Holiday rentals with a patio in Sonafluca

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—close to a variety of tours, great places to eat, and local attractions. One of our favorite spots, El Salto (the rope swing), was just a 5-minute walk away! The space itself was cozy, comfortable, and very welcoming. We especially enjoyed spotting hummingbirds around the property and catching views of the volcano on clear days—such a treat! Everything about our stay was incredible. The only small note is that the place provides two body towels, which may be a bit limiting for longer stays. It’s also helpful to bring your own quick-dry towels for excursions, as the provided ones aren’t allowed outside the property. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience and we’d definitely come back!

Super clean and modern apartment. In the middle in nature, I love the quietness of the place. Saw some animals near the Airbnb as well.

First of all, Isaac is a phenomenal host. He is super proactive and does not mind helping you anyway he can, be it via suggestions or trips. As for the apartment itself, it’s basically what you see in the pictures. It’s part of a larger complex, so if your neighbors are being loud, you will hear the noise quite clearly. But other than that, its a great apartment, close to La Fortuna’s center

This is a great base to stay in in La Fortuna either short or long term. You'll be staying on the same property as the host but you'll still have full privacy. The apartment has everything you'll need to cook yourself or even do some work remotely. I felt that it looked bigger than in the pictures. You'll also be just a 5 minute walk away from the central town square and its restaurants and shops.

The home was beautifully decorated & clean with an AMAZING view of the volcano! Yana was very attentive! Would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed staying here. The setting in the middle of the rainforest is amazing—super quiet and surrounded by nature. The hammock was a nice touch and a great spot to relax. It feels remote, but it’s actually really close to town—just a quick drive or an easy walk. Would definitely stay again.

! Our family of six had a fantastic time at the Arenal Dream Lodge. The location was ideal—just a short 10-minute drive to town, making it easy to access restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The views of the Arenal Volcano were absolutely breathtaking and made for a truly memorable backdrop to our stay. The lodge is in a small, gated community of just three homes, which felt very private and safe. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Wagner was an outstanding host—his communication was prompt, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Arenal area!

We found the house, property, location and pool to be perfection. Tranquil, while minutes from so many things (coffee tours, hot springs, the lively La Fortuna town).

Absolutely LOVED our stay here. Felt right at home, beautiful surroundings and views, very close market, short drive to town, and close to the must see/do activities. Would definitely recommend to anyone and stay here again. Anyone on the fence, just book it, you will not be disappointed!

Fue una experiencia muy bonita , la casa equipada con lo necesario. Además lo de tener parrilla en la casa es perfecto para poder compartir en familia un asado, muy limpio y ordenado. Me hubiera encantado una licuadora pero por todo lo demás excelente.

Very nice house. Clean and family friendly. Kitchen is nice. There are a lot of bugs in the rain forest so keep the windows closed! Coming from Florida USA so bugs are normal, but if you are not use to the tropics then bring bug spray for mosquitos. If you are from CR, like my partner, then you already know to keep doors and windows shut especially at night. AC was nice to have after a long day of being outside. Very close to hot springs. The markets and restaurants are great. Overall this place is really nice for a chill small group of people. This stay made our small family reunion feel comfortable and complete. It was 6 and 1/2 of us (1 baby) but this place is actually bigger than we thought. Very spacious and more than enough bed space. House keeping rules are simple. AC off when you leave the house to save for the environment! I hope who ever reads this has a great time like we did! Thank you John and Tati for your great hospitality.

We loved our stay in La fortuna! Excellent location. We loved that it was peaceful, the house was so beautiful. Daniel & Andres were responsive and they helped us book some of our excursions. It was my mom’s birthday and they helped me arrange a private chef with mariachis to surprise my mother. We had an excellent time and we already can’t wait to go back to visit again. I can’t thank you enough for everything! 💜

This house provided a magical time in La Fortuna! It was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed the pool and the quiet neighborhood. It was a short drive to the small town and we loved every second of its please note bugs get in no matter how much you try to keep them out! Embrace them! Also, the comforters were a little small for our liking, I would have preferred a full size for my husband and I to share instead of 2 small sheets. Besides that, it was perfect!

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Monstera House. The home is exactly as described in the listing. The bathroom is so beautiful, the pool was spotless, and the rest of the house was amazingly clean. Sandra cooked us a Costa Rican breakfast every morning, which was such a sweet addition to our stay. We drove about 15 minutes every evening to get to La Fortuna for dinner, and about 30min-1hour for excursions in the morning near La Fortuna. Ubers are very accessible in the area, which we took often to dinner. Sandra was very helpful and responded very quickly. We can’t recommend this Airbnb enough!!

Where can I start....This is my first time to La Fortuna and we had a great vacation with the help of Gregory. Gregory's is a great host and his property is one of a kind which suits well for La Fortuna environment with lot of nature to enjoy inside his property. He helped in almost everything including recommending a nice Chef Gabriel.

Cristian was a great host, very friendly, flexible. the place was very good will book again.

Found our stay at the apartment comfortable and enjoyable. The place was spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were spacious and the mattresses comfortable as were the sofas in the living space. It was an ideal location for our base for the week, close to town and restaurants, but also perfect as a sanctuary from some spectacular rain and thunderstorms that would roll in. We never really used the kitchen for cooking but it had all the amenities. The shower had good water pressure and hot water if needed. Our hosts were very friendly and responsive to any questions. If we needed it, fresh towels and sheets were available as was a tidy and clean of the garbage and bathroom from the helpful lady who worked there. We stayed for just over a week and would happily return and recommend to others.

Gut gelegene Wohnung mit allem was mach brauch und einer schönen Terasse! Alles fußläufig gut erreichbar! Die Kommunikation war einfach und nett! 👍🏻 :-)

El alojamiento fue exactamente como estaba descrito. La zona es muy tranquila, perfecta para desconectarse del mundo y descansar. Estuve allí con mi familia y todos disfrutamos muchísimo. Las camas son súper cómodas y todo estaba impecablemente limpio. Sin duda, un lugar al que nos encantaría volver.

Es un condominio muy bonito y se ajusta a una familia de 5 a 6 personas muy bien equipado y todo funcional. Las camas muy cómodas y cada cuarto con su baño. Sin duda volveremos en cualquier momento. Muchas gracias por su hospitalidad.
