Holiday rentals with lake access in Smallingerland

We got excellent instructions from Steffen about check in, besides this house is nice, cosy, we got there everything what we need. I highly recommended that place to stay! Thank you!

Had a lovely weekend in a nice house. Kitchen is well equipped. It looks neat and is clean.

Even though we had a very wet weekend, we had many opportunities to have a good time. Whether it was on the boat, in the village, where you could sit very comfortably everywhere, or of course in Anneke's house. Everything was available there, just like at home, and we always made ourselves comfortable in the evening with the family. Thanks for the stay.

A fantastic vacation home with incredibly warm landlords. We had a wonderful time with 2 toddlers, 4 adults and our senior dog. Super equipped kitchen, cozy living room, comfortable beds and a great terrace let you spend a wonderful vacation. Many beautiful experiences are possible around Grou, for people of all ages. But the best thing was the unconditional willingness to help when we were stranded because unfortunately the car key ended up in the trunk, the car locked! Everything in it! And we now had to drive to Germany with car 2 to get a spare key… Thank you Auke & Marie Christine that we were allowed to wait safely with you 🙏

We felt very comfortable at the place and were able to enjoy the holiday with our two teenage children from the first minute. Perfectly suited as a starting point for visiting surrounding cities. Check-in with Marjan was warm and friendly. Thank you for the great holiday!

A very friendly welcome in a beautiful quiet Frisian place. Living in a well-kept old Frisian house, close to the water, has I liked it very much. If you are looking for relaxation, you are in good hands in Grou.

Had a great time. We had beautiful weather, but the hot tub was still nice, especially for the kids. Close to the water and a lot to do nearby for those looking for.

We had a great week at Geert's place. The location is great for bike tours in the area. In general, this area is definitely worth a trip. The accommodation is fantastically beautiful on a small lake. Everything is clean and well maintained. Very stylishly furnished and super clean. Geert is very friendly and helpful. All in all, a very successful holiday. Thank you. We'll be back...

It was a great stay in a very nice AirBnB! It’s spacious, has a nice view with a nice bbq opportunity. The surrounding has lots to do and everything was walkable. Our group had a blast. Thank you so much for the great stay.

Apartment "De Beuk" is very nice with a beautiful view over the water. The interior is modern and what we really liked are the details that made us feel welcome: capsules for the Nespresso machine, filter coffee and tea bags with different types of tea. The communication with hostess Nynke prior to and during the stay was open, cheerful, friendly and clear. This also applies to reception and departure. The family's rental company on the ground floor for kayaks, motorboats, sleds and bicycles makes making an active trip very easy.

Mark was a very helpful host. Since we arrived by boat, he sent us a small video movie to find us from the apartment to his boat mooring. In addition, he provided us with bedding at short notice, which we unfortunately forgot at home. The apartment corresponded exactly to the pictures. We would love to come again.

It's a cute little apartment with good beds, a nice shower and beautiful views! There is all sorts of things. Stairs are a challenge with small kids, for our daughter of 6 it was just fine. The communication was very nice!

The place is realy nice! We had a family weekend with 7 persons and the aparment was spacy, clean, quiet and comfortable. We could not see the lake, but because the apartment is situated on the first floor, we could see a lot.

Beautiful place in surprising location. Ideal as a base to discover Eastermar and the rest of Friesland. Marten and his family are super welcoming and helpful. The location and the apartments are pearls in the cap. The whole family is working hard to make this place even more beautiful. Jan-Warner's apartment in one word: magnificent! A bright, light-flooded, tasteful, modern, furnished apartment. Of course, everything was clean and functional. For example, we have never found such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation apartment. The whole apartment is furnished with attention to detail. But the location is unbeatable! Directly on the Sneeker Meer, at the corner of Princess Margret Canal and Starter Eiland. And in the apartment or on the terrace, an unobstructed view of the colorful hustle and bustle of the sailing and motor boats, as well as the commercial shipping. Even in bad weather, it was never boring with this view. Beautiful tours through the Frisian villages and lakes are possible by bike in the immediate vicinity. It is just 15-20 minutes by bike to Sneek itself.

The apartment has a great location! Surroundings is quiet and you have many excursion options. We felt very comfortable and missed almost nothing. (Except a hair dryer) The highlight is the view of the water and the little garden!

We spent almost two wonderful weeks at this accommodation with four adults and an 8-month-old baby. The house was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well-equipped – we didn’t miss a thing. We felt comfortable and at home from the very beginning. The location is perfect: close to Groningen and not far from the sea, offering a great mix of activities and relaxation. Whether you want to explore the area or just unwind, this place has it all. We highly recommend it and would gladly come back anytime!

Highly recommend! Staying at this Airbnb was just amazing! The place was exactly as described in the pictures – clean, stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. By bike or car you can quickly get to Groningen, where you can do numerous activities! Our highlight was the hot tub, which was used diligently. We would come back.

We booked the accommodation very spontaneously and felt very comfortable. Communication with Simon went great and he always helped us quickly with our request. We particularly liked the fact that we were flexible with the arrival and departure in the accommodation. Thank you - we will be back :)

Absolutely a highlight! What a lovely home with lots of privacy, well appointed kitchen with good stuff and lovely beds. Beautiful boat rented and sauna on the water was really great!

We had a wonderful time at the Waldhaus! We particularly liked the terrace - we were able to spend many cozy hours there and enjoy the tranquility of nature. We immediately felt comfortable and were able to unwind wonderfully. We will be happy to come back!

We had a great stay in the tiny house. Mariska is a nice host with great communication. Highly recommended. Another culinary tip: eat at the Grand Cafe Kade. Delicious fish, top service.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location right on the water was particularly nice, which is why we also took the opportunity to rent a boat.

We had wonderful days with Tineke and family as a family of three. Great area to spend an active holiday (preferably on the bike) or to find peace and relaxation in the house and sauna in bad weather.
