Kid-friendly holiday rentals in South Haven Township

This is our 3rd year in a row to come for an extended Labor Day weekend and bring our kids and/or grandkids. We love the setting. The pool is perfect for the younger kids and the adults appreciate the beauty of all the surroundings, including at poolside. If we could change anything at all we would add another bedroom as we can't quite get all of our extended family here at one time. That said, we would like to return for a 4th year at Labor Day weekend time next year. The combination of beauty, privacy, amenities, condition (always in great shape!), and proximity to lovely South Haven can hardly be beat!

These past two nights at Windover have been absolutely beautiful. The view was simply breathtaking, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Our host was incredibly helpful, making everything even more pleasant. The house was spotless, and we felt right at home. It's definitely a place worth visiting, and we'd love to return someday!"

We really enjoyed our time in South Haven. Mickie and John's home was great. It was super clean. Stocked necessities. The location was close to everything! We will definitely be back!

The house was better than the photos. Very clean, great location, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Large enough house for all 11 of us. Could have used a few more towels, there was exactly 11 towels for us, but otherwise fantastic stay and would highly recommend to anyone staying in South Haven!

This house looks just like the pictures. It was perfect for our family of four (which includes two teens). The hosts left a sweet welcome note, coffee, oatmeal packets, snacks and a bottle of wine! How welcoming!! That’s the first time I’ve seen that at an AirBnB. Parking is in a garage which was nice. We didn’t use the grill but my husband and son used the corn hole set in the backyard. Closet was full of games, washer and dryer are full size, kitchen had lots of kitchen stuff. They provide beach towels and chairs which was so helpful. The only thing I wish we had was more pillows on the beds. The house is a short drive from downtown and the beach. My husband and I walked to town for coffee one morning which was lovely. The neighborhood is quiet like a normal neighborhood - not a busy, touristy place.

I am so lucky we found this amazing place for our entire family to stay for my daughter’s wedding in South Haven. It was perfect for us. Far enough away from town to be peaceful and relaxing, but close enough to get there fast (and run back if forth when we forget things repeatedly). Everything we needed was there and the place is beautiful and super clean. There’s something there for everyone… hot tub, games, televisions in multiple rooms, fire pit, everything. And plenty of room not to feel like you’re sharing space with as many people as you are! Highly recommend!

This is a very cute air bnb and is worth the trip if you are wanting more of a relaxing get away!

We just left mikes place and are already planning when we can go back! We did a girls weekend in south haven and the backyard and pool area were immaculate. It was sunny and 90+ degrees all weekend so we did not leave the pool! It was wonderful, clean, and peaceful. Definitely coming back as soon as we can for another girls weekend!

We picked This spot for its location and everything else fell into place. if you have anything to do at Notre Dame this is the place to stay.

Maybe the best Airbnb attached to someone’s home that I’ve ever stayed in. Such a sweet set up. Very comfortable, clean, private. Thankful for the keurig for coffee and water bottles in the frig. My stay was short but very restful and waking up to have my morning coffee out on the deck and watch the river and the birds was the highlight of my stay. Mark was very good with communicating and gave clear instructions. The Airbnb was easy to find, even in the dark. Of course being attached to their home there was a bit of noise from the kids in the morning but that wasn’t until after 9am and didn’t bother me at all. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

This is a really good location for those wanting to be between Saugatuck and Holland. The one thing I want to point out is how much daylight comes in very early in the morning. If you like to sleep in a little, good luck! Other than that, Beth’s place was cozy, comfy and very clean.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was even more beautiful that the pictures showed, and was in a quiet, peaceful area. Close distance to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. Also is ~10 min to Virtue Cider and Fenn Valley Winery. It was the perfect spot for my partner and I, and our two dogs. Sara was an awesome host and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

This place is a great option if you’re traveling alone or as a couple, though it might get a bit tight for the latter case. I had an event at South Bend’s downtown convention center, and it was a super easy walk! Theresa was proactive in reaching out to make sure my check-in would go ok, and the place was well kept. She even placed pamphlets of things to do and places to visit around south bend in the unit. While I personally didn’t have time to flip through and find other things to do, it was a very nice touch!

Our stay was great! Our needs were met and our host were responsive and very friendly! The apartment was very clean.I only had one problem. I wished the shower wasn't in one of the 2 bedroom to be shared by both guest. So we wouldn't have to disturb each other to get a shower, other then that our stay was great!

We are not the most traveled couple, but this place ranks among our favorites. It truly did feel like home. Everything was top quality from the linens, to the towels, even the toilet paper. The kitchen had absolutely everything and more. Pantry and Fridge was well stocked with basics and it was a joy to cook breakfast every morning. The property is stunning with beautiful landscaping and gardens. We were in the area for the weekend to visit friends at a campground just up the road, and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

The mother in law suite was perfect for my husband and I during our mini get away. The location was perfectly in the middle where we were able to visit both Holland and Saugatuk. It is smaller than expected but doesn’t feel crowded, it’s the right size for 2 people. The location is very quiet and private, and parking is right by the door. I believe it is a shared space to the house next door, but that was no biggie. As far as the highway noise, didn’t bother us at all. Being from the city, we are used to it but they did have a white noise machine which we tried out and worked well. Quiet, private & clean. 10/10.

This was a great little place for a last minute get away! I appreciated that we could travel with our dog. It was also nice to have access to the pool across the street. My teenagers enjoyed that. The place was clean and in a great centralized location! The only thing I didn't realize is that the bathroom is attached to the bedroom so if you're traveling with more than two people, they will need to walk through your bedroom to get to the bathroom.

This was a great location. very close to downtown. You could walk downtown rather than trying to find a parking space. The view was great. we didn't have a problem with noise, but we stayed in February so there weren't neighbors. The shops and restaurants were still vibrant and had a good amount of people. The place was very clean and comfortable. had some trouble finding the place. There is a different address on the front of tow building. the correct address was on the door. The hosts were repaonsive and helpful. We had a great stay.

The condo was as advertised. Clean, organized, quiet and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our annual family visit.

This was the perfect place for us! It was only a few minutes drive from downtown. Could walk to the beach if you wanted. Kitchen had all the amenities. We didn't get to use the outdoor areas due to the time of year but would be so nice in another season. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Beaches are clean and sunsets are beautiful. It's only about a 30 minute or less drive to St. Josephs, Benton Harbor, Saugatuck, Holland. We did them all! Would definitely stay here again!

This was the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. If there is an award for best kep Airbnb ...Sharon should receive it. Clean, beautifully decorated, just the right amount of amenities., quiet. We felt at home the moment we walked in. Highly recommend

Very convenient place to stay. So much to see and do. We enjoyed Saugatuck shops and beaches, sunset tour from Douglas, Holland market, downtown shops and Windmill Island, and we even went as far as Grand Rapids to Meijer Botanical and Sculpture Garden and Grand Haven Musical Fountain. The place was very easy to find with clear instructions. Brenden was very responsive anytime we reached out to him.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our short 2 night midweek stay here. Excellent location that is close to the beach and downtown Saugatuck. The heated pool and gas fire pits were really nice after we got back from a day of exploring the area. Isabel’s was just a short walk across the parking lot - great bakery, coffee shop, and market with unique foodie options. We would love to come back here.

Catherine's Beach House was the perfect place to stay for our fall trip to South Haven. It was close to the area beaches, shops and other amenities. The Beach House has everything plus more! My little ones loved the children's toys and books that were available. We cooked all of our meals at Catherine's place which was a huge plus. The host went above and beyond with information about local events, places to visit and restaurants to try. Catherine was responsive and incredibly kind. We hope to visit the Beach House again soon!
