Holiday rentals with breakfast in South Lakeland District

John was the perfect host, readily available and very helpful. The house was lovely, but what was also unique was all the small added touches John arranged for our arrival like fresh produce in the fridge, full bowl of fruit, large assortment of chocolate, nuts and other items, even new toothbrushes if you needed them along with many other things that you don’t normally expect. House is in a great position, very close to the town centre. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely little home, nice and clean plus very cosy. I loved the decor can tell Samantha has put alot of thought into the place. Great sized rooms with clean comfy beds. Friendly and responsive host, can't really ask for more everything was great. Would absolutely stay again.

Perfect stay for visiting family in the area. Naomi was very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Halfpenny cottage! Very spacious but still cozy. Situated in a self catering area, so felt very safe. And surrounded by the beautiful fells! All the utensils and amenities we needed were provided. Lewis was great at clearly communicating instructions so check in was very smooth and we felt we could reach out if there were any concerns. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a retreat in the Lakes!

A lovely, cosy cottage that had everything we needed and made us feel right at home. We really appreciated the helpful welcome pack and extra touches. Jontti was great communication-wise. We loved our stay and were sorry to say goodbye to the Gamekeeper's Cottage. Hopefully we'll get a chance to re-visit again.

A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

Jacqueline's space strikes a great balance between cozy (I think that would be be cosy in the UK) and carefully curated. I am sorry we only got to stay one night, because I think it would be a great place to relax and unwind. She has provided everything one might need to be comfortable and prepared to cook and eat--including some breakfast items, teas and coffees. The furnishings and art are lovely, highly personal and well coordinated. The whole vibe is still just so much about comfort! Jacqueline gave us some ideas around eating dinner out, and we found some other spots on our own, including a small local market for sparkling water, wine, etc. We could not have asked for a better experience in Colne.

Overall it was a really wonderful stay! We loved it! Judith was very communicative and the welcome package was very kind! My only complaint would be that the beds--both the one in the main bedroom and the pull out sofa--were uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in your back all night long. But other than that, the place was great!

I stayed at Bleasdale Apartment as a single guest. The apartment was stunning, well equipped and extremely clean with beautiful decor and furnishings. The appliances were of top quality and easy to use. Very comfortable king size bed. I enjoyed a fabulous full cooked breakfast in the Priory, it was delicious. Very friendly host and staff. I will definitely stay again . Simply perfect. ❤️

we know the area fairly well, and our usual place wasn't available on the dates we needed. this was perfect for our stay. The fluffy towels and great shower were lovely. basic supplies provided, and a chocolate cake :-) Bed is very comfortable too, we slept extremely well The local pub was recommended, The Stag Inn, Dufton and we had already booked ahead, for our first meal. (sirloin steak and corned beef and onion pie) We had a roast in The Mason's Arms in Long Marton on Sunday evening with our friends and it was delicious. 2 years since our last meal in there and it lived up to our expectations. we would stay here again.

This place was amazing extremely spacious and had everything you needed. Was local to everything we needed 5 min walk to the pleasure beach the sandcastle the beach aswell as the south pier arcades. Lots of food places and bars close by aswell. The place was spotless beds were comfortable and clean the whole place we could Not fault at all would definitely recommend and stay again.

A private spot in a unique setting; wide views over the valley. Well situated for local pubs, cafe and bus stop for regular services into Hebden Bridge. You really don't need to use your car whilst staying here. Fabulous walks on the doorstep.

We loved our stay at Gina’s and hope to come back sometime soon. Hebden Bridge is a friendly, charming village - so lovely - and Gina’s place above her fused glass studio is so pretty and filled with light and pops of color. We could walk all over, including in a nearby park and along the river. Thank you, Gina!

Jenny was a great host. Thoughtful and responsive. Great location for an easy walk into Hebden Bridge - right next to the canal towpath. Good public transport links too.

Brian made this weekend escape special. He was so communicative and helpful both ahead of our stay and during. The farmhouse is an authentic Westmorland 18th Century building with many original features. Our room and bathroom were private and cosy. Breakfasts were the perfect start to the day. Tea and coffee was also available in our room. Location was superb with a short walk to the local pub, The Punchbowl, a gastro pub with award winning fayre. Brian and I shared the same birthday (day and year), so we had lots in common. The cats were a great hit, with guaranteed cuddles and no claws. In summary, a great spot for a mini break in the Lake District!

I could not have been happier at Jacqueline and Geoff's place. absolutely beautiful, nice and clean. nice and friendly all that I could ask for!!

Ambleside and the location of the accommodation were excellent. Andy was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast set me up for a big day out. Dietary requirements were easily met withour any fuss. The room was comfortable and cosy.

Thank you Wendy and Tony for a lovely stay. The beautiful countryside and the peace and quiet were exactly what I wanted. Your hospitality was delightful. You were excellent hosts and I hope to visit again.

Philippa was very welcoming to us into her beautiful property. Perfectly decorated and spotlessly clean. Philippa was quick to respond to any query and very accommodating, she made us feel right at home. The property is in a beautiful location and feels very private like your own home from home. The room and bathroom were lovely, clean and spacious. The dining area was beautifully decorated with a lovely view of the garden. All topped off with a delicious hand made breakfast. ( And two very cute, friendly dogs 😊)

Penny’s place was amazing to stay at. The stay was everything we could ask for. The place is settled at the top of Penrith and remains rather quiet. She had several breakfast options at the bedside and gave several options of places to eat. Penny is a top notch host and a great conversationist. We hope to stay here again in the future.
