This house is a gem in the An Spiedal area. The house is super private and in a great location, pretty right on the water with view of Water and Aran islands from the kitchen. I had coffee just staring at the sights every morning. You can walk around there property or take a short walk to the beach front. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The town has just enough stores and restaurants to get by and if needed, Galway is maybe 25 mins away. The hosts communicated well and gave clear instructions, read them all, will be useful on your stay. Whatever you need will be in the instructions they provide. Overall a great place to stay and relax. This was the third Airbnb we stayed in Ireland and by far the best in terms of location and scenery. Do visit Galway and also drive to Kylemore Abbey when you are here, both will not disappoint.

Great location to explore Galway and Connemara. Beach in walking distance. Absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. The space is light and airy with high ceilings. It was sparklingly clean and very well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Lovely extra touches with toiletries and milk in the fridge , even a delicious chocolate cake ! Nothing was too much trouble . Mairead communicated with us before and during our stay , giving us lots of information and checking that everything was ok. On arrival Mairead was there to welcome us and show us around the apartment. She and her husband even organised for a car mechanic to come and check some concerns we had with our hire car ! Just wish we could have stayed longer . Would highly recommend!

I was looking for a quiet and yet beautiful spot to relax . Matthew's place was above and beyond my expectations. I was arriving on my own in Spiddal for the first time and a bit worried about finding the apartment and getting in. Matthew gave me detailed information and pictures of entering the apartment.. It couldn't have been easier!! And so secure. The apartment itself is beautiful. I felt so at home. The views and walks are hard to describe in words, so lovely. People in Spiddal are extremely welcoming. Groceries, pubs and the bus are a few steps away. In a few words, I can't wait to go back and definitely hope I can stay at the apartment. One of my favorite Airbnb stays ever. As someone who’s a bit of a germaphobe, I mean it when I say this place was immaculate and spotlessly clean! The annexe feels more like a private home even though it’s attached to the family’s main home. The cozy first-floor living area and kitchenette, and a spacious upstairs bedroom and large bathroom make you feel right at home. It’s perfectly located—close enough to Galway city center for convenience, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. My favorite spot was the bay window, with its stunning view all the way to the beach. I spent hours curled up there reading—it was the perfect retreat. Marcus and Catriona were phenomenal hosts. We felt so welcomed and cared for, and their quick responses to our (many!) questions made everything so easy. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel like part of the Galway family.
