Kid-friendly holiday rentals in South Congress, Austin

If you're traveling to the Austin area, I HIGHLY recommend booking this AirBnB! It is so conveniently located (less than a 10 minute drive to downtown, or you could take a Lime scooter!) while also being away from the hustle and bustle. Lauren also goes above and beyond and provides a doc full of recommendation of things to do and places to eat which was so helpful!! Definitely one of the best AirBnBs I've stayed at in recent memory. Highly recommend!

Allison and Cody were excellent hosts. Very communicative and detail oriented. The home was beautiful and so calming. The pool was wonderful on the warm days we were there. Would gladly stay there again!

We had a great stay at this home and really appreciated how communicative the host was-always quick to respond to any questions. The home felt very “lived in,” which we actually appreciated for a kid-friendly stay. The photos were accurate overall, though the exterior was more overgrown than expected and the trampoline looked a bit “play at your own risk.” That said, our kids had an amazing time with the seemingly endless toys, and it was a huge relief not having to bring bulky items like a stroller or a Pack ‘n Play, since they’re here. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C kept us cool during a hot Austin weekend, and having a good washer/dryer made life easier. The location is definitely a strong point—easy access to some great local spots, including Launderette and Bufalina, both of which we’d highly recommend. Check-out was simple. Our only real suggestion would be a deeper cleaning refresh to match the overall comfort and utility. This place is equipped for families!

I had the perfect stay here! William was very responsive and helpful. The place is a 2 minute walk to The Palmer Event Center and in the cutest neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Love this little house! We’ve stayed here twice with our family of four, and it’s perfect. Great location and very clean… love the minimal decor and the fact that the house and linens aren’t full of fragrance… might not matter to everyone but we really appreciate that :)

The place was incredibly clean, from the sparkling bathrooms to the comfortable beds, which ensured a restful night’s sleep. The backyard was surprisingly spacious and a great spot to relax. It’s also ideally located, only 15 minutes from downtown Austin, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. Had an awesome stay in The Austin Texas House! The place was super clean and comfy, and the location was perfect!!! just a short walk to our favorite restaurant. I got to meet Chris and he was super friendly and welcoming, plus we got to meet his sweet dog Mika too! Really appreciated the hospitality. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in town!

Christopher was a great host. Once of the best we have ever worked with. Hospitality was truly amazing. He accommodated well and was very responsive to any questions we had. Apartment was very clean! In our opinion better than the pictures. Instructions were clear and apartment easy to find. Bathroom was beautiful and equipped with everything we might need. Kitchen was clean and stocked. AC was cold and lighting was perfect! For us the beds were a bit stiff but I have a bad back so honestly it’s not a fair opinion. Pool was well maintained. We have a baby and initially I was worried about how busy the pool was and noise that came with that, but by dark everyone was gone and no one was over the top noisy. Neighbors were very quiet and respectful. Our unit was on the third floor so if you have kids or have a lot of luggage be ready to be out of breath! 😂😂 overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back when in town!

Jane was more than accommodating and went the extra mile to bring my pup some treats on our second day of the trip. My puppy had found some thing to disassemble while I was out on business and Jane an agreeable and negotiable as I promised to pay for anything that needed to be replaced. She didn’t even request any amount as to what I need to pay so I paid what I deemed a fair amount would be and she was more than agreeable with what I had offered. 10-10 would definitely recommend and would stay here anytime I was in town.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless—super clean and well-maintained, which made it feel really comfortable and welcoming. One of the best parts was how easy it was to access—being on the first floor made coming and going a breeze. Everything was just as described, and I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I spent almost 2 months staying in the apartment. It has an excellent location, strong and quick to cool AC, and plenty quiet apartment complex. Beyond maybe some miscellaneous silverware, the kitchen had everything I needed to cook and eat. Although I usually brought home takeout from the yummy restaurants around Austin! One additional benefit, the driverless Waymo cars pick up in that neighborhood and take you all around downtown. Super fun!

I had booked this place at the last minute, and I was carrying a few boxes with me, I am truly thankful for Kim helped me to let me in earlier I don’t have to carry boxes and waiting outside ! This Airbnb has the best location. Walking distance to Zilker park and downtown. Additionally, with the separate entrance, you don’t need to enter other house. It’s on the second floor, you have all the privacy to yourself, how convenient! The room look exactly like in the picture, very clean , neat and nicely decorated. I had a pleasant stay there.

Very great location! Nice and quiet, and in a great neighrbood, I had my family stay here while visiting Austin and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Mary was accommodating and so sweet. She graciously allowed my sister and I to check in a little early and even extended our check out. I mentioned we were out of coffee and she came right over to deliver more. The place itself was cozy and conveniently located it a charming neighborhood. Cactus Bloom is truly a hidden gem 💎 we can't wait to stay again!

I recently enjoyed this stay, and it was everything I hoped for, relaxing, refreshing, and absolutely perfect! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and peaceful. The building accommodations were spot on, and provided all the comforts of home with an added touch of luxury. I loved the bar (for drinks and coffee) downstairs. Friendly and attentive staff without being intrusive. Parking was by (24/7) valet or paid street parking only. I highly recommend this stay to anyone wanting the downtown Austin vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at Cannon’s place. The location is fantastic with easy and quick access to Barton Springs pool and trails. The studio has all the necessary amenities, is quiet and secure , and has a convenient local store next door. Perfect for a long weekend. Would book again.
