Cottage Wipperoen has been in our family for 50 years. It is not located in a vacation park and has its own entrance to the Tilweg. In 2018, it was completely renovated and furnished with a new kitchen, lovely beds and underfloor heating. The best thing is that it is in the middle of the trees. All the freedom on our own 1100m2 property! From the cottage you can walk into the woods in 5 minutes. Gees is centrally located in Drenthe: Emmen, the beautiful Orvelte and the shops of Hoogeveen are 20 minutes by car.

Close to nice cities like Zwolle, Meppel and Ommen. National parks of Drenthe are a maximum of 30 minutes' drive away.

Mansion/City Villa (for groups)

(8-20 people) This detached mansion from 1935 is located right in the center of Emmen, just a few minutes' walk from nightlife, the train station, the forest, Wildlands and the Rensenpark. There is ample (free!) parking space. You rent the entire upper house and part of the lower house with its own kitchen, living room, bathrooms, toilets and nice garden. The minimum booking is 8 people 2 nights. Are you with less? Then please send a message before booking. Final cleaning at an additional cost if desired

Steelhouse - your forest escape by the lake

Unwind at this serene, secluded escape. Our Steel House, elevated on stilts, offers privacy and a rare connection with nature. Relax in the sauna for a peaceful retreat. At its highest point over the water, a sitting area with a 360º wood stove keeps you cozy. Enjoy movie nights with a beamer and speaker for extra entertainment. Outside, a spacious wooden deck with a sun lounger, outdoor dining table, BBQ, pizza oven, and a stunning lake view awaits. For dog owners: the property is fenced😊

Thor Heste guest house

Our guest house with original old elements, is located in Gees in a centuries-old sheepfold that belongs to our farm from 1748. It is a double guest room with living area and kitchen, a spacious bedroom and a bathroom. Through the garden doors you have access to the private terrace. Directly from the accommodation there are plenty of hiking and cycling opportunities in the beautiful nature around Gees. A walk through the centuries-old village with its Saxon farms is also recommended.

Estate in the center of Assen

Have you always wanted to stay on an estate with a special family history? Then come to Landgoed Overcingel. Experience the peace and space, which was normal then, in a modern setting. In 2024, this estate was transferred from a centuries-old family tradition to the Drenths landscape. Partly to preserve the estate, it was decided to partially convert it into an attractive B&B. Come and stay with the friendly hostess who will welcome you and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Space in beautiful location under a thatched roof, equipped with every luxury. Come and stay with us in front of the farm. We are renting out two bedrooms with box-spring beds. Furthermore, you will find a wonderful sauna next to the bathroom. The rooms and living area (>60 m2) have A/C. A fifth bed, crib or high chair is available for a fee. You can prepare your own breakfast in the kitchen. Recently all beds have been replaced, bathroom renovated and garden renovated.

In a unique location near the center of Emmen is apartment "De Uil". The luxury apartment is equipped with every comfort, it is spacious and bright. You have a private shed for your bikes. As of April 2024, we have a large balcony with a beautiful view over the pond. There is also a picnic bench on the ground floor. Do you have an electric car? No problem.
