. In addition to the large terrace in front of the house, there is a second large terrace connected to the living room on the east side of the house. This terrace also has view at the seafront and is also ideal for relaxation and having meals outdoors while enjoying the beautiful landscape. Furtherome, the house has two bedrooms ideal for hosting couples, friends, or a family with children. Both rooms are spacious and feature a double bed and two single beds. They also have heating and air conditioning. The house also features a brand new toilet with shower and ventilation as well as a clothes’ washing machine. Surrounding the house, true nature is what you can experience. As such, large gardens where locals cultivate vegetables and fruits, and farm animals such as rabbits, goats, sheep, cats and other wildlife typical of semi-rural Cretan areas all surround the premises thus giving our guests a sample of organic products grown by the farm owners. The house is located less than 100 meters from the national highway that connects Crete’s major cities in the north of the island. It is located just 11km from the city center of Rethymno and approximately 70 km from the international airport of Heraklion and the international airport of Chania. In order to fully enjoy your stay in the island, which features a wide array of attractions (from the beautiful Venetian cities of Rethymno and Chania, to picturesque beaches in the south of the island, to the unique Samaria Gorge, to the Minoan civilization ruins in the city of Heraklion) renting a car is highly advisable. Parking is available in front of the house and is included in the package. Welcome to authentic Crete!

We only have positive things to say about our stay at this Villa! Manolis and Zania were extremely friendly, helpful and were gracious enough to greet us upon arrival. They even filled the refrigerator with groceries for us. Everything was as advertised on the website . We loved swimming in the pool, played ping-pong and basketball almost every day . Each room had one large TV, a comfortable bed, fresh clean linens and large windows with a view of the beautiful yard. We also loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer. Everything was also within proximity; from beaches to Rethymno city centre, supermarkets and local taverns . We would highly recommend this Airbnb to any large group of people staying in Crete. This definitely won’t be the last time we stay at this villa. Thanks again Manoli and Zania for making our vacation unforgettable. Till next time!

A beautiful relaxing villa. Everything was clean & perfect and we (family of 4) felt the space was great for us all, with many different zones to have some quiet time! Simona was on hand with any questions we had and was so friendly. The location is great if you like to enjoy nature, but you definitely need a car if you want to visit places. We would love to revisit again soon 😊

I can’t recommend the apartment enough. It was the best equipped rental I have ever stayed in and the location is beyond fabulous. A few steps down to the beach, the views from the terrace, 2 mins away from a handful of great restaurants, a cafe right next door and 15 mins walk into the main town. It has everything for a relaxed stay but everything on your doorstep when you want it. The house is as the photos depict - stylish and luxurious. A stay here will not disappoint! Loved every moment of it and wonderful hosts.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Villa - sie war noch schöner als beschrieben, mit tollem Blick auf das Meer, schönem Pool, entspannter Chill-Area mit Sonne und Schatten. Die Zimmer sehen aus mit auf den Fotos und es ist schön, dass jedes Zimmer sein eigenes Badezimmer hat. Die Küche ist soweit mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet. Stamatis kam uns am anreisetag besuchen, hat uns Tipps gegeben und war auch am Abreisetag kurz vor Ort, um uns zu verabschieden. Sehr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Die Villa liegt ca 20 Minuten mit dem Auto von Rethymno entfernt - zwischendurch immer große Supermärkte. Die Stadt selbst ist im Ortskern super schön mit vielen unglaublich guten Restaurants. Der Strand bei der Villa selbst ist kein Highlight. Wir sind dafür ins Auto gestiegen und sind an Rethymno vorbei an den großen langen Sandstrand gefahren mit vielen kleinen Tavernen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

The villa was absolutely stunning and had been designed with such an eye for detail. The villa was also immaculate and cleaned regularly throughout our stay. The villa itself had everything you could possibly want, the pool and hot tub were exceptional and the facilities were just as pictured. The games room was a particular favourite of ours. The host was also fabulous! He met us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. Providing everything we needed to get settled as well as for our little one! We cannot wait to stay again! An amazing villa, host and holiday!
