Cottage holiday rentals in Southwest

A fabulous climax to our 10 days in Tassie. Even with strong winds on the first day we were snug in this most private elegantly appointed ‘Boathouse’ with a 270 degree view of the bay through beautiful woodland. There was fresh bread and champagne for our arrival and a variety of pillow types for the bed, which was much appreciated. I saw from the guest book that there are regular visitors who come back every year - it’s no wonder and we hope to be back ourselves.

A wonderful stay, the spa on the deck was particularly fun for our kids, and we loved the wood fire. Warm and cosy stay with beautiful views of the bay.

Beautiful property with incredible scenery. The perfect spot for anyone looking to relax and disconnect in nature. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hundred Acre Hideaway. The accommodation is clean and homey, and the barrel was amazing. Charlie was very welcoming and made sure we knew how to use the barrel.

The property was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts were responsive. There was a small issue with a leaking tap but we managed to resolve it relatively quickly. The location is excellent for anyone who wants easy access to Huonville and Ranelagh. I would stay again.

The cottage was great, super cosy easy to warm with the fireplace or the electric heater. Very well equipped kitchen with a big fridge. Great peaceful location with lots of wildlife and amazing silent nights. We had a great time and would highly recommend the cottage. Jacqueline was super helpful, friendly and a great host. The house was clean and tidy, an ideal location for a few nights

This place is just the sweetest place to stay. Sit on the balcony and watch the chooks by day and pademelons at night. Compact but everything I wanted kitchen. The coolest stairs and wood wall. Close to Woodbridge Village for brekky but also close to Birchs Bay Art Farm, Kettering and not far across to Cygnet too.

The house is perfect for a getaway and the view over Kettering marina and Bruny island are spectacular. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful space.

We loved our stay. The Hive far exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were great communicators and very helpful and kind. The place was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable, generously provisioned and the beds and seating were comfortable. It was a delight to sit up in bed in the morning, or in the lounge room looking out over the bush. The location is great, close to Hobart, Kingston and the Huon A car is essential for exploring. We highly recommend this beautiful property.

The place was well provisioned - and we appreciated the local fruit and beautiful jam and butter. The coffee, milk and hot chocolate selection was equally well curated. The record player was also a welcome bonus.

Thank you for looking after us on our stay. We loved the fire place and the visiting wallabies and also the river with a picnic table that was a quick stroll away. Very peaceful and original.

Very homely place, just a beautiful home. When we arrived the spltsystem was on , so home was very cosy and warm.

Beautiful view from the front deck. Wallabies and birds to view from any of the 3 decks. Well-equiped kitchen, and comfy beds. The wood burning fireplace is a lovely touch too.

We absolutely loved this place and felt both on holiday and also at home. The cottage was sparkling clean and Kym and Kim are such warm and good people and very considerate hosts. The animals are beautiful and so friendly and made our stay extra special. We were extra lucky because we happened to also see a platypus - we will remember this always!
