Tent holiday accommodation in Southern Africa

Amazing location thanks Natalie we will definitely be back. Incredible views with direct access to Karatara river and Swartvlei. Beautiful kayaking or sailing spot with lots of birdlife. Simple facilities provided exactly as the description lists but you really don't need anything more.

A little gem in the woods… lovely to break away from city life and people… you might just find a rain spider lurking in the room but they are totally harmless and you can catch and release with the handy spider catcher provided. (For real) We didn’t find one! It was peaceful and beautiful!

An absolute gem! Unspoilt nature in rustic yet extremely comfortable, well maintained and clean accommodation. Although power sources are solar and gas, you still have all the comforts of home - just better because it is so amazingly quiet and peaceful…and the stars…oh, my goodness…incredible night sky!!

A perfect little hideaway .. Theresa had thought of everything from a hot water bottle to Lindt choccies on our pillow! A true little gem .. everything was wonderful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We absolutely loved our stay. The landscape was stunning. Walks were so pretty and the cleaning staff were an complete treat!

This campsite is in a wonderful spot, it is spotless clean and host is friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the local area. It can be a stop off on Garden route or a base for a longer stay. We will be back ;-)

We had a fantastic time at Galago Bush camp. It was exactly what we were looking for - an experience of camping in the bush with simple comforts. Once we knew the route it was quick and easy to get to the beach, and lovely to come back for a refreshing outdoor shower and shade under the trees. We also enjoyed the bush babies, butterflies and birds. Thank you so much Barbara and Leon!

We had such a great stay at Jacqui and Chris’s Tintin cabin! It was absolutely phenomenal. The cabins were intimate and cozy, perfect for a couples retreat! Jacqui and Chris really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! They were extremely professional yet still had that locally-run, family business charm. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away.

We had a great stay, thanks. The smaller tents were a little tight for big grown boys and their bags but they managed. Bigger tent was much more spacious. All in all, it was a great experience.

A peaceful stay with scenic views of the Swartvlei lake, although in close proximity to Sedgefield, it feels as if you are in the deep Wilderness away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and towns. Tents are very spacious and with a comfortable bed. For those early risers make sure to have your coffee/tea ready in hand to take in the breathtaking views of the Sunrise over the Swartvlei lake. A stay to remember and a stay to return to, a great little retreat in the Garden Route

We traveled with our large dog and this accommodation is perfect for pets as the property is fenced off and private. The bed was comfortable and the self catering kitchen well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, we were surrounded by nature and wildlife but still had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing weekend.

We had such a wonderful weekend stay. The tent is amazing and in such a peaceful spot. It is beautifully kitted out with everything that you might need with stunning finishes. Lovely walks around the farm. We were also able to bring our furchild with which was an added bonus. The host was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful, relaxed time away in a beautiful location.

A peaceful and well-designed retreat in the heart of the Klein Karoo. The tented camp is modern, clean, and comfortable, with sweeping views and a strong sense of space and stillness. 🌄⛺ We loved the self-drive safaris, enjoying quiet and unrushed explorations across a vast reserve. Along our journey, we spotted various wildlife, including Kudu, Giraffe, Gemsbok, and Black Wildebeest, as well as an abundance of birdlife. 🚙🦓🦒 The setting is open and natural, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting with the outdoors. It’s pet-friendly — our dogs enjoyed every moment 🐾 — though the camp isn’t enclosed, so do plan ahead. The hosts were welcoming and respectful of privacy, with everything thoughtfully prepared. A great choice for families or small groups seeking a calm, nature-focused escape with just the right balance of comfort and wilderness.

The accommodation is fantastically quiet, perfect for switching off. The pool was super clean and the water crystal clear – a wonderful refreshment after a warm day. Erika visited us in the evening and gave us great, personal tips for our safari in Etosha National Park - that was really helpful and very nice of her. The outdoor kitchen was also particularly nice: fully equipped, we lacked nothing. And sitting under the African starry sky at night is simply magical. An all-round great experience that we can recommend at any time!

Our little family have an awesome time . We stayed for two nights and it was lovely. From the booking to the communication everything was excellent. This family owned place is well managed , run with kindness and grace. We operated the boiler Donkie for the first time and had warm water for showering. It is clean and well taken care off. Great Wi-Fi and all cooking tools were provided. We went for morning walks with the kids and had amazing time. They have a cactus tree a beautiful and rare find. If you looking for a great Glamping experience with the family away from the big city- 2 hours away from Johannesburg. I highly recommend it. We will be coming back soon. What a wonderful break from the city! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view was absolutely stunning, and the tent offered pure relaxation.
