Holiday rentals with a kayak in Spider Lake

It was exactly as James and Sena described the place. It was a quick drive to Traverse City but far enough away for peacefulness. James and Sena responded to our request for the heat to be turned up right away. They had snacks and all the amenities you could ever want. They also let us take home one of their ceramic pieces which was really sweet of them. (only the ones from the bathroom closet though - don't take their décor.) Diane and Mark Dawdy

The hosts were very responsive and communicative. The AC kind of went out and the hosts promptly got someone out to fix it. The setting was beautiful! We enjoyed a couple days on the boat (Northaire rentals), then did day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island and then a down day with the kayaks and SUP. My husband enjoyed fishing off the Dockside Pier. We enjoyed ice cream at Moomers, local cider at Royal Farms and our best meal at Toonie’s for Friday fish fry. Us southerners should have been better prepared for colder water and later seasons. The longer days also threw us for a loop but still a great first trip to Michigan!

House location was 12/10. Couldn’t have asked for a better home base. Walking distance to trails and sits right on the lake. Kids loved playing in and on the water with the kayaks provided. Would highly recommend the home to family and friends and would stay here anytime our family returns to the area. House was as advertised and Joe was very responsive and offered local trails and areas to eat.

Pure heaven! One of the most peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable stays we’ve had! Pristine interior with outstanding views of lake, every amenity (including beach toys) we could have wanted. The perfect couples getaway to recharge our batteries. Would be great for young families too. Bass Lake is divine for kayaking among the lily pads and loons, watching the sunsets, or just chilling on the deck. My husband was pouting all the way home as we hated to leave. Check-in was super easy, everything was top notch start to finish. Can’t wait to rebook next year.

We were impressed by the comfort and welcome of the little red cabin. The hosts were wonderful, amenities plentiful and the cabin was cozy. We very much enjoyed the fire pit and the rocking Adirondack chairs. The outdoor space allowed us to soak up the sun and gain a quiet break from the city life. Easy to drive around this area + we really enjoyed our time spent at the cabin cooking meals and spending time with our dog (it was so amazing that there were bowls there for him). The location was perfect for us. We look forward to returning for another future visit.

Not even sure where to begin! We booked this for my friends low-key bachelorette party and it was the most perfect place for us to relax and unplug! Shana was an amazing host, always communicating via the app in a very timely manner. The house was pristine and SO cute! It was clean and stocked with everything you could need (paddle board, kayaks, life jackets, wood, spare tooth brushes, ample towels, kitchen items, coffee were some of our favorites). The ONLY complaint - which is to no fault of the host - is that the mosquitos were thick at all hours of the day so be mindful of that :) have already reccomended this place to many friends and hoping I can back here soon too. 10/10 recommend!

The house was clean and comfortable for 4 adults. We loved the location and everything provided. The house had a great outdoor area. It was all we needed for our stay in Cadillac.

Such a beautiful place to stay. My Grandpa owned this property in the 70's and my family was happy to see how well maintained the cottage is and the nature that surrounds it. It was such a blessing for us to come back and visit. Thank you for taking such good care of it.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was stunning! We wished for better weather to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boats, but that was nothing that could’ve been controlled. We did enjoy a fire in the pit. The lake view was beautiful. Jake was very pleasant and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you!

**Review of Our Stay at Teresa's AirB&B** If I could rate this place a 10, I absolutely would! From the moment we booked Teresa's AirB&B, my expectations were exceeded. I anticipated a simple house, but what we found was a fully stocked home that made us feel truly welcomed—perhaps I even overpacked! The cleanliness of the property was impressive; it looked exactly as depicted in the photos. We enjoyed a variety of activities, including kayaking and cozy bonfires in the backyard, which added to our memorable experience. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the proximity to the lake, just a few minutes away, made our stay even more enjoyable. We even drove up to Leland Mi “fish town” Overall, My 35th birthday was awesome! we had an amazing time and are already planning our return. Thank you, Teresa, for providing such a wonderful getaway! 😊

Tom and Kent were fantastic hosts and the property and home itself were absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and would certainly recommend CC49 to anyone looking to stay in the area. The home was clean and comfortable, with amazing amenities. We had so much fun at the property that we hardly felt any need to go into town! Tom and Kent were more than accommodating when I asked about early check-in and Kent even brought extra kayaks without me having to ask. Overall outstanding!

Anita was an amazing host! She responded very quickly to any questions we had throughout our stay. The pictures do not do this place justice, it’s more beautiful in person. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Coffee pot, toaster, cookware, they thought of everything. Even had extra sunscreen the bathroom. The beach area was also very clean and well stocked, we enjoyed going out on the kayaks. It was the perfect setting to exhale and escape the world for a week on our own private beach. We will definitely be booking with Anita again!

This is our second time staying at Laurie’s Airbnb and we love it. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the winter wonderland up there. Laurie is very communicative and very helpful. The place is comfy and we love that we can bring our dogs!

The Memory Maker was all that we hoped for and so much more. We had initially intended to find an Airbnb on Torch Lake but once we saw this place we booked it right away and it was the perfect choice. We still trailered the boat a quick ride to Torch for an adventure but spent the majority of our trick on Elk Lake and loved it. This Airbnb thought of everything and we wanted for nothing! We took our four adult children and their significants and our grandbaby and we all had plenty of room to enjoy our stay! Hank and Alaina

We had a great time at the cabin, the hosts and cabin are top notch and would highly recommend this place to anyone considering.

We had a great weekend. The cabin is lovely. We hiked at the nearby nature area, fished in the lake & surrounding areas, and explored downtown. We made breakfasts and dinners at the cabin and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable. We enjoyed the variety of boats available.

Awesome house for a long weekend with a big group! It is about a 25-30 minute drive into Traverse City but we appreciated the peacefulness of the smaller lake and beautiful views. Gets pretty buggy at night but that is to be expected on the water in the summer. Some of the most comfortable beds our group had slept in at an Airbnb! Only thing to note that the pictures don’t really show is that the trundle bed is in a loft so will be able to hear from the living room. Pontoon boat was an awesome value add. We’d definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay here with the family! The paddleboat and kayaks were great for the water. We spent most of our time outside on the deck or pier just enjoying the quiet. The large indoor table was great for eating and games, with room for all. Great stay!

The cabin was perfect. So many useful amenities. Perfect for our family snowmobiling trip.

It was a great cabin with full of things provide to do to spend the days away from home. Enough to do for days we didnt have plans to enjoy some cards around the open fire or enjoy some time in the hot tub, or have a friendly game of corn hole

Tom and Deanie were great hosts. The property is very beautiful & peaceful at the end of a dead end road. Not touristy, a great and peaceful place to stay.

We stayed the weekend for our anniversey and it was so peaceful! Loved all the views from inside the house. My husband loved being able to step outside and fish. Would definitely book again.
