Simple, clean accommodations serve as your home base for exploring the beautiful property, shoreline and the bounties of our scenic local region. All cabins come equipped with basic provisions for a comfortable stay. Leave the distractions of modern day behind as you return to the way vacations were meant to be.

Early Riser barn-loft on Organic farm near Acadia

A unique offering for those who want a true farm experience! A clean, rustic above-barn space. Farm animals live below-Mr Teach the roo may crow (early!) chickens will cluck! There is a 2 burner stove, cold water sink seasonally(jugs provided in winter) a dorm fridge, and basic kitchen ware. Tea and coffee provided, veg & eggs for sale. The shower is at the main house, (either indoor or outdoor) and a bucket-style compost toilet is in the apartment. There’s a full bed and a fold out couch.

Treetop sleeps 2, or 3 in a pinch. Must discuss well behaved children 6 or older as the deck is high. Owners/guests use garage/laundry below the studio. Escape the tourist madness of Bar Harbor at your own private tidal cove. Camp with the comforts of home, water, power and Wifi. Outdoor grill, awning and lobster cooker for the complete Maine experience. After a hard day of hiking relax by fire pit. The Schoodic National Scenic Byway is on the far side of Long Cove, and you can hear some traffic noise from outside the RV, but for complete silence check out my other two places by looking at "about me" on my profile.

SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

We have an open, airy studio apartment with a queen bed, twin bed, and twin trundle under the twin, private bathroom and full kitchen, located approximately 25 miles, or about a 40 minute drive, from Acadia National Park. Pets are welcome as we have a small fenced in area in the backyard. Bring home a lobster and cook it in the fully furnished kitchen.
