From here there are good opportunities for outdoor activities such as swimming or paddling in nearby fjord waters, hiking and cycling. Possibility to rent a SUP, kayak and bicycle. Approx. 20 min by car to Fredrikstad city center and Skjærhalden

New large residential complex is being built in the area and will be completed in autumn 2025. There will be shops, restaurant and gym. Pets are unfortunately not allowed due to allergies.

At the marina there are guest places for boats for a fee (guests must check for availability) This is an excellent starting point for paddling, surfing or other water sports activities. Ytre Hvaler National Park, with great hiking areas and coastal trails, is about 1 km away. There is also a small sandy beach 100 m from the house. There is a kiosk, restaurant and marina in the area.

Welcome to "bua" at Hvalstrand jetty! Bua is a cozy cabin located on Hvaler's perhaps most charming marina. Here it is quiet and peaceful while you get a taste of boating. Bua is located in connection with the boat docks, so you can expect to meet people who are vacationing in their boats. There are bathing facilities on site with a bathing staircase at the end of the boat dock. The surroundings consist of a lot of nice nature with forests, trails and mountains. Here you can enjoy quiet days in the garden, or take a trip to the sea. Both Spjærekilen with good bathing opportunities and Kjellvika are in walking distance. Generally great hiking opportunities. Whether you want to enjoy the quiet days or want to explore Whales, this is a great base. Shops about 5 km away.

Several beaches with good parking nearby. From the center of Vesterøy, there is a bus both further out towards Skjærhalden and into Fredrikstad. Here you can enjoy the tranquility with a cup of coffee in the sun, take a walk in the woods, a swim in the sea and explore Hvaler's sights.

Nice apartment. 3 minutes from train station with connection to Oslo and Gothenburg. Short way to the city center, 3 cafes in the immediate vicinity, grocery store on Kråkerøy or city center. Quiet and nice area. Low traffic. Public parking in the street in marked places, for a fee 8 am to 6 pm on weekdays, until 3 pm Saturday and free on public holidays.
