Holiday rentals with a fireplace in South Wairarapa District

Lovely spacious house in rural setting close to town. Comfortable and extra cosy with fireplace roaring. Well equipped kitchen. Great outdoor spaces to relax in the sun with a lovely outlook. Bonus to be able to have our dog with us. Carol is friendly and also responded quickly when we have a couple of queries. Short drive to Henley Lake which is a great dog friendly area to run and walk.

An absolutely perfect and peaceful getaway with thoughtful additions on arrival - fresh bread, fruit and eggs. Stunning country views, spacious living and outside deck area, complete with a BBQ, this spot is just what you need to get away for a few days. Thanks, Jill. Absolutely stunning house - our family loved staying at Amanda’s beautiful home. The meticulous attention to detail was wonderful - we arrived Friday night , the fire was set, there was a bottle of wine , bread, milk - everything you need. We so appreciated the use of the bikes and loved the vista across the vines. Was especially appreciative being able to bring our dog. This is a very special home - our family had a wonderful time here - thank you so much Amanda we would love to come back.

Awesome stay in martinborough. Easily housed our large crowd of eight. Clean, pristine, and a great location to walk to the local wineries. Would happily recommend this Airbnb!

We had a lovely stay at Anne's. The house was spotless and spacious, lots of places to sit and chat, both inside and outside. An easy walk into town for cafes. Great communication from Anne and easy check in. We would definitely stay again.

Hidden gem in a beautiful spot - our only regret was not staying longer! It's close to Porirua/Paraparaumu, but involves a slightly steep winding gravel drive so feels like a world away. The surrounding native bush is stunning, and we loved all the cosy little touches (blankets, pre-prepared fireplace, coffee and milk etc). Lots of outdoor space, would be amazing for a longer family getaway in nature. Really appreciated the proactive comms from James & Emma too.

Have stayed in a few Martinborough places , but I think this could be our new go to. Great for 2 couples, or a coupe with a snorer. Or 2 friends. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite which makes it very comfortable and private, and a great large living area and kitchen , with wood burner, which makes it very cosy. Also a nice deck and entertainment outside area if the weather is nice Back from the road, so private and quiet. 5-10 min or so walk to the Square and Breweries etc. Great location. Host was very informative and responsive.

The Toi Too apartment is very cozy and private. Easy walking distance to martinborough town center. The spa was definitely a highlight!

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous villa. The little touches were most appreciated, we loved being able to relax in front of the fireplace enjoying a drink and a sweet treat while flicking through a beautiful book chosen from the huge range on the wall of books! The check in details were given ahead of time and were very clear. We would love to visit this amazing area again and if we did we would certainly look to stay in this tranquil haven again.

La Rocque Cottage in Martinborough is a lovely villa hosted by Megan, who was very friendly and responsive. The house itself was a good size for three adults and a puppy, plus it was clean, comfortable, and easy to heat on a chilly day. The propery is also fully fenced, which was great for our puppy. We had a lovely weekend away and recommend La Rocque Cottage for your next weekend away in Martinborough!

Our stay was incredible the surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful I would stay for weeks. The home was furnished like a home which is always nice for an Airbnb. One touch that would have been great would be having some body wash and shampoo and conditioner available for guests. Other than that everything was amazing. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to Martinborough if you want to head into town and visit the wineries. But the home has everything you need that it makes you want to get back there as soon as you can. I would recommend taking food and drink and simply relaxing.

We had a fantastic stay! The hot tub was ready and warm on arrival, which is a rare treat as it’s often an extra cost and slow to heat up elsewhere. The house was clean, tidy, and spacious, with hotel-quality linen and towels that made it feel more like a boutique stay than someone else’s home. The location is perfect. An easy walk to the town square with a supermarket, cafés, restaurants, and a playground for the kids. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing family getaway. Check-in was seamless and communication with Tania was smooth and easy. Would definitely stay again!

Once again, this has to be one of the best places to stay in Masterton. Close to all the amenities and the house itself is very roomy and has everything you could want for a comfortable stay - even a swimming pool and barbecue. Highly Recommend.
